    81. Human Relations.

    Vroommm-!

Before they knew it, the distance to the guys had become quite close. Even during the explosion, Deoksu didn’t stop.

Rather, as if this was an opportunity, he stepped on the accelerator even more. He’d been with Johan for quite some time, so his sense had improved.

Deoksu was a great driver for Johan and Sarah.

    ‘I can see them well.’

They had gotten so close that Johan could clearly see them as well. They were constantly firing arrows and various spells as they fled.

Each time, Johan intercepted all the attacks with an indifferent face. It was a contrasting expression to the desperate enemies. Although Johan’s face couldn’t be seen, the enemies felt a chilling fear.

    Boom!

Occasionally, Johan’s spells would land near the enemies. Each time, the speed of the opponent’s vehicle slowed down little by little. It was proof that the group of cars was going down.

After a while, Sarah spoke from beside him. She was lightly stepping on the car’s window. She was in a posture as if she would shoot out at any moment.

    “I’ll be back.”

    “Yes. I’ll cover you.”

Immediately after, something whitish was created beneath her feet. It was Johan’s shield. She kicked off his shield with familiar movements. Her body shot out like a bullet.

    Thwack- Thwack- Thwack-!

When the speed dropped in the middle, Johan created new shields at the right moment. He’d already matched breaths with her countless times. To exaggerate a bit, he felt like he could assist her with his eyes closed.

Before long, Sarah was almost close to the enemy vehicle. Of course, the enemies did everything they could to stop her.

But Johan’s cover was absolute. He blocked with shields, intercepted with spells, and even created footholds to make it easier to dodge anything ambiguous.

Sometimes Sarah would swing her sword. As the distance closed, the frequency gradually increased. Thanks to this, the enemies could realize. Ah, this woman is also a monster no less than that magician.

    “Eek! Stop!”

The archer used four pairs of arms to fire numerous arrows. Sarah sparkled with interest, blocking them all.

Did she use a characteristic enhancement ticket or something? She found the archer’s form fascinating.

Clang Clang Clang Clang Clang Clang-!

    “······!”

The archer and his companions’ mouths opened slightly. Blocking all that with just one sword?

‘I definitely wouldn’t have won in close combat or mid-range combat!’

The archer felt his grip strength gradually loosening. His will to fight was slowly being lost. He touched something he shouldn’t have touched in the first place. He should have just kept running away…

Gritting his teeth, he yelled as if struggling.

“How did I get this far! Do you think I’ll die so easily!”

An enormous longbow, incomparable to before, was created before his eyes. He used all his arms to pull the bowstring.

    Squeak Squeak Squeak-

The tension transmitted from dozens of fingers is not ordinary. This is the last time. If I can’t block it with this, it’s over here!

    “Die!”

    Thwaang-

At the same time, he releases the force in all his fingers. The bowstring escaped his fingers with smooth movements. Immediately after, a log-sized arrow was fired with a sound like a bullet being fired.

At the same time as it was fired, the archer’s entire body returned to its original form. The six arms that had sprouted from his armpits collapsed to the ground. He had used all his strength.

The archer stared ahead. Thanks to his extreme concentration, in the endlessly stretched world, a huge arrow was speeding forward.

    ‘It worked.’

It didn’t explode or get cut in half. It hit properly. The archer felt a momentary relief. There’s still that monster-like magician left, but it’s good enough that he reduced their power even a little…

    Crack-

A strange sound reached his ears.

    “······?”

    Crack Crack Crack Crack-

After making a dumbfounded expression for a moment, the archer soon realized the identity of the sound and let out a hollow sigh. No, he was about to let it out.

    ‘······It broke through that?’

    Crack Crack- Poof!

    “Kuh-heok!”

The archer felt a chilling foreign substance from his uvula. He looked ahead with trembling eyes. A tunnel-like hole had been drilled in the arrow with a long cross-sectional area.

The outer surface of the hole was not ordinary. It was as if it had been dug using a drill. Spiral, regular spiral marks could be seen. Could it be?

‘She performed an act like a drill with just one sword?’

Consciousness gradually sinks down below. The archer forcibly widened his eyes. But he soon lost strength.

Swish, Sarah pulled out her sword. A clear hole was created in the archer’s neck.

    “Kkeoeo······.”

The archer died as is. Sarah raised her eyebrows and looked ahead.

    “Aaaaaah!”

    “Die! You monster bitch!”

The archer’s party was rushing towards her. She raised her sword.

    Claaang-!

Johan’s shield blocks the party’s attack. It was only for a brief moment. Numerous cracks formed on the shield, and the shield shook. It’s okay. That brief gap was enough for Sarah.

Sarah jumped over the shield. Her left hand became blurry.

    “Kkeuaaak!”

A kunai was embedded in the eyes of one of the magicians. It was a throwing weapon purchased from the weapon store. She still wasn’t as good as the black-clothed man she met on the 2nd floor, but she was skilled enough.

At least, she was good enough to use it in combat. Although her skills were inferior to the black-clothed man, her stats were far superior. Sarah used this to land attacks.

‘It’d be good to leave the magician alive, right? Johan needs to take the magic.’

Johan didn’t say it, but Sarah thought so. She was well aware of what Johan was usually interested in.

He pretended not to be, but he was crazy about magic. Sarah decided to give him a gift.

‘Let’s just cut off both legs. That should be enough.’

She’ll make the magician like that, and of course, the rest will be annihilated. Her long sword gleamed in the moonlight.

    ***

“Is that it? Are there no other incantations or spells? You were running at the forefront with just this?”

“Ah, yes! Didn’t I tell you everything! That’s all the spells I know! That’s all the incantations I have!”

    “Hmm······.”

Johan gave a suspicious look. It was a shame. It wasn’t that there weren’t new knowledge or spells, but something was missing.

Johan looked at the magician’s hands.

‘There are no more fingers to cut off, tsk. Is this enough?’

It would be nice to have a spell that makes them tell the truth, but he didn’t have such a convenient spell yet. He might get it someday, though.

“Well, I understand. Now, give it to me.”

    “Yes, yes? What······?”

The magician looked at Johan’s outstretched hand with innocent eyes.

Johan chuckled. What a joke, pretending to be innocent. He found the acting ridiculous.

    “Sarah.”

    “Yes.”

    Swoosh-

“Hee, heeheeik! Ah, I understand! Here, here it is!”

Only when Sarah drew her sword with a blank face did the magician come to his senses.

He was startled and offered all his equipment. There might be a few things sleeping in his inventory, but this is better than nothing.

Johan didn’t overdo it. He placed his finger on the magician’s forehead.

“Thank you for your hard work.”

    “Yes······.”

The magician trembled all over and closed his eyes. He was trying to calmly accept his end.

    Psh-

A hole was created in his forehead. Johan turned around and walked away. There was a motorcycle reflecting the moonlight.

    ‘My stats went up.’

His movement speed must have increased as well. Johan jumped onto the motorcycle.

    He said indifferently.

“Let’s go. We’re running behind schedule. I’m sorry.”

    “It’s okay. Let’s go, Deoksu.”

    Deoksu responded loudly.

“Understood! Shall we take a ride!”

    Vroommm-!

In the blurring scenery, Johan’s mind was elsewhere.

It’s been quite a while since he entered the 3rd floor.

    ‘It’ll be over soon.’

The guys from just now were the raiders he’d encountered after quite a long time.

The pyramidal structure was similar in modern times and on the 3rd floor, and it was difficult to meet people at the forefront.

How many players would be left in the future, the number was certainly not large.

    Johan looked at the ground.

‘It’s not a game, but the ground condition in the wasteland is strangely consistent.’

At least, no team had taken the route that Johan’s party was speeding along. The traces on the ground were telling him this.

Of course, the wasteland is vast. The traces of the summoned players in the distance are bound to be invisible.

But still, it was meaningful information. Until now, the traces on the ground had continued to be visible.

But it stopped with the enemies from just now.

    Johan’s eyes sank.

‘If necessary, I should tell Sarah to regress.’

He can’t accept any rank other than first place. He has a regression card in his hand, so he should use it.

Johan glanced back. What should he say to her?

Please die? Shall we regress? Shall we start the 3rd floor again?

Numerous words came to mind and were assembled.

He has to convey a clear intention without being too rude.

    “······.”

It’s difficult. After all, human relationships are the most difficult. Johan sighed secretly.
