Xiao Ge’s sudden eruption of rage was almost unbelievable.

His iron fist struck the Emotion Beast with lightning speed, leaving it no chance to resist.

    The impact was beyond words.

Every punch, every blow carried overwhelming force.

Just watching it left Su Qingya speechless.

Xiao Ge’s body continued to swell.

Originally, his build was only slightly more robust than an average person’s, but now he had transformed into a towering, muscle-bound giant standing at 2.3 meters tall.

Thus, all that could be seen was a storm of furious fists raining down on the Emotion Beast, accompanied by Xiao Ge’s enraged roars. There were no flashy techniques, no bizarre abilities—just raw, brutal power, shattering all resistance with sheer physical force.

Meanwhile, Leng Xiao maintained her control.

Under the toll of her bell, the Emotion Beast’s heart was frozen, forced to watch helplessly as Xiao Ge’s frenzied fists pummeled its body. The solid concrete floor cracked beneath the assault, yet it could do nothing.

Perhaps, under the influence of the bell, even as the fists struck, it would remain eerily calm, its mind blank, its instincts suppressed—unable to react even as its body was torn apart.

Su Qingya had no intention of stepping in.

Chen Qiu had warned her: never approach an enraged Emotion Wielder in battle, even if they were an ally. After all, one could never be sure what had triggered their fury, and rage had a way of obliterating reason.

Leng Xiao kept a close eye on her, preventing any reckless action.

Besides, faced with such a scene, even if Su Qingya wanted to intervene, she wouldn’t dare.

    It was madness.

What could have driven Xiao Ge to such frenzy?

Su Qingya pondered the source of his anger—how he had managed to unleash such an exaggerated burst of power in such a short time.

She wanted to learn from it but had no idea how to ask.

With one final punch, Xiao Ge shattered the fourth-floor hospital’s ground, his massive hand piercing through the Emotion Beast’s chest and tearing out a flickering core.

Losing its core meant the beast was truly dead.

Su Qingya froze for a moment, realizing she had been utterly useless in the fight.

Leng Xiao saw through her thoughts and murmured, “Su Qingya, you weren’t brought along to accomplish anything, but to learn. Now, do you understand what coordination means?”

    Su Qingya nodded.

A single enraged Emotion Wielder paired with a tranquil one had effortlessly crushed a four-star Emotion Beast. The sheer absurdity of it.

By leveraging the strengths of their respective paths and working in tandem, their combat power had reached unimaginable heights.

She felt a flicker of relief.

She was a combatant, Nian Nian was support—perhaps the two of them could achieve something similar.

Another chime of the bell rang out, and Xiao Ge immediately snapped out of his rage.

Truly, the paths of Rage and Tranquility were a match made in heaven.

“This bastard set up a lot of traps waiting for us. If not for Xu Nian’s warning, we might’ve walked right in without even realizing it.”

Xiao Ge held the core in his hand, speaking frankly without downplaying Xu Nian’s contribution.

“But how did Xu Nian know? She actually called it.”

With that, he tossed the core to Su Qingya. “Hold onto this for me.”

Leng Xiao didn’t object—perhaps letting Su Qingya handle a high-star Emotion Beast core would be beneficial.

Xiao Ge’s words stirred a trace of doubt in Su Qingya.

Right… how had Nian Nian known? She was outside the whole time, wasn’t she?

    But that wasn’t important now.

“Since it’s dealt with, let’s get out quickly. Nian Nian must be worried sick.”

“Though, to be honest, the whole fight took less than a minute.”

Leng Xiao’s deadpan remark made Su Qingya’s cheeks flush slightly.

Just then, the communicator crackled to life again.

“Captain! Bad news! Xu Nian’s gone!”

It was Gu Tong’s frantic voice.

“What? How could she disappear? Weren’t you with her the whole time?” Xiao Ge’s brow furrowed, his expression darkening.

“Yeah, that’s right! We were standing at the hospital entrance together, but the second I blinked, she vanished—literally, just the time it took for my eyelids to move. It was like a magic trick!”

Gu Tong’s voice was a rapid-fire jumble of panic.

Even she couldn’t maintain her usual cheerful demeanor now.

After all, she was a Joy Wielder, not a psychopath—she couldn’t just giggle while reporting something like this.

    “Qingya!”

The moment Su Qingya heard the news, she bolted.

Leng Xiao immediately struck her bell, freezing Su Qingya mid-step.

    “You’re too reckless.”

“How can I not be reckless?! Nian Nian’s missing—she must be in danger!”

“Taking the stairs is too slow.”

    Xiao Ge suddenly spoke.

He tested the window beside him, found it stuck, and promptly punched the frame. The entire window, glass and all, was knocked loose, but he caught it before it could fall—no need to turn it into a deadly projectile.

    This was the fourth floor.

He jumped straight down, landing firmly on the ground, leaving a shallow crater under his feet.

    “C-Captain?!”

Gu Tong was startled—anyone would be if a person suddenly dropped from the sky—but she quickly snapped out of it.

“Captain, Xu Nian disappeared right here.”

“There are traces of an Emotion Artifact being activated.”

Su Qingya stared at the broken window, tempted to follow Xiao Ge’s lead, but Leng Xiao stopped her again.

“Are you trying to kill yourself? This is the fourth floor. Not everyone is as thick-skinned as him.”

    “But—”

    “Use your ability.”

Leng Xiao’s sharp reminder cut through.

    Su Qingya jolted in realization.

    Fear—distorting reality…

A blink later, Su Qingya appeared beside Xiao Ge, stumbling slightly as she teleported from the fourth floor to the ground.

Leng Xiao… had to take the stairs.

    “Well?”

“There are traces of an Emotion Artifact. Since not much time has passed, some residue remains. Tracking it shouldn’t be too hard, but… we’d need Chen Qiu for this.”

Perseverance Path Wielders were experts in tracking—each one a detective—though their overall combat prowess was lacking.

But Chen Qiu was at the Public Security Bureau. By the time he arrived, it’d be far too late.

The thoughts from the Ferris wheel at the amusement park surged back into her mind, flooding every corner of her consciousness, leaving no room for anything else.

    [Fear Value: 90%]

A dark aura spread, so chilling and piercing that even Xiao Ge felt its sting—and now, Leng Xiao couldn’t stop her.

Su Qingya yanked the chainsaw’s starter cord.

The deafening whirr of the blade sent a shudder through Xiao Ge and Gu Tong.

    “Su Qingya!”

    “Nian Nian… I’ll find you.”

The high-speed rotating blade seemed to be tearing through something intangible.

    Xiao Ge’s eyes widened.

Space itself was being ripped apart by her Emotion Artifact.

Through the fractured void, a glimpse of the other side could be seen.

    A theater.

And at its forefront—a crimson stage.
