Chapter Index

“Did you come to see Seo?”

Her mother greeted me at the door with her usual gentle voice.

But she had just finished showering, it seemed, wearing only a towel around her naked body.

I quickly averted my gaze downwards.

“Oh dear, Seo’s not home yet. Shall I call her?”

“I-It’s alright! I actually came to talk to you about something.”

“Is that so? Come in, it’s cold out.”

I followed her into the living room and sat beside her on the large sofa.

“What is it you wanted to talk about?”

    “Well, it’s…”

“Why are you so intimidated? Is something troubling you?”

I appreciated her kindness, but the current situation was the most troubling thing of all.

I’d gone to my childhood friend’s house, only to find her mother wearing nothing but a towel, sitting right next to me.

I was completely flustered, not knowing where to look.

If she were just an average-looking woman, I wouldn’t be so embarrassed.

But she was Yiseo’s mother, possessing a beauty that rivaled her daughter’s.

As a result, even though I knew I shouldn’t, I couldn’t help but steal glances, making it all the more awkward.

“Is it hard to talk about? It’s okay, tell me. I’ll help you.”

As she leaned closer to me, her sweet body wash scent tickled my nose.

The cleavage barely covered by the towel and her pale thighs kept drawing my eyes.

Doesn’t she feel embarrassed in this state?

Of course, she had a face and body that anyone would be proud to show off.

It was hard to believe she had a college-aged daughter, as young and beautiful as she was.

I knew she had Yiseo early due to certain circumstances, but still, this was definitely not an appropriate outfit for the situation.

“Are you… are you sure you’re okay not wearing clothes?”

“Hm? Are you worried I’ll be embarrassed? It’s alright. I told you before, right? I think of you as a son, Jihoon. I don’t mind at all, so feel free to relax.”

I appreciated her treating me so warmly like a son.

But, unfortunately, I couldn’t feel the same way about her.

We weren’t as close as I was with my own mother, and besides, she looked more like an older sister than a mother.

“I usually stay naked until I’m completely dry after showering. I quickly threw this on when I heard you were here.”

    “Oh… I see.”

“So, what is it? Tell me.”

She said it was her usual habit, so it was hard to tell her to put on some clothes.

I decided to get to the point, while trying my best to avoid looking at her body.

“I wanted to give you a gift.”

“A gift? What’s this all of a sudden?”

“I’m grateful for letting me stay at your house for free and taking care of me.”

“Oh, no, it’s okay. I’m not expecting anything in return. I really don’t need anything.”

    She waved her hand dismissively.

The movement caused her ample chest to jiggle slightly.

I was worried the towel would come loose, but thankfully, the chest served as a natural barrier, preventing any unwanted accidents.

“I already ordered it, so please accept it. I’m always receiving, so this will make me feel better.”

“Are you sure? Well, thank you, Jihoon.”

    “So, what I ordered is…”

I turned on my phone and showed her a webpage.

    “This clothes refresher.”

“A clothes refresher? Those are expensive… Oh my, did you really order this?”

“Yes. Yiseo said you wanted one. It should be delivered in a couple of days.”

“Did you get a part-time job? How could you afford something so expensive…?”

She stared intently at the phone screen, unsure of what to say.

I spoke in a more serious tone than before.

“I really wanted to give it to you, so don’t feel burdened.”

“Okay… Thank you so much, Jihoon.”

Even though it wasn’t money I’d earned through my own sweat and tears, I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing I’d done something for her.

I’ll continue to repay her kindness in the future.

“If there’s anything I can help with, please let me know. Like if you need help with anything around the house.”

    “Jihoon…”

    “Huh?!”

My face mirrored my expression when I first saw her in just a towel.

She had suddenly embraced me without warning.

“I’m so thankful that you’ve grown up to be such a fine young man.”

Her smooth, slightly damp skin pressed against me.

Her warmth from the hot shower was fully conveyed, and her breasts, wrapped in the towel, were pressed against me.

It was an arousing sensation that I couldn’t help but feel, no matter how hard I tried.

“Your mother must be so proud of you in heaven…”

    “Ah… Thank you.”

Even though the atmosphere was anything but, my oblivious lower body began to swell.

When she finally released me, I had to turn away, awkwardly shifting my weight to hide my crotch.

    “What’s wrong? …Oh my.”

Realizing what was happening, she covered her mouth in surprise.

    “Ah, that…”

“I-It’s okay! Men can’t control things down there, right? I should have been more considerate. I’m sorry.”

Even in this situation, she was worried about embarrassing me more than herself.

But that didn’t make the awkwardness disappear.

Having finished my business, I quickly said goodbye and headed for the door.

    “I’ll be going now! Goodbye!”

“Y-Yes. Be careful on your way.”

I practically ran out of her house.

‘What are you doing, thinking such things about someone who treats you like a son and is so kind to you? …No, but how can anyone resist when someone with that face and body is clinging to you?’

Guilt and a sense of inevitability clashed in my mind.

But it was clear that she was quite flustered on the inside, even though she tried not to show it.

‘I need to be more careful next time. But I think she was staring at my crotch… Was that just my imagination?’

The more I thought about it, the more embarrassed I became, so I decided to stop.

I made a mental note to be more careful next time and hurried home.

“Wow. Is this the place? The atmosphere is amazing.”

Following Yiseo Kang into a bar, Park Yuna looked around with wide eyes.

“It’s nice, right? All the rooms here are private, so you can relax and drink without worrying about anyone else.”

“Really? Wow, there are so many things on the menu!”

“The food is all delicious, so order whatever you want. You can even try all the drinks you’ve always wanted to.”

“Yes! I’m… I’m really grateful. It’s always been my dream to come to a place like this with a friend. And to think I’m here with you, Yiseo, I honestly still can’t believe it.”

Park Yuna, speaking shyly, quickly added with a start.

“Oh! It’s our first time meeting today, so calling each other friends might be a bit much, right? Anyway, thank you for bringing me here.”

“We’re practically colleagues, and we’ll probably become even closer in the future, so you don’t have to be so formal. Shall we order first?”

    “Yes!”

The drinks and food arrived, and the two of them chatted more comfortably than when they first met.

Park Yuna couldn’t hide her happiness, experiencing her dream with someone she admired.

Yiseo Kang, in turn, was enjoying herself thanks to her companion.

In the friendly atmosphere, the two of them were getting pleasantly tipsy.

“So this is what it feels like to be tipsy. My vision is slightly slow, and my body feels slow too, but I feel great. Hehe.”

“Yuna, you’re handling it better than I expected.”

“Really? Do I have a talent for this?”

“Is this really your first time drinking?”

“Yes. I’ve never had any friends before…. I was bullied a bit in high school, so I have a hard time approaching people since then…”

Park Yuna poured out her heart after a few drinks.

Pity was evident in Yiseo’s eyes as she looked at her.

‘What reason could there be to bully such a nice person…’

In the world of women, groups often form for trivial reasons.

The problem is that no matter how insignificant the reason, the emotional scars are much deeper.

Thinking that the person in front of her had gone through such things, she was glad she had suggested this outing.

“…You must have been very lonely all this time.”

“Yes, well…. But I’m okay these days! There’s someone who’s been really nice to me!”

    “Really? That’s good to hear.”

“Yes! He’s an guy who lives in the same building, and he’s so kind and handsome!”

Yiseo’s expression brightened along with the other woman’s face.

“Your voice perked up as soon as you mentioned him. Do you like him?”

“Yes! But he already likes someone else. So he said he can’t date me…”

    “Oh…”

Park Yuna’s shoulders slumped as quickly as her face had brightened.

Yiseo also let out a small sigh and fell silent.

But her sigh wasn’t just to match the other woman’s mood.

It came naturally from the fact that the other woman was struggling with relationship issues, just like she was.

“It’s really hard when that happens…”

    “Do you like someone, Yiseo?”

“Yes, I do. But another woman is after him too.”

    Startled, Park Yuna leaned forward.

“Really?! Then you have to catch him quickly!”

“I know that in my head, but I don’t have the courage… I hate myself for being so pathetic, but I can’t help it.”

    “What should we do…”

The other woman’s face was even more serious than when she was talking about herself.

There were even tears welling up in her eyes.

    “Yuna…?”

Taken aback by the unexpected reaction, Yiseo was surprised when Park Yuna jumped up and grabbed her hand.

    “Yiseo!”

    “Y-Yes?!”

“I never knew you were my comrade!”

    “Comrade?”

“Yes! A comrade with similar worries!”

    “Oh…”

“We have to succeed! We have to get the people we like! Until then, let’s cheer each other on as comrades!”

    “Ah… Yes. Let’s do that.”

Overwhelmed by the other woman’s energy, she somehow ended up making a pinky promise.

But perhaps it was because she had met someone who was struggling with a similar problem.

Or perhaps it was because she could feel the sincerity in Park Yuna’s support.

She felt as if she had shared the heavy burden she had been carrying alone, and Yiseo’s heart felt lighter than before.

“Shall we have a drink to cheer each other on?”

    “Yes, Yiseo!”

The two women clinked glasses, their laughter echoing until the end of the night.
