I was deeply saddened when I realized the shocking fact that there was absolutely no difference in height between before and after entering the academy.

How long had it been since I had been gazing out the window like a pitiful tragic heroine, lost in my emotions, and concentrating on the conversations of several people? Then, the scenery passing by outside the window stopped.

If I hadn’t been looking out the window, I probably wouldn’t have noticed that the carriage had stopped. Soon, the coachman knocked politely on the door.

“I’m going to take a short break, so if you have any business, please finish it.”

It was a one-sided notice, but it wasn’t particularly strange. The coachman, who was merely an employee, had the right to carry out the appropriate schedule he judged based on the horse’s condition, and the people in the carriage who heard the story didn’t find it particularly strange.

Ayla was the first to open the door and run out. Next was Cosette. The two of them, like dogs who can’t stand still for a moment when going for a walk, somehow managed to hold out until now.

The rest of them didn’t show it either, but they must have felt quite frustrated because they hurriedly went out, and I felt the same way.

The moment I stepped outside, or rather the moment I opened the door, a blast of warm air hit me. It was a weather that wouldn’t be strange to call midsummer. I wondered if there was some kind of air conditioning function inside the carriage to control the temperature.

It should have been much hotter than outside, sizzling under the scorching sun, but I didn’t feel that way at all while riding. That’s the power of magic.

Cosette and Ayla, who had gotten off earlier, stretched their bodies here and there, and as if that wasn’t enough, they pulled out their swords and started swinging them around. Of course, it didn’t seem like they were sincere, but they were swinging at a moderate speed.

Agnes sat with his back against the tree, blankly staring at the two from the shade. Mathias stood a little distance away from Agnes, as if he were guarding him. Of course, he was a little nervous about leaving Agnes alone.

The weather was quite hot, but the sky was very clear in proportion. The chaos that had occurred at the Academy seemed like a lie, as it was so peaceful. The gentle breeze, birds chirping here and there, I don’t know their names, and the lush trees swaying in the wind, playing music naturally called nature.

While I was lost in such sentiments, I quietly went back into the carriage and sat down. Soon after, as expected, people started coming back in one by one.

The weather was nice, and it was nice to enjoy nature in a different place than usual, but… it was too hot.

    Air conditioning is the best.

“What? When did Princess and Anya come?”

As I was waiting for Ayla to come out of the shower with Agnes, Ayla appeared in a bathrobe. Ayla would sometimes call Agnes Anya, but it was impressive to see Agnes make a face that looked very disgusted when called that.

The peaceful carriage journey continued without incident, and we decided to stop at a town as a stopover and rest. We had already taken three double rooms and divided them into three: Mathias and Yugram, me and Agnes, and Cosette and Ayla. It wasn’t long before we went into our rooms.

I had already ordered Cosette to use the bathroom first and to wash for a little longer, and after washing quickly with Agnes, I quickly went to Ayla’s room. I hadn’t forgotten to lock the door so Ayla couldn’t escape.

“Come on, Ayla.. You weren’t going to just let it go, were you?”

    “..What, what?”

Ayla felt something and took a step back. However, there was no place to run away anymore. Cosette smiled and grabbed Ayla’s shoulder from behind, and Ayla was slowly led by that hand to sit in the center of the room.

I checked it and picked up the cup on the table and tapped the bottom of it on the table. I felt three people’s eyes focused on it.

“Now, let’s talk about the incident where Ayla cheekily tried to steal Mathias’ chastity.”

As soon as I finished speaking, Ayla tried to run away, but she couldn’t escape from Cosette, who had already taken control of her seat. And since she wasn’t wearing any clothes, there was no way she could run away.

    “..I’m disappointed, Ayla.”

“No.. No! That’s not true! The princess was exaggerating!”

“If you say you’re a manager, does that mean you’ve done something similar before?”

Ayla stopped as if she was speechless at Agnes’ words. Ayla’s face turned red. Cosette smirked and poked Ayla.

“Hey~ What on earth did Ayla do to Mathias? Does Ayla like cute faces like Mathias? ”

“..Specifically? It was just something that happened by chance during training, and I don’t have any feelings about it?”

Ayla avoided Cosette’s gaze with a tone and expression that clearly indicated that she was beating around the bush. I spoke to pursue her.

“But if I hadn’t stopped her, Ayla would have attacked Matias right?”

“What are you covering up! I was just staring at your lips with my eyes drawn to them.. Ah.”

Ayla quickly covered her mouth as if she had made a slip of the tongue, but she had already said everything she wanted to say. Agnes, who had been pretending not to notice, was also looking at Ayla with eyes that seemed to be burning with curiosity.

Since the criminal confessed to his crime, it seemed like the story would progress quickly.

First of all, it was a bit strange to leave her in only a bathrobe, so Ayla got dressed in light clothing and the interrogation continued.

“..Well, I was just a little out of my mind back then.. I don’t really like him..”

“But wasn’t he really embarrassed when Mathias said Ayla was cute? And I’ve seen him embarrassed or rely on Mathias more than once or twice…”

    “That’s!! That’s..”

Ayla was angry and tried to refute me, but she couldn’t say anything and just mumbled. Well, even if she wanted to refute me, she wouldn’t have anything to say. I patted Ayla on the shoulder.

“Aila.. It’s okay. It’s not wrong or shameful to like someone. I support Aila’s love.”

Didn’t you like my easygoing comfort? Ayla said with shining eyes.

“What about that princess? Didn’t the princess like the healer too?”

    “Eek!?”

Cosette, who was next to me, jumped in surprise. What a great reaction. I sighed as Ayla began talking again.

“Aila. I’ve said this before, but um… to use a vulgar expression, there’s no way I’d like an old man like Yugram…”

    “Huh? The therapist is old?”

Agnes, who had been quietly watching, was surprised and intervened. Well, it would be hard to guess Yugram’s age since he looks like a normal young man.

“I don’t know exactly, but when I was a 4-year-old kid, Yugram was already an adult. That was 10 years ago, so if you think about it, he must be at least 30.”

    “Wow.. No, that’s amazing.”

Cosette muttered absentmindedly. Of course, it is a great thing that she takes good care of herself so that she doesn’t show any signs of aging at her age. But I don’t think she will miss her prime and get married because of me.

But that was nothing special to Ayla, she snorted as she answered.

“It’s not like being old makes the princess dislike the healer. Rather, isn’t it because she’s lying to us to avoid being caught?”

“..What are you talking about? Of course, Yu Gram is handsome, rich, has amazing swordsmanship, and of course, he’s good at studying and is a genius at many things.. but I don’t really like Yu Gram, right? ”

As I folded my fingers and recited objective facts about Yugram, Aylan and Cosette’s faces somehow became tired. Well, when I hear it again, he was a person with ridiculous specs.

“..Then, can I ask what kind of man the princess’s ideal type is?”

    “My ideal type..”

I folded my arms and began to think about the ideal type that Agnes had asked me about. It was a question I didn’t have to think about much when I was a royal, and it was a topic that was difficult to think about even now.

There were quite a few reasons for that.. One of the biggest reasons was the fundamental doubt about whether I could have a normal married life. There may be no problem with my body itself.. but I had many thoughts about whether this curse that continuously eats away at my body and magic power, this curse, would have any effect on pregnancy and childbirth.

Well, let’s leave serious talk aside for now and just talk about my ideal type… First of all, it would have to be someone who matches my mental age, like an old man. In other words, he can’t be an empty-headed idiot, and he’d also like a lot of money because he doesn’t want to work hard. I don’t plan on living off of my face, but if I have children, he’d have to be pretty good-looking for a bright future. Also, if he’s a brat, he’d easily get into trouble and get beaten up, so he’d have to know some swordsmanship. He pointed out other characteristics that he thought would be convenient.

    “..aha.”

For some reason, I felt the gazes of the three people looking at me change to lukewarm. It was as if they were looking at a child who actually believed in a fairy tale, so I could see how I was being treated. I added as if making an excuse.

“..Of course, this is just a story of how I wish someone like this existed. It’s not like I’m really hoping for one?”

“No.. No. That’s enough. The princess really..”

Cosette shook her head. What’s the matter? Agnes patted my shoulder.
