Chapter Index

When I opened the dormitory door, Charlotte and Marie were waiting for me.

    “Welcome. Charlotte, Marie.”

    “Oh, hello!”

Charlotte greeted me, and Marie also bowed her head behind Charlotte to greet me.

I invited them into the house and asked if they had eaten.

“Have you had breakfast? If not, I made meatballs. Would you like to have some?”

    “Yes!”

Charlotte quickly nodded at the mention of meatballs and was about to enter quickly but stopped abruptly.

I wondered what was wrong, but Lily was glaring at Charlotte with a very scary look.

“If you frown, you’ll get wrinkles.”

I gently pushed Charlotte’s back as she stood still.

“It’s okay. Lily, wrinkles on the forehead!”

At my words, Lily turned her head with a hmph. Charlotte looked at me as if asking if she was okay, and I nodded to reassure her.

We ate meatballs together, and of course, Lily’s turn to feed would be next. We sat around the table, enjoying tea and chatting.

The topic this time was about who Lily’s opponent would be.

It was said that the representatives of each academy would first engage in a match.

Therefore, Lily was supposed to spar with the representatives of each academy before anyone else.

Marie explained that she had been studying the representatives of each country’s academies for Lily.

As she was describing the representatives of the academies of different countries, when she was about to mention the last representative.

“Among them, the most dangerous one is Emily, the representative of Levank Academy!”

    “…Emily?”

As soon as Lily heard Marie’s words, her expression changed drastically, starting to look fierce.

“She’s called the Guardian Knight because she wears a white armor and has white hair.”

Why is that? Do you know Emily? Emily?

“She’s not suddenly here, she was always planning to come to the academy. She always wanted to come to the academy.”

Lily occasionally muttered to herself and got lost in her own world. But Emily seemed very familiar, yet an unfamiliar name to her memory.

The name Levank also seemed familiar. Well, it’s strange that I haven’t heard of it until now, considering it’s a neighboring country.

But it feels like I know something, and if I remember a little more, I might know, but it feels like it’s blocked by a thin, unbreakable barrier.

What is it? It seems like a name I knew… Am I mistaken? I wouldn’t forget something like that. Even if I’m like this, my memory is excellent.

    “Did I say something wrong…?”

As Lily and I suddenly became serious, Marie cautiously spoke, and Lily suddenly got up, took my hand, and dragged me to the bedroom.

    “Lily? Lily?”

With a more serious expression than ever, Lily opened her mouth.

    “Amelia. You don’t know Emily?”

    “Um… I don’t know?”

Why is she suddenly acting like this? Does Lily know something?

    “Do you know Emily, Lily?”

    “There’s no way I wouldn’t know…”

    “You don’t know Emily? Lily?”

    “No, it’s Amelia.”

    “Huh? Me? Um… I don’t remember…?”

“There’s no way! Didn’t Amelia have a younger sister!?”

Lily said in a loud voice, accusing me.

    “No. I was always alone.”

“You didn’t have a younger sister!?”

    “No, I didn’t?”

A younger sister. What is Lily talking about? I received all of Amelia’s memories, so I wouldn’t forget something like that.

As I merged completely with Amelia, receiving all her memories and emotions. Memories of being abandoned by my parents at a young age and living diligently on my own, there was never a younger sister.

    “Amelia! Try to remember again!”

    “Ugh. Lily, it hurts…!”

When Lily’s hand firmly grasped my shoulder, pain surged through me, and Lily quickly realized her actions and hurriedly let go.

“I-I’m sorry. Can I have some time alone, just for a moment?”

    “Of course.”

Lily cautiously spoke to me as she held her head. I nodded and left the bedroom.

As I exited the bedroom, Charlotte and Marie were standing in front of the door, fidgeting nervously.

    “Are you okay?”

    “D-did I do something wrong?”

Charlotte asked me with a worried expression, and Marie looked like she was about to cry.

“It’s okay. Lily seems to have a lot on her mind. Don’t worry, Marie. You haven’t done anything wrong.”

I reassured them and tried to enjoy tea time again, but it was difficult in this atmosphere.

Charlotte and Marie said they would go back, asking me to take care of Lily. Of course, even without such a request, I would take care of Lily as her maid.

But I don’t really understand why Lily looked so desperate and asked in such a manner.

What exactly is the relationship between Lily and Emily?

According to Marie, Emily is the representative of an academy in the neighboring country called Levank. Lily can’t meet Emily.

Or is Emily so famous that Lily reacted like that? But she said I shouldn’t worry if I don’t know…

Is she famous enough for me to know?

Hmm… I don’t know. Let’s think about what I can do for Lily until she calms down.

    Things Lily likes.

Hmm… She seems to like my chest… and my soft stomach. Come to think of it, she seems to like my saliva too.

Ah. Is that why she wants me to feed her meatballs!?

I finally realized. Could it be that Lily likes my saliva mixed with meatballs?

Wow. Lily is more perverted than I thought… Well, that means she likes me that much.

But I don’t really have anything I can do for Lily. When I think about it, I have to listen to everything Lily says. Right? Is it meaningful if I do it myself?

Hmm… I need to think about it a little more.

    ==

I can’t seem to organize my thoughts.

    Emily. Amelia’s younger sister.

In the past, Amelia clearly said she didn’t have any siblings, but she mentioned having a sister.

She said her sister was really kind and diligent, and she missed her. She said it herself.

But she doesn’t know. She doesn’t know. She didn’t have a sister. What is she talking about?

Amelia is definitely Amelia. The smell of her chest, the scent of her sweat, the smell of her saliva were all the same as in the past. That’s for sure.

No matter how you look at it, Amelia is Amelia. But the past Amelia and the past are different? What kind of situation is this?

Did I come from a different past? Did I come from a past where Amelia didn’t have a sister? Or was there such a thing as a parallel world? Is that possible?

So was Helena different? Then the Amelia I know is the real Amelia.

    Stop. Stop.

My magic was perfect. I came back for sure, and there’s no doubt about it. So where did it go wrong? That’s the problem.

First, Amelia. Why did you forget your sister’s memories?

No, it’s not just forgetting. It’s like she completely disappeared as if she never existed.

Did Emily disappear? No, that’s not it.

At first, I thought it might be that Emily, but then Marie’s description of the white armor and white hair.

    It perfectly represents Emily.

I got to know Emily when I caused several incidents to go back in time.

Someone was chasing me relentlessly, so I thought I should at least see their face. And there she appeared, clad in pristine white armor, her white hair fluttering in the wind. But at that moment, Emily’s face clearly bore the countenance of a murderer.

Emily, with a face that did not befit the title of a guardian knight. She introduced herself as Amelia’s sister and declared that she had come this far to kill me.

She had to kill her own sister, Amelia, because of me.

How angry I was at that moment. If she hadn’t been Amelia’s sister, I would have torn her head and body apart right then and there.

Still, because she was Amelia’s sister, I let her off with just a warning and left.

And now, that Emily is coming to the academy.

Amelia had completely forgotten about Emily. But what about Emily?

I have no idea what’s going on. For now, I don’t think it’s a good idea to let Emily and Amelia meet.

    ==

As time passed, the academy festival began.

I found the academy festival to be more amusing than I had expected.

I thought it would be like any other university festival, but I never imagined it would be this grand.

The number of students gathered from the four countries was staggering.

The usually spacious academy was now packed with people, and just looking out the windows made me not want to go outside.

The thought of being squeezed in there… was terrifying.

The only relief was that Lily said we only had to go out for the academy exchange competition on the last day of the festival.

Even though there was perception-obscuring magic, the density was still overwhelming.

The festival lasted for 5 days, with various competitions held each day. I wanted to see what competitions were being held, but I decided to give up.

Instead, Lily and I spent the next 4 days in the dormitory, feeding meatballs to the students, bathing together, and passing the time.

And then the final day arrived. We were preparing diligently early in the morning to watch Lily’s performance in the academy representatives’ sparring at the same place where Lily had been selected as a representative before.

But suddenly, Lily informed me, “Amelia, stay in the dormitory.”

    What is she talking about!

And why is she suddenly using informal language these days!? Well, I don’t mind, but still.

No, I was supposed to watch Lily’s splendid performance!
