by fnovelpiaThe Celestial Council building surpassed any building Hyunseong had ever seen in terms of scale and magnificence. The magnificent white jade building, as if carved from a huge mountain range, was composed of hundreds of spires and domes, and its surface shone dazzlingly in the sunlight. Golden pillars were densely placed around the building like a forest, and between them, artificial waterways with clear, transparent water flowed intricately like spiderwebs.
At the entrance to the building was a huge golden door, flanked on either side by armed guardians standing in a stern posture.
Their armor shone dazzlingly, and the spears and shields they held radiated divine power. The majestic atmosphere created by all of this combined was awe-inspiring.
It was as if I had stepped into the realm of the gods.
In front of the magnificent parliament building, a familiar pink hair caught my eye. It was Gabrielle. She was wearing a dazzling white dress and had a bright smile on her face, as if she had been waiting for Hyeonseong.
“Oh my, our baby, you’re finally here!”
As soon as Gabrielle saw Hyunseong, she grabbed his hand and hugged him. Her ample breasts gently pressed against Hyunseong’s body, and her sweet scent tickled the tip of his nose.
“I missed you, baby.”
She whispered softly, stroking Hyunseong’s head. Her voice was warm and cozy, like the sunlight of a spring day.
“Gabriel too…”
Hyunseong answered with an awkward smile. He was flustered by Gabrielle’s sudden physical contact, but he felt his heart relax with her warm embrace.
Gabrielle held Hyunseong’s hand for a moment and looked around. Her smile disappeared at the sight of angels whispering and stealing glances at Hyunseong from afar.
“Actually… I didn’t know I would be bringing my baby to the Celestial Council this quickly.”
She said with a bitter expression.
“Originally, I wanted to give the baby enough time to adapt to heaven and slowly show him the beauty of heaven…”
Gabriel shook his head in regret.
“But… among the angels… there were too many who were lacking… who were anxious to see the baby’s face rather than caring for the baby.”
She let out a deep sigh.
“No matter how much Michael and I tried to stop him, it was no use. The situation was much more serious than expected.”
She looked at Hyunseong with an apologetic expression. Then she slowly knelt down on one knee. Hyunseong was taken aback by her sudden action and tried to raise her up.
“Gabriel, why are you like this all of a sudden? Wake up.”
But Gabriel gently blocked his touch and lowered his head.
“I’m so sorry, honey. I’ll apologize on behalf of the angels for their rudeness.”
Her voice was full of sincerity.
“A baby is… so precious and amazing to our angels.”
Gabriel slowly raised his head and looked into Hyunseong’s eyes. Her emerald eyes were moist.
“Again… You are the savior we have been waiting and awaiting for a long time… The one in the prophecy. You are the one who will save the world from darkness and bring peace.”
She took Hyunseong’s hand and held it with both hands as if praying.
“The baby’s existence is… to us… like light… like hope… that kind of existence.”
She gently kissed the back of Hyunseong’s hand. The moment her warm lips touched the back of Hyunseong’s hand, a strange thrill ran through his body.
“How dare those rude angels… treat such a child so carelessly… .”
She spoke in a voice mixed with anger and sadness.
“Really… This is unforgivable.”
She bowed her head deeply once again.
“Savior, please forgive us. We are still lacking… We cannot properly assist you.”
Hyunsung felt his heart shaken by Gabriel’s sincere apology. He could tell that these angels truly respected and worshiped him. Of course, their excessive attention and worship felt burdensome. But at least they didn’t seem to have any ill intentions.
“It’s okay, Gabriel. I understand.”
Hyunseong spoke in a soft voice. He lightly patted Gabrielle on the shoulder and helped her up.
“I’m happy that everyone likes me, but… it’s also a little burdensome.”
He confessed his honest feelings.
“Slowly… I hope we can take our time and get to know each other.”
Gabriel seemed moved by Hyunseong’s words and his eyes welled up with tears.
“Baby… Really… You are… So… .”
She couldn’t continue speaking and hugged Hyunseong. A warm and soft sensation enveloped him.
“Really… thank you… baby… .”
She whispered in his ear. Hyunseong felt his tension relax in her warm embrace.
‘Maybe… this place isn’t so bad… .’
For a moment, he forgot his anxiety and surrendered himself to Gabriel’s embrace.
At that moment, as if time had stopped with Hyunseong’s body pressed against Gabriel’s ample chest, a cough rang out.
“Big, big.”
It was Angela. She adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses and pretended to have a stern expression. But her reddened earlobes could not hide her true feelings.
“Gabriel, stop it now.”
Her voice was cold, but there was a subtle jealousy hidden within it.
Hyunseong only then noticed the angel knights standing behind him. They were maintaining the neat posture of elite knights, but their eyes were not ordinary.
A strange desire was burning in him, as if he was a beast eyeing its prey.
‘Oh, that’s awkward…’
Hyunseong felt his face turn red and hurriedly escaped from Gabriel’s arms.
“Oh, sorry. Gabriel.”
“It’s okay, baby. You can whine a little more in Mommy’s arms.”
Gabriel pouts regretfully and strokes Hyunseong’s head. Angela, who sees this, can’t hold it in anymore and screams.
“Gabriel!”
There was a distinct nervousness in her voice.
“Now is not the time! The Celestial Council is waiting for a savior!”
Angela pretended to look stern, but her gaze was fixed on Hyunseong’s hair that Gabriel had touched.
“Okay, okay. Angela, don’t be so hard on me.”
Gabriel smiled and patted Angela’s shoulder.
“Okay, baby. Shall we go to the Celestial Council now?”
She took Hyunseong’s hand and headed towards the entrance of the council building. Angela followed behind, still glaring at Gabriel’s back with a discontented expression.
Hyunseong walked awkwardly between the two angels. Gabriel’s warm embrace and Angela’s jealous gaze were still lingering in his mind.
As he entered the council building through the magnificent golden gate, Hyunseong was once again overwhelmed by the enormous number of angels that filled the hallway. They were all dressed in dazzling white, and each had wings of a different shape spread out, and they were squawking. Their eyes were all turned to Hyunseong, and a low murmur came like a wave. A strange tension and excitement mixed in the air.
“All those angels you see over there are members of the Celestial Council.”
Gabriel quietly explained into Hyunseong’s ear.
“This is where angels representing each region and field gather to decide on important issues in heaven.”
She pointed to a massive door at the end of the hallway. It was adorned with gold and white jade, and in its center was a huge sculpture of an angel.
“Behind that door, Michael is trying to convince the council members to give him more time for his baby…”
Gabriel said with a worried expression.
“But… the situation is not good. Even though Michael is the first angel and the strongest force in the heavens… he could only stop the angels’ desire for a savior for a few days.”
Her voice became heavy and sank.
“In particular… it was not good that one of the four archangels opposed Michael. The other angels followed suit and rebelled against Michael.”
“Did I…come here for nothing…?”
Gabriel held his hand tightly and spoke softly in his small voice.
“No, baby. The baby did nothing wrong. In fact, the baby brought hope to our angels. The baby is… our savior.”
She smiled warmly, as if encouraging Hyunseong.
“Don’t worry, baby. I’ll protect you.”
She walked towards the council doors without letting go of Hyunseong’s hand. Angela followed behind them.
“What kind of disgrace is this!”
As soon as the doors to the council opened, Michael’s angry voice burst out. His eyes were glowing red like burning flames, and the ‘Sword of Fire’ in his hand glowed menacingly.
“How many times has the Savior said that He needs time to adjust! Your greed and selfishness are disrupting the order of heaven!”
Despite his shouts, the council was filled with commotion. Hundreds of angels were shouting their opinions, some even openly contradicting Michael’s words.
“But Michael! We just want to see our Savior!”
“It is such a great honor for us to personally welcome the Savior of prophecy!”
“You must personally confirm the existence of the Savior and receive His blessings!”
Hyunseong shrugged his shoulders as he listened to their cries. He felt guilty that the heavens were in such chaos because of him.
But at the same time, I was embarrassed to find myself feeling a strange pleasure in their fervent worship and longing.
