Honestly, I didn’t expect this kind of reaction.

I mean, considering the person’s personality I’ve seen so far, I thought they would get angry.

After all, they’ve never shown a positive side to me before.

So, I was about to say something, but-

I couldn’t find the words right now.

No matter who I am, treating someone who has lost their lower body is not an easy task.

“Well, I guess I’ll just keep it simple.”

I responded by simply nodding my head.

As if I knew what you meant.

This way, we can just move on.

So, I nodded and sat deep inside the carriage.

It’s a bit awkward to say anything more here.

    *

“Hyung, are you just going to let it go like that?”

    “What do you mean, that?”

“Even though that wizard helped you with healing, he didn’t immediately help us, did he?”

It was certainly a valid point.

If that wizard had helped, things would have been resolved quickly without me getting injured like this.

    But-

“The important fact is that he helped. Most wizards feel reluctant to use healing spells on adventurers, but he helped me without hesitation.”

    “…That’s true.”

The important fact is that the wizard helped me.

Sure, we had a disagreement yesterday, but that wasn’t really important.

I lost, and I wasn’t petty enough to hold personal grudges over that.

And the most important thing is-

“He’s strong. I have to admit that.”

The fact that the wizard is strong.

    *

I’m not sure how it happened.

I was sitting deep inside the carriage, looking at the scenery.

There wasn’t much to enjoy in this medieval era.

At best, there was card playing, which I didn’t enjoy and wasn’t suitable for playing in a carriage.

So, I was looking at the scenery.

I was lucky to have edited the post right away, because if I hadn’t, everyone would have known I was going to the Kurotoom.

Thinking about it gave me a chilling feeling.

“I shouldn’t get too immersed in the scenery.”

I always try to keep in mind not to get too immersed in the scenery, but sometimes I find myself getting carried away without realizing it.

Sometimes I even say unnecessary things to get recommendations.

So, in the future, I thought it would be better to think a little more before indulging in the scenery.

With that thought in mind, I checked the comments on the post I had written earlier.

    [Title: Morning Today…jpg]

[Content: (Photo) Started the morning with some jerky, really tasty… The texture is a bit JOAT though]

    L: Jerky is tasty..?

N: Damn, what happened to your taste buds?

N: Seriously, what happened to your taste buds?

L: ?? First time seeing someone say jerky is tasty

L: Must be eating some really expensive jerky

N: Nah, looking at it, it’s not expensive jerky

N: Expensive jerky has a different texture

L: What’s wrong with this guy..

L Perus: Every time I see it, I feel like you have a great palate.

N Perus: I eat jerky often too, but I don’t say it’s tasty.

The jerky in this world was a bit different from the jerky in the original world.

It seemed more like a food made to extend the preservation period rather than focusing on taste.

So, there were rumors going around that no one expected it to taste good, but I couldn’t agree with that.

Even though my taste isn’t sophisticated, it was really edible.

After all, it was made for people to eat.

But the fact that even adventurer veterans didn’t like the taste was a bit disappointing.

Feeling a bit let down, I checked the next post.

[Title: Troll Enters the Chat on the Road lololol]

[Content: (Photo) What are they? LOL]

L: Why are you taking a picture when the trolls are coming? LOL

    ㄴ: True

    L: They’re just crazy LOL

ㄴ: Their heads are spinning www

ㄴ: If this isn’t madness, I don’t know what is

L Kutulu: Once you chop off the trolls’ heads, they can’t move a muscle.

ㄴ: Most monsters are like that, you idiot

ㄴ Kutulu: Well, you might not know

    ㄴ: Ugh

Most monsters die when their heads are cut off.

    The trolls were no exception.

But because the monsters knew this fact, the skin around their necks was very tough.

It wasn’t easy to cut through.

That’s why it was common to aim for the heart.

Of course, when I aimed for the troll earlier, I remembered that hearts were expensive, so I aimed for the stomach instead.

    “Sigh…”

The reason why the adventurers outside weren’t coming in was simple.

They were probably collecting monster loot.

Especially the troll’s blood and heart.

Normally, it was right to do this together, but it felt a bit off to come in all pumped up and then go out again to help.

    I was also feeling tired.

With that thought in mind, I leaned my head against the wall and closed my eyes for a moment.

Of course, I always had a barrier up just in case.

    Tak tak tak-

As I slowly opened my eyes, I saw that the others around me were leaning on each other’s shoulders and sleeping.

They must have finished dismantling the troll and collecting the loot before setting off.

I don’t know how much time had passed.

But I was feeling a bit hungry, so I took out some jerky from my pocket and chewed on it.

    “It tastes good.”

The texture wasn’t exactly my style, but the taste was there.

    Meat was meat after all.

Chewing on the jerky, I watched the scenery outside.

The horses weren’t running fast, so I could see the surroundings without using magic.

And so, we traveled for another three days.

“Yujin, could you please give me some water?”

    [Water Cannon]

I immediately activated the spell and sprayed water for him.

    “Thank you, sir.”

“It’s not sir, it’s just me.”

I don’t really know why we started talking like this.

We were just riding in the carriage as usual when a muscular man approached me and started acting friendly.

    I didn’t keep responding, but-

“Oh, come on, just take a bite.”

The muscular man continued to act friendly towards me.

Considering my personality, I couldn’t just ignore it, so I told him my name.

And then he offered me a water skin and helped me out.

    I was a bit suspicious.

Even though I had healed him, it wasn’t like all the bad feelings disappeared instantly.

After observing the muscular man closely for a day, I could see why he was leading this group.

    Overwhelming strength.

That was what was leading the group.

So when I had bowed my head in defeat to his strength last time, he had been humble and respectful.

“…It’s not a bad thing to use someone.”

I didn’t sense any malice from him.

From what I had observed, he seemed to treat me this way simply because I was strong.

It was hard for me to understand, but the muscular man-

No, “Fel” must live like that.

Thinking that, I showed him some small kindnesses here and there.

There was no need to make an enemy out of him.

And so, we headed to Kurotom with this ambiguous relationship.

    *

“Well then, I’ll take my leave now.”

    “Ah, yes.”

It seemed better to part ways quickly, so I just greeted briefly and got off the carriage, heading straight to the adventurer’s guild.

Well, if I have a chance to meet Fel’s group later, I’ll meet them.

With that thought in mind, I asked for directions along the way and arrived at the adventurer’s guild.

    Creak-

The sound of the door opening was the same here too.

    The adventurer’s guild, huh.

Ignoring the unnecessary thoughts, I approached the receptionist.

    And cautiously spoke up.

“Um, I came because I heard you put in a request with Baruk… Where can I hear the details of the request?”

The receptionist, with a slightly grayish head, looked at me and spoke.

“Well, I’ll contact you… Please come back here tomorrow morning. The person who made the request will meet you at the adventurer’s guild in the morning.”

    “Oh, okay.”

With that promise made, I left the adventurer’s guild and looked around the surroundings.

There were a lot of adventurers armed in various places on the street.

    It felt somewhat desolate.

With that thought in mind, I handed a silver coin to a child on the street and asked a question.

“By any chance, do you know where the inn is where adventurers frequent the most around here?”

The reason for looking for the inn where adventurers frequent the most was simple.

Even if adventurers swindle ordinary people, they don’t rob fellow adventurers within the city.

It could be considered a strategic question on my part.

And so, as I handed the child some money and asked-

    “Yes!”

The child cheerfully answered and began to guide me along the way.
