The carriage to Kurothom was noisier than I had expected.
There were a total of eight people on board, and it seemed like many of them knew each other.
Of course, I didn’t know anyone, so I sat quietly, reading the materials Esilly had handed me.
The materials Esilly gave me didn’t contain any particularly important information.
Well, I had expected that.
Esilly may be doing this and that, but she wasn’t entrusted with any important duties.
I don’t know the detailed situation in Kurothom.
Still, I was able to gather some general information about Kurothom.
“..It seems like a slightly dangerous place.”
To put it nicely, it was a place with romance, but to put it bluntly, it was a place that strictly operated on the logic of power.
Of course, there was a lord there, but he didn’t pay much attention to it.
Since there were so many demons coming out.
As I was reading the materials and thinking about that, the men next to me who had been making noise started talking to me.
I must have looked strange sitting quietly and reading the materials.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
But the first words were quite rude.
It felt like he was looking down on me.
But there was no need to fight.
It could just be his way of speaking.
Retaliation could come later if he crossed the line.
With that in mind, I replied, “Oh, I’m on my way to Kurothom for a commission.”
“But why are you holding some strange paper?”
“I don’t know much about Kurothom, so I thought I should do some research before going.”
“You’re wasting your time. Kurothom is a place where you experience things with your body.”
“I’ll take care of that.”
I’m the type to research anything a little before starting, so I didn’t need to keep listening to such words.
I didn’t want to fight, but he kept making a fuss, so it bothered me.
“What did you just say?”
“Oh, please be quiet. I have things to do too.”
I wasn’t one to easily provoke others, but I wasn’t so kind as to be taken advantage of by someone who suddenly picked a fight.
Of course, if it was too much trouble, I wouldn’t do it.. But right now, annoyance outweighed laziness.
I needed to gather as much information as possible before going, and being disturbed was annoying.
“Hey, driver. Stop for a moment.”
“We need to keep going according to the schedule.”
“Stop, I said. Don’t annoy me.”
“..Understood.”
There was nothing the driver could do.
He wasn’t that strong.
With that in mind, I asked, “Why did the carriage suddenly stop? We’re on a tight schedule.”
“Get up and fight. Let’s have a match.”
I looked around at the sudden situation.
The people around us were smiling, waiting for us to fight.
So I sighed.
Why are there always people like this?
I didn’t want to have prejudices against adventurers, but I was a little annoyed.
“Ugh, let’s just get this over with.”
“As you wish.”
It might seem strange to suddenly start fighting, but in the medieval times, adventurers would fight on the spot if they got into an argument while traveling.
But I really hated this culture.
I don’t understand why they fight like this.
It would be nice if we all got along.
With that in mind, I pondered on how to deal with the muscular adventurer in front of me.
Honestly, I could kill the opponent in front of me with just one hand.
But the problem was how to kill them.
“Hmm…”
Judging by the muscles, he seemed like an adventurer who primarily used strength, so I just needed to make him feel the difference in strength.
I usually didn’t like doing such childish things, but it was better to subdue these people early on.
If you don’t, you’ll probably continue to do this to other people in the future.
So I spoke to the muscular man standing in front of me.
“Hurry up. I’m in a hurry too.”
“Hmph, talking big, huh?”
With those words, the muscular man backed off, then quickly approached me and swung his fist.
[Acceleration]
[Strength]
[Mana Shield]
After activating three magic spells simultaneously, I infused mana.
The accelerated thinking allowed me to read the enemy’s fist trajectory, and the strengthened fist clashed with the opponent’s fist.
And shortly after.
“Well then, I’ll make it a bit easier for you.”
I knocked the muscular man to the ground, and I could sit in the deepest spot where the muscular man had been sitting.
I didn’t intentionally sit in the spot where the man was sitting because it looked comfortable.
Really.
Clatter clatter clatter-
The carriage continued on its way until it stopped when night fell.
It was dangerous to wander around at night.
By that time, the unconscious muscular man also woke up.
He looked at me and seemed to lose his confidence, quietly taking a seat in the corner.
It seemed like he was quite shocked by what had happened to him.
“Ah…”
Come to think of it, I was starting to feel sleepy.
So it seemed best to sleep.
It was my first time sleeping rough outside as an adventurer.
So it seemed better to take some safety precautions before sleeping.
I cast an alarm spell and set up a barrier before lying down.
As I drifted off to sleep.
“Um, we need to decide on the watch order… Would you like to draw lots to decide…?”
The man who looked the weakest approached me and asked.
It seemed like everyone else knew each other except me.
So it seemed like the weakest person was approaching me and asking.
It didn’t sit well with me to play up weakness.
It reminded me of my past, which irritated me even more.
“Why should I decide on the watch order? I’ll be fine, so don’t bother me.”
There’s an alarm spell in place, so if anyone tries to touch me or if we’re attacked from elsewhere, I’ll wake up immediately.
Even if we’re attacked from a distance, the barrier will protect me.
And if the barrier is breached, I have the necklace Sylvia gave me.
With those thoughts in mind, I closed my eyes.
*
Chirp chirp-
As I opened my eyes, I heard bustling sounds around me.
It seemed like everyone was getting ready to leave.
So I got up too.
[Purify]
I used a purification spell to clean myself and checked what the people around me were doing.
Sizzle-
The people nearby were grilling meat, probably brought from nearby animals.
Eating meat for breakfast.
But I wasn’t particularly envious.
I had jerky in my pocket.
Food was just to fill my stomach, so I didn’t need to spend a lot of money on it.
Of course, I would eat if it was available.
With that thought, I took out the jerky from my pocket and chewed on it.
Even though it wasn’t particularly satisfying texture-wise, it tasted good, so it didn’t matter.
I don’t understand why other people dislike this delicious food.
It’s rich in calories and fills the stomach.
With that thought, I posted a message on the gallery.
When I had nothing else to do, posting on the gallery was the best.
It made time pass quickly.

[Content: (Photo) Started the morning with jerky, really tasty… The texture is a bit tough though.]
After posting the message and chewing on jerky, I looked at the picturesque surroundings.
It felt like something was clearing up.
There was a feeling of improving mood.
With that thought, I enhanced my vision.
[Enhanced Vision]
Because I wanted to see far.
In the vast grassland, it almost felt like a waste to only focus on the nearby surroundings.
But then, at that moment.
“…Hmm?”
Something appeared in my field of vision that shouldn’t have been there.
That’s right, I saw a troll leaping towards this place.
So, I immediately focused my gaze and took a picture.
It could be considered a tip for using the gallery, that magicians or people with good eyesight could enhance their vision to the point where they could focus on distant objects and take pictures to upload to the gallery.
“I should upload this.”
It seemed right to upload this to the gallery.
Therefore, I promptly uploaded it to the gallery.

[Title: Going to Kurotom now, troll invasion lololol]
[Content: (Photo) What are these guys? lol]
There were two trolls, but they were incredibly fast.
They seemed different from ordinary trolls.
So, I focused and took a closer look-
“Oh, they’re mutants.”
Once again, they were mutant trolls.
But there was no need for me to intervene.
With adventurers around, there was no need for me to take the lead.
So, I decided to watch from the sidelines.
I wondered how the others would fight.
