Chapter Index

““Make us regret appearing before you!””

The face of the rushing knight was flushed red with anger. Normally, anger would bring out great strength momentarily, but when exhausted, it only disrupted his posture.

“It seems like you’re really upset because you were ignored by the orcs. ”

It wasn’t that hard to avoid the guy’s attacks. It was my first time fighting for my life, but my improved physical abilities made it easy to dodge swords swung in a tired state.

    Wheeek―!

A sword that cut through the air. But I couldn’t let my guard down. There were two enemies, and another one was coming to stab me in the side.

    “Die!”

No matter how close you are to being a warrior, as a priest those words are a bit harsh.

The guy’s thrusts were neither sharp nor precise. They were just angry thrusts. I dodged the attack lightly and punched the guy in the chest.

    “Wow···!”

The guy who was about to stab was lifted into the air and pushed back, and fell down. Although he was wearing heavy armor, it was crushed, so it was difficult to expect any real defense.

    “Still, it’s kind of hard.”

    “This···interest···!”

As I pretended to be in pain and lightly shook my hand, the remaining guy screamed in hatred and swung his sword wildly.

    Wheezing— Wheezing—!

The guy swung his sword with all his might, but all he could do was make a sound like it was cutting through the air. It was practically like an elementary school student swinging his sword in a fit of rage.

That level might be a threat to an ordinary person, but it was nothing compared to the physical abilities of an orc enhanced by an artifact.

“Do it well. Otherwise, you won’t be able to even cut your fingernails.”

“If only I had mana left···! You bastard···!”

The guy’s words were not a bluff, but the truth. Even if he was a weak paladin, if he was in perfect condition, I would have lost. But even so, right now, he was just an ordinary human struggling against an orc.

“If you feel so sorry, you could have made a potion for me somewhere.”

    “This is profit···!!”

The guy swung his sword with a roar of rage, which made him move a little faster, but made his posture even more of a mess.

“Thanks to you, I was able to do some testing.”

He gripped the hammer tightly and swung it vigorously. A more murderous sound than when he swung his sword echoed around the area.

The result was instantaneous. The guy’s sword and his hammer clashed, and the difference in strength and weapon caused the guy’s hands to snap and he screamed in pain.

    “Kuaaah··· !!”

The guy’s black sword circled the air a few times before crashing to the ground. With his weapon gone, victory was all but certain.

    “Do you want to surrender?”

When I spoke as if I was deliberately trying to get him to take medicine, he couldn’t hold back his anger and rushed at me. If only he had picked up his weapon again, but there was nothing in his hands.

“I see why you’re so weak even though you’re a paladin.”

It was nothing short of crazy for a human with no mana to rush at an orc with his bare body. It was like a child who was not yet fully grown fighting an adult.

But the guy who ran at me swung his fist at me in anger.

    “Eww!”

    puck-

A relatively dull sound echoed throughout the dungeon.

There was no need to block his attacks with heavy armor or a mace.

Just by opening his hand and making a fist, the guy’s face was distorted.

    “Eeee···! Interest rate··· !!”

“Oh my… I guess the knights are attacking the eardrums?”

The guy tried to pull his caught hand back, but the more he tried, the more his body shook comically.

“Thanks to you, I gained one bit of knowledge.”

Even the most trained human was weaker than an orc when he had no mana.

If it were an ordinary orc, there would have been room to fight back and forth or use skills, but there was an overwhelming difference compared to my power enhanced by the artifact.

“If only I had mana··· If only I had mana···!!”

“That damn mana talk… If you want it so bad, I’ll give you one. I was planning on giving it to you anyway.”

I released his captured hand and handed him the potion I had on my waist.

The guy looked at me with a suspicious look for a moment at the sudden situation, but eventually quickly snatched it away.

“What··· I don’t know what your intentions are, but I’ll make you regret it!”

The guy drank the potion whole. He had no choice anyway.

There was no way he could beat me without mana.

“Okay, pick up the weapon that flew over there too.”

“Haha! How stupid! It looks like there was poison in the potion, but I’m a knight, so that’s about it···”

As soon as he recovered his mana, the guy showed his confidence.

If he had known the honor of a warrior, he would have at least expressed his gratitude, but his face said that he would kill me quickly and seize the joy of victory.

“You didn’t get on, so hurry up and pick up your weapon. Now the church that has you is going to be pitiful.”

“Let’s see how long you can keep talking like that!”

As soon as the guy picked up his weapon, he ran straight at me.

Although his body was still physically tired, he was using mana to strengthen his body, so he was much more agile and stronger than before.

Moreover, perhaps because I regained my confidence, my posture also improved.

    “It’s definitely tough.”

“It’s too late to regret it now! I’ll cut off your neck right now.”

I felt really sorry for the religious order that had such a person as a priest. No matter how much he trained as a warrior, his personality was far from that of a priest.

I thought that a compassionate religious person would show some mercy to an orc who can speak.

Of course, since there was a beauty, I would have attacked her anyway.

“This is just right for getting a feel for the real thing.”

“Nonsense! My sword will soon tear you apart, so beg for mercy from Hedon!”

As the guy said, it was an overwhelming disadvantage. The heavy armor he was wearing was slowly getting scarred with the sound of iron clashing. Not only that, but the wounds were also increasing in places that he had not been able to cover up.

Still, it was clear to me how strong trained humans were and why orcs were treated as trash.

“I guess I should stop now.”

    “Whoever wants to do it!”

In that moment, the guy swung his sword sharply from above and swung it down. It was impossible to dodge, but it was barely possible to block it.

    Push!

    “Haha! It’s my victory!”

Blood flowed out as the guy’s sword cut deep into his heavy armor and arm. This was easily overcome with his enhanced resilience, but it was no longer possible to defeat him.

    “It’s still too much.”

The cheap heavy armor that the monster had picked up had a limit to dealing with the knight’s sword. Not only that, but the physical abilities of the one receiving the help of mana were also superior.

    “Please, Ahmet.”

As soon as I spoke, the wind blew past my cheek.

    bang-!

The last thing we see of the guy is a blank expression on his face, being kicked in the chest.

    “I survived thanks to you.”

Ahmet, who had defeated the guy with one kick, looked at me as if this was nothing.

“Why did you use a potion on this guy?”

“Even though Ahmet is here, I think I need some practical experience. I thought it would be safe training since he was watching over me.”

As I approached the guy pinned to the wall, I heard a sound that sounded like he was almost dying.

    “Bam··· This··· This··· Keuuuk··· ”

The eyes of the guy who realized that he had been playing with his hands from beginning to end were filled with resentment.

But I was feeling such intense pain that I couldn’t express it in words.

“You idiot… Do you think I gave you the potion because I like you? ”

I grab the guy’s body with one hand. He looks at me with startled eyes, as if he sensed something ominous, but that doesn’t lessen the pain.

    “Sleep well.”

I grabbed the guy’s body and slammed his crumpled armor with all my might.

    “Bam―! ”

The guy writhed and wiggled like a bug, then rolled his eyes and passed out.

    “Okay, then now···”

    “What···?”

Well, I guess this is what they mean by worst timing.

After knocking the guy out and looking back, I saw a beautiful woman dressed in white slowly standing up with a surprised expression on her face.

“Don’t get me wrong, this was self-defense.”

That’s not wrong. In fact, it was an attack on my part.

But in this world, there was no such thing as orc rights.

    “··· Orc speaks···?”

It’s the second time today. Just as I was muttering such complaints, she stood up proudly and revealed who she was.

“I don’t know the circumstances, but I hope the violence will stop. If they did something wrong, I will take the punishment in their stead. I swear by my honor as a saint, even though I am lacking.”

Unlike the guys who had rushed in before, her judgment was quick and accurate.

Her party was effectively defeated, so they had no choice but to try to talk to the orcs.

But more importantly, she was a saint.

    Saint Angela.

I couldn’t figure out why she was there, but I knew this was an opportunity I couldn’t miss.

“Let’s talk for a moment while I treat your colleagues separately.”
