Chapter Index

    “What’s going on.”

Men poured down the stairs from the second floor.

Some were rolling up their sleeves, their bodies covered in tattoos.

Before dealing with them, Jexa thought about lighting a cigarette.

But she remembered the taste of the one she had just smoked and took a deep breath.

It wasn’t Anna who stepped forward first.

She brandished a dagger stained with black blood.

“If you can’t fight, get lost.”

“Don’t cut their throats like before.”

The silver-haired killer left those words behind and rushed in without hesitation.

The men immediately took a combat stance.

However, before they could raise their arms, the killer was already in their faces.

A startled man swung his fist.

Anna dodged the attack by lowering her head and then stabbed his side.

The rough stab made crimson blood gush from his belly.

As comrades fell on the narrow stairs, the thugs were too busy colliding with each other.

Seemingly aiming for that, Anna systematically dealt with them.

Using the man with a torn side as a shield, she swiftly pierced the next one’s throat.

The thugs staggered back at her merciless skills.

They had never seen such brutality before in their lives.

But they weren’t just taking hits passively.

From above, a man who seemed to be their leader shouted loudly.

    “Lord Weicheongsan made a promise!”

Startled by his shout, the thugs immediately stopped their actions.

“He promised ownership rights to those who capture these women alive for training!”

As his words ended, the expressions of the thugs changed from grim to delighted at the mere thought.

Their gloomy faces soon turned ecstatic, like beasts reveling in pleasure.

Jexa laughed as if amused by his words.

Who would they train and own?

A sound of teeth grinding came from the killer with silver hair.

Soon, her pupils became hazy, devoid of any emotion.

Anna picked up a dagger dropped by a thug.

Then, wielding the blade with both hands, she charged at them like a madwoman.

    Like a butcher meeting flesh.

    Jexa watched the chaos intently.

She had no interest in dagger or martial arts like Anna.

However, she was also a killer.

Observing the target, Jexa stared at the stairs where Anna and the thugs clashed.

Anna sensed life from her glance.

The cautious killer, noticing something, momentarily stepped back from the stairs.

Empowered by her retreat, the thugs gained confidence.

Thinking their attacks were effective, they immediately lunged at Anna.

The first to capture her would gain ownership of Anna.

Even though death was a possibility, they rushed towards Anna, seemingly enchanted by her ambivalent expression.

    “—.”

Jexa slowly raised her left hand.

She leisurely covered the thugs’ figures with her palm.

Soon, as she gestured, a giant hand shot up from the ground.

“Grade 3 monster, Giant’s Left Hand.”

Like crushing insects, the dead giant’s hand struck them.

In an instant, dozens of lower-ranked hunters were crushed to the ground.

Amid the scattered debris, red blood flowed profusely.

Watching the scene from the second floor, the leader’s face paled.

He stumbled back and eventually fell.

Anna stepped over the rubble and swiftly ascended to the second floor.

She coldly looked down at the panicked leader.

“Sorry… Was it too harsh to mention ownership rights?”

    He stammered apologetically.

Anna merely smiled at his reaction.

She knelt slowly, facing a Chinese man.

    “Where is Weicheongsan?”

    “He… He’s on the 5… 5th floor.”

    Trembling, the leader replied.

Satisfied with his respectful answer, Anna nodded.

Seeing her nod, the leader breathed a sigh of relief.

But that was his last breath.

The moment he exhaled, Anna cheerfully slit his throat.

    Once, twice, thrice.

With a cheerful crack, his neck cleanly split open.

“Is it all taken care of?”

Jexa asked from the first floor.

    “Yes.”

Anna wipes the blood off her face, looking down at Juksa standing on the giant’s palm.

“Then lift me up a bit too,” Juksa says, shrunk small like a dwarf due to altitude sickness.

“What…?” Anna asks again, taken aback.

She is surprised by Juksa’s request to be lifted up like a child, considering she had summoned a massive hand just moments ago.

“I can’t jump as high as you do,” Juksa says confidently, arms crossed.

“Just use that fancy hand of yours,” Anna suggests.

    “It’s a one-time-use skill,” Juksa replies.

The killer within Juksa extends both hands towards Anna.

After a deep sigh, Anna lands back on the first floor.

She reluctantly offers her back for Juksa to lean on.

Juksa lightly rests against Anna’s back, smiling. “Don’t get the wrong idea. It’s just this time since our goals align.”

Bai-an’s killer calmly bends his knees and swiftly ascends to the second floor.

Juksa descends from Anna as if receiving expected treatment and leisurely turns her knees. “You’re heavy; you should exercise.”

Anna mutters in a nonchalant tone, “I have a high position, you know. I don’t have time to exercise these days.”

    Juksa shrugs indifferently.

Seemingly displeased with her attitude, Anna interrupts with information obtained from the captain. “He’s on the fifth floor.”

“I know. That’s the guest room, so naturally he’d be there,” Juksa remarks, climbing the stairs ahead without bothering to ask further.

Anna bites her lip, annoyed by her clinking demeanor, and silently follows her up the stairs.

Soon, they arrive at the fifth floor.

A luxurious corridor stretches wide, leading to the guest room at the end.

The door to the guest room stands open as if anticipating guests.

Wicheongsan sits on a lavish sofa, legs crossed, welcoming the two killers as if they were his daughters.

“Come on in,” Wicheongsan greets them in a gentle voice, appearing relaxed despite his subordinates being recently killed.

“Those guys, we can gather them in five minutes in Chinatown. Twice that number is already on their way here,” he boasts.

Indeed, it seems to be Chinatown.

The pests to be exterminated are quite plentiful.

    The chubby man claps lightly.

Two men rise from behind the sofa.

As if there was a corner of trust, he introduces the two men to Juksa.

    Rank: 88th.

Occupation: Mercenary Hunter. Master of Yeongchun Fist.

    Rank: 90th.

Occupation: Mercenary Hunter. Master of Taeguk Sword.

“These are my bodyguards from China. All rankers. Can you defeat these rankers, even if you’re strong, you’re just women. No need to work hard as hunters,” he says proudly, patting the men’s shoulders.

Juksa and Anna remain silent, showing no reaction to Wicheongsan’s words.

“If you surrender now, I’ll make you part of my harem. You both have pretty faces and sexy bodies. No need to work as tough hunters,” the man says, eyeing Anna and Juksa suggestively.

He then looks at their chests and hips alternately.

“Especially the one with red eyes has a beautiful body, suitable for Chifao, and the one with white eyes would be good for Muhi-bok…”

    He speaks arrogantly, offering mercy.

Fed up, Anna hurls one of her daggers at him, aiming for his neck.

The dagger that has claimed dozens of lives swoops towards the chubby Chinese man’s throat.

Hosan, a master of swordsmanship, blocks the blade with his scabbard.

“Like that kid earlier… Kids these days have filthy tempers,” Wicheongsan exhales smoke through his broad nostrils.

He casually brushes off the bloodied blade onto the table.

“Is Shiho okay?” Juksa inquires about “that kid.”

Realizing that their target is the girl he brought, Wicheongsan’s lips curl into a smile.

Saliva drips from his yellowed fangs.

“Ah, our Miho Mihomare? Of course,” he confirms.

    “Miho…?”

His disgusting words contorted Jexa’s face.

Did you even change your name in the meantime?

“Perhaps by now, I’m getting all dolled up to be accepted.”

He casually gestured to the hunters.

Soon the bodyguards each entered a combat stance.

“So, you guys should head to the training room quickly.”

Responding to this, the Rankers rushed towards the two killers.

The master of Yeongchun Fist, Lim San, took charge of Anna.

With tremendous speed, he delivered a punch.

Anna was mercilessly struck by the soaring fist as if being shot by a bullet.

From her face to her chest and side.

Before she could swing her dagger, he relentlessly attacked with overwhelming speed.

    Jexa silently observed his actions.

However, soon she couldn’t help but divert her gaze from Anna.

It was because Hosan’s Swift Sword had surged towards her.

Encountering swordsmanship like never before, Jexa hastily stepped back.

She struggled to evade Hosan’s relentless strikes.

Finding an opportunity, the Ranker taunted her.

“What, did you wander into Chinatown with that ordinary body of yours?”

As if assessing his opponent’s level, he aimed for Jexa’s neck with his long sword.

The blade plunged into Jexa’s unguarded neck.

“Hey! You’re supposed to treat it as a game, what will we do if you kill her!”

    Weichengsan exclaimed regretfully.

However, his regret soon turned into terror.

    “…”

Despite the sword piercing his neck, Jexa’s expression remained unchanged.

She even calmly remarked, “You should have aimed for a fatal blow.”

Hosan’s face twisted in astonishment at the unprecedented situation.

It would have been a fatal strike for an ordinary woman.

However, instead of cutting Jexa’s throat, the sword embedded itself in her tough flesh.

Even her flesh writhed, beginning to absorb the blade.

Soon, the Ranker’s sword became one with Jexa’s flesh, like a blade stuck in wood.

No matter how much he exerted force and twisted, there was no response.

“You are indeed weaker than Anna, aren’t you?”

In a flustered state, Hosan swung his fist.

A top 100 ranked inspector struggling, resorting to fists instead of a sword.

Jexa did not dodge the punch.

There was no point in avoiding it since it was so weak.

His hand dug into Jexa’s face.

But soon he felt a strange sensation between his fingers.

Like hitting clay rather than a face.

    “It hurts.”

Hosan’s fist peeled off Jexa’s skin, revealing the same face once again.

Witnessing this grotesque sight, the Ranker soon realized.

The woman he faced was definitely not ‘ordinary.’

She was more eerie and sinister than anyone else—a hunter.

    “—!”

The moment he realized this fact, a black hole appeared on his forehead.

Amidst Hosan’s confusion, Jexa held a gun in her hand.

The Ranker fell with a single gunshot.

Jexa effortlessly dealt with the situation, casually inspecting the gun.

Lim San watched in a daze.

“Well, who doesn’t have a gun these days?”

Jexa shrugged at the Chinese man’s gaze.

Left alone, Lim San was troubled.

He needed to quickly kill Anna in front of him and subdue Jexa.

There was no time to give the opponent with a gun a chance to aim.

    Lim San swiftly punched Anna.

Due to his hastened mind, his attacks gradually weakened.

    Anna endured all his strikes.

    And…

Without a hint of hesitation, she thrust the knife into the Ranker’s body.

    Throat.

    Throat.

    Throat.

She needlessly pierced nowhere else but the throat repeatedly.

    “…”

The master of Yeongchun Fist couldn’t say a word as his throat was torn apart.

He simply collapsed towards Anna lifelessly.

She pushed the limp and unpleasant corpse to the ground.

    “—.”

The situation came to an end.

The two killers looked up at the instigator of this incident.

The chubby man, unable to escape, trembled on the sofa.

In front of him were not loyal hunters, but two fierce beasts remaining.

“Oh… Don’t come closer. If you kill me, all the people in Chunggyeong Village will turn against you!”

He shrunk back at the approaching shadows.

Just like when Siho was kidnapped.

    “Is that so?”

The enemy picked up the poem lying on the golden table.

Being a Korean who traded with Cuba in a country where trade had been cut off, the enemy seemed satisfied as he put the poem into his mouth.

“Well, what do you think? You’ve turned the largest organization in Korea against you.”

The woman mutters as she sets fire to the poem.

    “The largest organization in Korea…?”

Choking on the acrid smoke, Wicheongsan coughed.

Soon, he realizes who the person he touched was.

“No way… Are you a high-ranking member of Ilsim?”

The enemy did not respond to his words.

Because he was not worth the trouble.

As if in response to her silence, footsteps could be heard from the stairs.

The men in black suits entered the 5th floor.

Their leader, Sangmun, had blood on his face as if he had been fighting.

“I’m sorry, Miss. We’re late because we had to take care of something on the way.”
