Chapter Index

After wiping the blood off Shine and my body, Amy returned to her room after receiving various vitamins from Lavigne.

The vitamins packed in the pure white envelope all had a sweet and sour taste.

Shine and I licked our tongues and took a sip of the vitamins Amy had handed us.

“Shine. Are you sleeping well at night?”

Shine nodded at Amy’s worried words.

My eyebrows flinch at the sour taste of vitamins that fills my mouth.

“Are you writing a letter here?”

Shine spoke, pointing to the letter paper.

The set of stationery Amy brought had a very pretty design.

A background that brings to mind a soft night sky.

A blurry view of falling snow behind.

Even the small words “Merry Christmas” written at the very bottom.

Only then did I realize that Christmas was just around the corner.

“Yeah. Write down the gifts you want to receive on Christmas.”

“Then Santa gives you a present?”

    “Okay.”

At Amy’s answer, Shine’s pen began to move.

As I watched her diligently writing something down, I too moved my pen.

I think a magic wand would be the best.

“Can I just write down the gifts I want to receive?”

    letter.

Something I’ve never written in my life.

So I had no idea how to write it.

    “I should say hello too.”

    difficult.

    I groaned, holding the pen.

    What should I write about?

I glanced around and looked at Shine’s letter.

    Her hands didn’t stop.

The letters written at a rapid pace looked quite pretty.

“What does Shine want to receive?”

    “Here.”

In response to my question, Shine held out her letterhead.

A long list of words that filled her stationery.

The sheer number of gifts left my mouth open.

    “All of this?”

    “Yeah.”

“Isn’t it true that you can only receive one gift?”

    “Is that so?”

Shine put down the letter and fell into thought.

Amy looked at us like that and smiled.

“Then I’ll have to write a new one.”

Shine reached out and pulled out a new piece of stationery.

She looked over the very first letter she had written and began to select the gift she really wanted to receive.

As I watched Shine’s appearance, I carefully wrote down my thoughts.

The very first thing I said was hello to Santa.

But I also didn’t forget to emphasize how kind I had been.

I exaggerated everything I had done because I was anxious that I might not receive the gift.

Lastly, I wrote down the gift I wanted to receive.

    Lucy’s magic wand.

The content of the letter was quite satisfactory.

I nodded and folded the letter neatly.

    “Amy I’m done.”

    “Can you show me?”

I hid the letter behind my back.

This is a letter to Santa.

Because it contained a lot of rather embarrassing content, I couldn’t show it to Amy.

The tips of my ears feel hot.

    “Ah… . No.”

    “Why?”

“This is a letter to Santa.”

He carefully touched the letter hidden behind his back.

    I hear a rustling sound.

    “I see.”

    Amy nodded.

I looked at Amy’s face just in case.

I was worried that she might be upset because I didn’t show her the letter.

But Amy was no different than usual.

There was just a small smile on his lips.

“Then should I put it in an envelope and put a sticker on it?”

Amy said, handing over a rather fancy-looking envelope and a shiny sticker.

The gold glitter star stickers looked quite pretty.

    ” and… .”

I took out the letter I had hidden behind my back and carefully put it into the envelope.

After that, I sealed the envelope with the star sticker that Amy had given me.

    “I did it too.”

Shine also seemed to have finished writing the letter, so she neatly folded the letter she was holding in her hand.

She put stickers on envelopes just like I did.

“Okay. Then I’ll send it to Santa?”

“Me too! I want to go too!”

I woke up in a hurry at Amy’s words.

    It’s a letter to Santa.

I wanted to send it myself.

Amy stood up from her seat and looked troubled.

Amy thought for a moment, then took out her phone and tapped the screen several times.

After that, a small smile appears on her face, as if the problem has been solved.

    “Then shall we go together?”

    “Yes!”

    Amy’s permission was granted.

I jumped down from the chair and ran to Baek-shi.

I took my hat off Baek-shi, who had been taking good care of it.

I pulled down my large witch’s hat and headed toward the large full-length mirror.

I carefully inspected the hat to see if there were any strange wrinkles.

    “Sing Amy.”

After confirming that there was nothing wrong with the hat, I ran to Amy who was waiting at the front door.

    Shine was also wearing shoes.

As I left the room, I noticed a small wreath hanging in front of people’s doors.

I was quite envious of the people who were getting into the Christmas spirit.

    “Amy! Let’s walk that too!”

    “Is that so?”

    “Yes!”

“Then I should send the letter and bring what I need on the way back.”

    My eyes sparkled with anticipation.

We were able to cross the hallway and arrive at a staircase with tall columns.

I looked up the stairs with an anxious face.

Do I really have to go up here?

    “Wow.”

But Amy lifted both of us up at once, making our worries seem insignificant.

I climbed the stairs, dangling from Amy’s arm.

Amy, who had been climbing the stairs for a long time, passed the floor with the model park and dropped us off on the next floor.

An unfamiliar place I’m visiting for the first time.

But the structure of the hallway was similar to other places.

When we arrived at the new hallway, there was a large mailbox.

It had a rather heterogeneous appearance.

    “Are you sending it here?”

    “Yeah.”

Amy naturally walked over to the mailbox.

I looked around and observed people’s reactions.

It seemed like everyone around was looking at the mailbox strangely.

“Don’t other people send letters to Santa?”

As I looked around and asked Amy a question, she spoke slowly with a puzzled look on her face.

    “That… That’s it! That’s right! It’s because they’re all adults and can’t receive gifts!”

    “Adults can’t receive gifts?”

    “Yeah!”

I sat down in shock at Amy’s words.

    Adults cannot receive gifts.

If that’s the case, then I can’t receive it either.

    “Jeff?”

At that moment, Shine approached me with a puzzled expression.

    “Shine… . I can’t receive it… .”

As I muttered in a weak voice, Shine reached out her hand to me.

“It’s okay. Jeff can take it.”

    I shook my head.

Santa said he only gives presents to good children.

It was clear to me that I, already an adult, would not be able to receive presents from Santa.

“No Jeff. You can take it.”

    “Really… ?”

I carefully raised my head as I heard Shine’s voice continue to ring.

Shine’s small hand, extended to me, moves.

He picked me up from where I was sitting on the floor and carefully took the letter out of my hand.

    “Jeff can take it.”

Shine speaks, looking into my eyes as if she is sure.

    She continued:

    “Jeff is not an adult.”

    Shine’s voice was so soft.

At that soft voice, I nodded without realizing it.

If you keep listening, it seems like Shine’s words are right.

    “Yeah… .”

Shine turned and walked over to the mailbox.

But Shine, who was short, couldn’t put the letter into the mailbox.

It was the same for me too.

Even though I stretched my short legs with all my might, I couldn’t reach it.

    “Amy!”

As I looked at Amy with eyes that asked for help, she hugged me and Shine again.

    The gaze suddenly rose.

Shine and I were able to place the letter with Amy’s help.

    “Then shall we go back?”

After putting the letter away, we turned around and walked away.

But his gaze did not fall.

I continued to look at the mailbox with a furtive gaze.

What if something goes wrong and the letter disappears?

I stopped in the receding hallway and looked back at the mailbox one last time.

Soon I had to turn the corner and go to a place with stairs.

    Steps that don’t fall.

But at Shine’s urging, who grabbed my hand, I turned around and started walking.

After walking like that for a while, I quickly turned around and ran back to the hallway where the mailbox was.

    “Jeff?”

Shine’s voice is heard from behind.

Amy followed me like that too.

The sound of small footsteps echoed through the hallway.

As I walked down the long hallway and turned the corner, I was shocked and froze in place.

A red mailbox located at the end of the hallway.

The mailbox that was clearly there just a moment ago has disappeared.

    “No!”

    The anxiety became reality.

    The mailbox is gone!

If that’s the case, then the letter that was inside it has also disappeared.

    “Amy!”

    My vision is blurry.

Tears welling up in both eyes.

I bit my lip hard to hold back my tears and called out to Amy urgently.

Amy, who had been following me, stopped when she saw me like that.

    “Jeff? What’s going on?”

    “The mailbox is gone!”

I reached out and pointed to where the mailbox had been.

Amy’s gaze, which had been moving along my hand, turned to the empty hallway.

She approached me with an awkward smile.

“It’s okay, Jeff. I went to see Santa.”

    “To Santa?”

    “Okay. So don’t worry.”

Amy smiled gently and patted my head.

I rubbed my eyes and wiped away the tears.

The sleeves of his clothes became soaking wet.

“Okay. Now I have to go back and decorate my room.”

Amy said and held out her hand.

I nodded and took her hand.

Shine and I held Amy’s hand as we walked down the hallway and down the stairs.

The place we arrived was a large warehouse.

A thick smell of dust rose from among the various junk that filled the warehouse.

Amy went into the warehouse and took out a large box.

A thin layer of dust had accumulated on the box, which was a mixture of red and green.

    “Ta-da!”

Amy dusted off the box and opened it to reveal its contents.

    ” and… .”

Shine and I gaped blankly as we looked inside the box.

It was full of shiny things.

“I’m decorating my room with this.”

I reached out and picked up the large drop.

Ding-ding-ding – a small, cute sound is heard.

Shine also reached out and picked up a large star from the box.

The appearance of the glitter changes depending on the viewing angle.

Shine seemed to like the star, and held the large star in her arms.

When we returned to our room, we started decorating it.

The wreath hanging outside the door was decorated more extravagantly than any other.

It was quite heavy due to the excessive decorations, but I was satisfied.

The excessive lighting that caught people’s eyes made the hallway noisy.
