The Dog of Flanders is one of the most memorable children’s books.

For a children’s book to be read, it starts with the problem of the gap between the rich and the poor, to the prejudice caused by people’s distorted perspectives.

Rather than being a fairy tale, it is a work with a strong social accusatory aspect.

In order to convey the shock I received to readers in another world, I focused on drawing while changing my style.

In particular, it is a sacred painting painted by Rubens that the main character Nero wanted to see for the last time before he died.

I really put all my effort into drawing the highlights of this work.

The brilliant light coming down gently envelops the goddess.

People kneeling and praying under such a goddess.

Lastly, Nero is dying, embracing Patrasche, looking at the huge painting containing those images.

In order to draw a scene that will remain in everyone’s memory, I also have to burn it.

The more beautiful the Rubens painting I create, the more miserable the protagonist and Patrasche will be in contrast to it.

After coming to this world, I started making the works I knew and felt a sense of debt, and I wanted to make up for it through this work.

It’s not a grand goal. It just made it possible for me to pay off my family’s debt and make a living doing what I wanted to do now: creating comic books.

Creating a world where children are happier is what great authors dreamed of when they created children’s books.

I just wanted to contribute a little bit to that.

“And I think this will make people cry in a different way.”

The storyboard for Volume 2 of , which was in progress along with , is almost completed.

I guess I cut off at the right point so people will probably be dying to see what comes next. I was already excited by the anticipation.

When I was young, the only way to read comic books was to rent them at a comic book store.

I remembered that popular comic books were specifically reserved for regular customers before new releases were released.

I can’t believe I can share the experience of being anxious to see the next content as soon as possible with people in another world.

‘But while I was drawing Patrasche, I also tried to draw a dog in Iron Blooded Alchemist, so it feels a bit uncomfortable.’

A quick-witted person would probably feel cold, but it would not have been easy to predict the next scene.

Honestly, I couldn’t even imagine ‘that scene’ while reading this scene.

A few days ago, Kroon started making objects in the shape of human hands by pressing them into the village’s blacksmith shop.
