On the rooftop of the 2nd Giant Monster Tactical Training Center.

“What happened between you and Soyeon earlier?”

I called Yoo Seolhyun to the rooftop of the tactical training center because I had something to say to her during lunchtime.

It was a restricted area, but since the password to the rooftop door had been leaked multiple times in the game, it was a suitable place to have a secret conversation.

Originally, it would have been the place where the female protagonist would have private conversations with the other male protagonists, but oh well.

“You came in with Soyeon during the ceremony.”

I glanced down at the vast Union Academy campus and casually brought up the topic.

    “She seems quieter since then.”

Glancing over, Yoo Seolhyun was leaning against the railing, quietly looking up at the sky without saying a word.

The clear sky with no clouds and the refreshing breeze gently caressed her hair.

Fine golden particles sparkled continuously in her hair reflecting the sun.

Yoo Seolhyun leisurely brushed her flowing hair back like a waterfall and sneakily glanced at my face.

I met her mysterious and alluring eyes as she leaned against the railing.

Just looking at her leaning against the railing made her seem like a model from a famous photo book.

I felt like I could understand why guys with girlfriends would fall for Yoo Seolhyun’s false seduction.

Does she subtly flirt with her looks?

Well, it’s only natural for a guy to fall for it.

Of course, for me, having grown up seeing Jin Soyeon, one of the world’s top beauties, I could only see Yoo Seolhyun as pretty.

I already knew about Yoo Seolhyun’s mischievous(?) personality.

    “We just had a conversation.”

“A conversation? It sounds suspicious to me. Am I mistaken?”

Yoo Seolhyun listened to my words and smiled politely.

“Hehe. Why? Do you think I did something strange to Soyeon?”

Yoo Seolhyun covered her lips with her hand and smirked.

She truly looked like a villainess.

I chuckled and shrugged my shoulders.

“No way. You wouldn’t break a promise so easily, right? Especially since you made one with her.”

“You seem to know a lot about me. Do you have clairvoyance or something?”

No, I just memorized your character setting.

“Anyway, why did you call me here? Do you have something to say?”

“Oh, it’s nothing major. I just have a favor to ask.”

    “A favor?”

    “Yeah.”

Yoo Seolhyun blinked her eyes and tilted her head slightly, curious about what favor I wanted.

    “What favor?”

“Can you take a look at this for me?”

    I rummaged through my pocket.

Where was it… Ah, found it.

I finally took out a piece of paper and handed it to her.

Yoo Seolhyun slowly read the writing on the paper.

“Purchasing agent for the Crow Bow, a work of the archery master Lee Hwanyeong?”

The Crow Bow, part of the Crow series by the national intangible cultural heritage archery master Lee Hwanyeong.

Commonly known as the Crow Bow, this bow was made for the Giant Monster Raid and surpassed the tension of a regular recurve bow.

In the game, it was one of the high-attack bows with a cool black design.

“There are also Giant Monster Raid Poison Arrows, Smoke Arrows, Acid Arrows, Attachment Arrows… There are quite a lot of them. There are also scrolls and strange items.”

After quickly scanning through them, Yoo Seolhyun looked up and gazed at my face from a distance.

“So, you want me to purchase these for you?”

    “Yeah.”

I nodded my head in agreement.

There were items that were difficult to find in the market, so I definitely wanted to get Yu Seol-hyun’s help. She would surely be able to find them.

“Well, since you’ve helped me before, it’s not a big deal…”

She glanced at me out of the corner of her eye.

“…Where are you planning to use it?”

“For the Giant Monster Subjugation, of course. I need it to capture monsters.”

    “Oh, really?”

Yu Seol-hyun looked at me for a moment before chuckling.

    “Well, okay. I won’t pry.”

“If you do, I’ll be grateful.”

I was relieved that she didn’t ask for a detailed explanation.

Well, even if she did, it wouldn’t really matter.

“But Yu Seol-hyun, you won’t be able to mobilize the hero team you manage for dungeon conquests for a while, right?”

“Yeah, that’s probably true. The heroes rescued from Mount Yeongdeung are in need of more treatment.”

Yu Seol-hyun nodded solemnly and continued speaking.

“Also, regardless of the success of this rescue mission, we already suffered a setback in a previous conquest, so I need to be more cautious for a while.”

“Ah, that’s a bit disappointing. I know the location of a dungeon with quite a decent difficulty level.”

I was planning to tell her the locations and strategies of a few dungeons in exchange for her helping me collect the drops from the dungeons.

“So, I guess I’ll have to go there alone.”

    “Huh? What did you say?”

“Oh, it’s just me talking to myself, don’t mind me.”

    I waved my hand dismissively.

    “By the way, Lee Jin-hyuk.”

    “Yeah?”

    “Do you have money?”

    “Huh?”

“Even just a quick look at this, it’s not something to be taken lightly. It’s not just a small amount, right? Especially for something like the scroll you’re trying to buy?”

    “I know that well.”

The magic scroll I used during the conquest of Mount Yeongdeung was an item I received from Yu Seol-hyun for free.

It was too expensive for an ordinary person to purchase.

“Perhaps you were planning to deduct half of my basic fee for participating in the Mount Yeongdeung dungeon conquest as payment…”

“I have a lot of money.”

I cut off Yu Seol-hyun’s words with a nonchalant voice and took out my phone from my pocket to show her the stock trading records.

    “Huh?”

Yu Seol-hyun stared at the phone screen for a moment.

    “Uh, uh-huh?”

    Her eyes widened in surprise.

“Black Door Clan, LB Medical, Hansung Pharmaceuticals, Live Gate Group, VE Electronics, etc… If you add up all the stocks related to these, it’s roughly around 30 billion. Some of them are expected to increase by 4 to 6 times in the future.”

Before I forgot the memories of my past life, I had immediately created a chart on my phone to keep track of the stocks.

Thanks to that, I could roughly predict which stocks would rise or fall in the future.

“In fact, I’ve been investing in stocks with my parents’ inheritance for a few months.”

Investing my parents’ precious inheritance in stocks, which was almost like gambling, might have seemed risky to others, but I knew the future.

I was confident because I had cross-verified the information I knew about the future with other sources multiple times.

As the main story progressed, I knew which companies would go public and which companies would be delisted, so if I didn’t invest in stocks, I would lose money, right? Loss.

    Isn’t that right?

“Oh, but maybe I did it without thinking too much, that’s why the Financial Services Commission called me. They said my profit rate was unreasonable.”

Wow, damn, I’m rich! I was too excited with the thought. Well, in my past life, it was an amount I had never seen before, so I could only be excited.

“Because of that, I underwent several investigations, but it ended well, so I’m grateful, right? This is ridiculous. I was thinking of trying gift trading too.”

Listening to my words in a daze, Yu Seol-hyun soon made a disgusted expression.

“…Could you do that with your future foresight ability?”

    “A little?”

“Usually, those with precognitive abilities have many limitations and can only see a limited future, so they can’t see what they want to see properly.”

Indeed, those with precognitive abilities have many limitations.

They may dream about it and forget it quickly, only see the future where they themselves are harmed, or only see it in fragments like a picture, and so on.

    But I’m not a precognitive.

    “Lucky me, huh.”

As I muttered, Yoo Seol-hyun shook her head vigorously.

“This is totally unfair… Do you know how much I lost when I was young…?”

Suddenly, Yoo Seol-hyun bowed her head deeply and muttered softly.

“I almost lost all my capital… and lost in a bet with my grandfather…”

    She looked quite gloomy.

I wondered why she suddenly looked like that.

Oh, come to think of it, Yoo Seol-hyun had a big fight about stocks when she was young, right? Maybe that’s why she had a setting of avoiding stocks ever since.

“Lunchtime is almost over. Shouldn’t we go down now?”

    “Sigh…”

“Oh, and if you can find it as soon as possible, please do. I’ll send you our home address via text.”

    “Got it…”

“You look like you’re out of energy. Can you recommend me some good companies that will be listed soon?”

    “…I’m done.”

    She seemed a bit cold.

Anyway, Yoo Seol-hyun and I soon descended from the rooftop.

I hope the ordered items arrive soon. In order to defeat that monster and retrieve the item, the ordered items are essential.

“I wish I could ask Yoo Seol-hyun’s hero team to retrieve it… but since she can’t move for a while, I have to do it myself.”

The midterm exams are coming soon.

I decided to move myself because I need to retrieve it before the midterm exams.

It wasn’t a great item in the game, but it would be very useful in reality, so I wanted to retrieve it as soon as possible.

And well, this time, I just have to defeat one monster, so it shouldn’t be too difficult.

    …It should be fine, right?
