Isn’t it too much to think that something is already coming even though I haven’t even memorized the content properly? But do we need to respond to this right away?

    Knock knock knock

I tried to use as much paper as I could to memorize Rule 2 properly, but the sound of tapping on the window continued, so I reluctantly opened the window.

    “■■■■■■. 303■■ ■■■ ■■ ■■■■■■.”

    “….Yes?”

I opened the window and saw something in a black suit looking at me and saying? It looked like they were doing the same thing. But along the way, I couldn’t understand a single letter except for numbers.

Besides, this person?…How does he talk when there is nothing on his face? I could definitely hear the sound, but there was literally nothing near my face. As if there was a hole in the air.

    “303■■ ■■■ ■■■■■.”

If you say 303, do you mean room 303 where Arin is? I vaguely remembered that among the regulations I had looked through, there was something about this man.

    “Room 303 is closed..”

Closure…? Was the closure right? No wait, it was definitely something else…

    “■■■ ■■■■…”

I saw the man raise his hand and my memory was immediately cut off. The last thing I saw was my body turned upside down.

    “…Where are you?”

When I got up and looked around, I saw a room that looked like I had seen it before. There was a view of the security room, including CCTV and walkie-talkies, and a familiar piece of paper was placed on the desk.

There were rules written on the paper that had to be followed up to 10 times. It was a rule that gave me a feeling of déjà vu, but I had a feeling that if I couldn’t memorize it, I would be in big trouble, so I crammed as much of the content on the paper into my head as possible.

    Knock knock knock

I heard a knock on the window and when I opened it, a faceless man in a black suit was waiting.

    “An■■Ten■■. Room 303■ ■■ is ■■■■”

The man’s voice was strange and the language he spoke was distorted, but for some reason I could understand parts of it. I remembered the rules for men that I had seen just before and gave the correct answer.

“The daughter of room 303 has already taken her life.”

    “….■■Wet■■.”

The man raised his hand and dropped a piece of black paper under the window. The man dropped all the papers in his hands, nodded, turned and started walking away.

“Obviously, I died once…but did I come back to life…?”

After the man left, I immediately closed the window, sat down on the chair and lowered my head. The moment I saw the man’s appearance, the memory of how I was killed by the man came back to me.

I was hung by a man who was angry because I didn’t say what the rules said, and I don’t know why, but I came back to life. No matter how I think about it, my current situation was like this.

“How did you understand what I said…”

But what I still don’t know why is that the first time I heard the man speak, I clearly couldn’t understand anything, but this time, for some reason, I was able to understand part of it.

The simplest way to think about it is that every time you die, you can understand more…? But this wasn’t yet certain.

Things were happening that I couldn’t understand, but one thing was certain: the rules written on paper were my lifeline.

I picked up the paper again and tried to remember as much as I could. However, the content is quite long and complicated to remember at once, so should I memorize it step by step?

    Weeing – Weeing – Weeing – Weeing – Weeing – Weeing – Weeing

While I was reading the paper, I heard a sound like an emergency sound in the security room. When I was startled and looked around as much as possible to find the cause, the CCTV screen caught my eye.

In the black and white CCTV footage showing the exterior of the hospital, a person wearing a patient uniform was seen leaving the hospital entrance.

Coincidentally, one of the regulations I was reading included what to do if a patient escapes, so I thought it was good timing and got up to go outside.

First, I opened my desk drawer to take the candy as written in the rules. Inside the drawer were five candies in brown packaging and a baton.

After taking a piece of candy, my eyes suddenly caught the baton lying next to me. I wasn’t sure if it would help, but I thought it would be better than nothing, so I picked up the baton.

After completing all preparations, I went outside and saw a female patient running in front of the security office. I ran quickly, but the patient walked much faster than me, so it was difficult to keep up with him.

    “Stop right there!”

I shouted as loudly as I could, and the patient, who had been running, turned around and looked at me. Although it looked blurry on CCTV, the patient I saw in person was a woman of considerable beauty.

“Well, you can’t leave here. You still need to receive treatment, so please return to the hospital.”

When the patient finally came before me, I took a deep breath and said the line I had prepared. It would be nice if you could just listen to this and go back.

“Well, I have to get out of here…! I am not a patient!”

The patient, who appeared to be in her 20s and was quite beautiful, clung to me with tears in her eyes. I felt a soft touch on my chest, but more than that, I was very concerned about what the patient said.

    “Not a patient…?”

“I was just here to have fun, but I was forced into this hospital! Please help me!”

Could it be that this person is also someone who runs hospitals like me? Since the reason I first came to this hospital was simply out of curiosity, there was a good chance that this person was also taken to the hospital for the same reason.

    “…Is that true?”

“Sigh…I finally met someone I can communicate with…Please go to the security room first…Please…!”

Soon she hugged me and started crying. I felt my heart weaken at the sight of it, which could not be seen as acting.

If this person is really just an ordinary person who was caught, can’t I help them in some way?

“I understand. First, I’ll find a way to help you, so let’s go back to the security room together. It’s dangerous here.”

I comforted her as she cried and walked with her to the security office. It was difficult to walk because she clung to me tightly and wouldn’t let go, but that also seemed to tell me that she was a fragile, ordinary person.

“It’s probably safe here. First, please sit in that chair and I will find another way.”

I entered the security room with her and closed the door. I wasn’t sure if the security room was safe, but it was the safest place I knew at this point.

    “……”

But when she entered the security room, she lowered her head and said nothing. I thought something was wrong, so I tapped her shoulder.

    “Is there some problem?”

    “■ is ■■”

She raised her head again and I quickly stepped back. I checked to see if there was a place to escape, but the only way out was the door she was blocking.

    “■Eat■■”

Her whole face started to turn into a huge mouth. Its mouth, full of sharp teeth, was big enough to swallow at least my head in one bite.

My memory was cut off to the last sight of her lunging at me.

    “I’m back again..”

When I saw the familiar room again, I sat down and let out a deep sigh. Maybe it was because I was aware of my death, but I vividly remembered my entire head being grabbed by a huge mouth without even seeing her again.

I don’t know why I remained sane even after experiencing death twice, but I was able to keep my cool without even knowing why. Did something happen or did my spirit become stronger?

I picked up the paper again and read the contents again and again. Once the person who deceived me appeared, I knew with my body that if I didn’t follow the rules, my life would be at risk.

“What does the body have to give…”

As I read the regulations, I was dissatisfied that some things were unclear. Is it okay to just go to the basement? Is hair and nails okay for a woman wearing high heels? Why wasn’t it clearly written down?

    Knock knock

There was a knock again and I put down the paper and quickly opened the window. I’ve memorized rule number 2, so there shouldn’t be any problem.

    “To Room 205 on the 2nd floor ■■■■! I am ■■■■ ■■■ ■■ ■■■ ■■■!”

    “…Yes?”

As soon as I opened the door, a being wearing a nurse’s uniform with a bandage wrapped around her head and only her mouth visible spoke quickly. The only thing I could understand was the word “room 205” and I couldn’t understand anything else.

I couldn’t recognize anything behind the scenes, but I could tell that this being was the nurse from 2-3. Fortunately, I had memorized the rules perfectly, so I just had to do as they were written, but for some reason, I was very concerned about what she said afterward.

“If it’s room 205…are you referring to the room where Hayun is?”

    “■■! Mr. Hayun■ ■■■■■! ■■ ■■■■ ■■■ ■■■■■!”

This time, all I could hear was Mr. Hayun. She would have gone back if I had just told her that room 205 was closed, but for some reason I felt I shouldn’t let her go now.

I rummaged through as many drawers as I could, looking for a ballpoint pen. Luckily, I found that there was a pen in the second drawer, so I checked to see if there was any paper to write on.

But no matter how hard I searched, I couldn’t find the paper. In the end, I searched every room and the only paper I could find was the regulations.

I didn’t know what would happen if I wrote it down in the rules, but I had no choice. I glanced at the contents again, crammed everything into my head as best as I could, and handed the pen and paper to the nurse.

    “■■…■■■ ■■■■■. ■■■ ■■ ■■■■.”

I couldn’t understand everything she said anymore, but somehow she seemed to be expressing gratitude. When she handed the paper back, the contents of the regulation disappeared and Mr. Hayun ■■■ ■■■■■! The only words written were: ■■■■■..

When I looked straight ahead again, the nurse had disappeared somewhere. Although the regulations were immediately gone, I felt that I had gained something more important than that.
