Chapter Index

As I woke up with my eyes half-asleep, I found Shine watching television.

    “Shine. Where’s Amy?”

“I went out for a bit to run some business.”

I got out of bed with a yawn, rubbed my eyes, and sat down next to Shine.

She was watching the news again this time.

    “Is this fun?”

    “Yeah.”

I rested my chin on her words and watched the news for a long time.

The noise coming from my head is getting louder.

    Any remaining interest quickly disappears.

I got down from my chair as I was looking at the list of boring contents.

The problem was that there was too little to do.

Drawing, playing with dolls, it was all boring.

What do you usually do to pass the time?

I wish there was a computer in the room.

I thought it might be a good idea to talk to Amy when she came back.

Unable to stand the boredom, I brought a sketchbook and spent my time drawing.

It was a long time before Amy returned.

    “Amy.”

    “Huh?”

“I want to use the computer in my room.”

    “Really?”

    “Yes.”

I said to Amy as I folded my sketchbook.

She seemed to think for a moment, then took out her cell phone and tapped the screen.

    “Wait a minute.”

As she said, a few moments later, men carrying a large box arrived in the room.

They greeted Amy and began setting up the computer as she instructed.

In the place where there were so many dolls, they were removed and a large desk was placed.

A large computer is installed on top of it.

I look at the computer with sparkling eyes.

    “I don’t find that funny.”

Shine didn’t seem to like computers.

The dolls that had been on the computer desk were moved near the bed.

    “One hour a day.”

    “Huh?”

“You only have one hour to do it.”

I looked up at Amy in disbelief.

An hour? Isn’t that too short?

But she seemed to have no intention of going back on her words once she had said them.

Amy sat down in front of her newly installed computer and began installing a suspicious program.

I looked at the computer with anxious eyes.

A large shield-shaped mark fills the screen.

As Amy types in her ID and password, a familiar desktop appears.

    “Okay. Jeff.”

I sat down in the seat Amy had given me and held the mouse with trembling hands.

    A familiar feeling.

Amy moves her little hands to check the programs she has installed.

    Safe guard.

    What is this?

I slowly shift my gaze and look up at Amy.

She said with a slow smile.

    “One hour a day.”

Just in case, I went to a website I often visited.

    “Oops… .”

A sigh of regret escapes from his slightly open mouth.

    Connection is not possible.

The homepage of the game I usually enjoy was blocked and inaccessible.

I moved quickly and tried to access another site.

But the results were always the same.

The only site I could access was YouTube.

Even the videos that could be viewed were restricted.

Amy looked at me like that with satisfaction and then started watching the news with Shine.

The hand holding the mouse began to tremble.

In the end, there was nothing I could do.

Eventually, I searched for the [Little Witch’s Great Adventure] video for an hour.

As Amy said, an hour later, a large shield appeared on the computer screen.

    “Jeff. An hour is up.”

    “Amy… . This is weird.”

I pointed at the computer and made a sad face.

I couldn’t play the game because a strange program was installed.

As Amy said, after an hour the computer itself became unusable.

    It was so sad.

I felt like tears were about to flow.

I looked at Amy, stomping my feet. She said.

“If you study hard, I will help you do more.”

    His studies were the problem.

I turned my gaze and glared at the thick workbook on the table.

    The sound of wheezing.

I touched my feverish face and let out a small sigh as I stretched out my body.

I let out a weak moan as I was spread out like melted cheese.

I feel like things have gotten a little weird lately.

“Amy, I think I’ve been acting a little strange lately.”

    “Huh?”

“I keep getting angry and I feel like I’m going to cry.”

I put my hand on my forehead and poured out my heart.

My stuffy mind doesn’t go away.

I think playing a fun game would help solve this problem.

He lifts his arm slightly and checks Amy’s expression.

“I see. Our Jeff. What’s the problem?”

    “This… . I want to play this game… .”

    “Game?”

    “Yes… . But you can’t. It’s blocked so you can’t get in. ”

Thinking about it makes me mad.

I got up from my seat and stomped on the chair.

    “Let me go of this!”

Amy’s eyes widened, seeming taken aback by my sudden behavior.

The emotional changes that pop up here and there.

I sat down, covering my face.

With a deep sigh, he cried again.

    “I’m sorry, Amy… .”

I get down from the chair weakly.

    My head is buzzing.

He’s acting like an adult and throwing tantrums.

I got down from the chair and threw myself onto the soft teddy bear.

I fall asleep and get buried in the dolls.

    “Jeff.”

Shine, who was watching the news, was suddenly looking at me.

I turned my gaze to her.

A blurry image of Shine appears in the eyes filled with tears.

I avoided her gaze and dug into the doll.

    My head was a mess.

As I was struggling alone with my uneasy mind, Shine came to me and held out her hand.

    “It’s okay, Jeff.”

She smiled softly and caressed my cheek.

My head, which was a mess, becomes clear.

The headache was gone, and even the anxiety that had been building up in my chest disappeared in an instant.

I lay down in a comfortable position.

Shine, who was looking down at me with a drooping face, spoke to Amy.

“Amy. An hour seems too short.”

    “Is that so…?”

“Yeah, Jeff wants to do more.”

    “Um… .”

Amy seemed to think for a moment, then took a small book out of her pocket.

She looked through the book a few times and then spoke to me with a small sigh.

“Okay Jeff. Then two hours a day. But you have to study.”

I nodded slowly to her words.

But the smile couldn’t be hidden.

I raised my hand to cover my mouth as a smile spread across my face, but Amy seemed to have noticed my smile.

    “You like it that much?”

    “Yes… .”

“I hate it when Jeff is on the computer.”

Shine said that and sat down next to me.

The soft, sinking belly of a teddy bear.

She came to me, holding a teddy bear.

“But it’s okay because Jeff likes it.”

    “Ugh… . Thank you.”

    I nodded and said.

Shine smiled with satisfaction at my appearance and hugged me.

Warm, soft arms hug my body tightly.

I too reached out and hugged her body.

The sound of a pounding heart overlaps to bring peace of mind.

    “Jeff. Don’t you thank me?”

Amy looks at me with a look of disappointment.

I opened my mouth hurriedly and spoke.

    “Thank you, Amy.”

In the end, I was able to use the computer for an extra hour that day.

Studying with Amy became more difficult day by day.

I was always in a sad mood when I was solving a problem.

Problems that were easy until I finally solved them were always wrong when it came time to grade them.

Shine wasn’t always right either, but I felt impatient because she was always ahead of me.

After Shine solved all the problems, she came to me and solved the problems together with me.

When I was with her, strangely enough, all my problems were solved so easily.

“Jeff, can’t you solve the problem?”

“I want to do it with Shine.”

As soon as I get a problem, I let it go.

Because if I tried to solve it alone, I was sure I would get it all wrong.

Amy, who was looking at me like that, let out a small sigh and said.

“If you only receive help from others, you will not be able to do anything on your own.”

“But even now, I can’t solve it on my own.”

Shine solved the problem at a fast pace.

    I blankly watched her movements.

After solving all her problems, she came to me and whispered in my ear.

    You can do it, Jeff.

    It’s an easy problem.

    I’m with you.

    I move my hands absentmindedly.

    Problems that are easily solved.

Each question takes less than a minute.

Solve problems at a speed incomparable to that of before.

Having solved all the problems, I put down my pen with a satisfied expression.

    “Are you done already?”

Amy, who had been fiddling with her phone for a moment, picked up the workbook I had solved.

    “It got pretty fast, right?”

    “I helped you.”

“Good job Shine. Whenever Jeff is having a hard time, you always have to help him out.”

    “Yeah. I’ll help Jeff.”

Shine turns around and sits down, taking my hand.

I was sitting there blankly when I suddenly opened my mouth in surprise.

“Jeff, will you help me if I have a hard time?”

    “Huh… ?”

    “Will you help me?”

    “Of course… .”

    I nodded and said.

She always helped me when I was having a hard time.

No matter how difficult the task was, I could overcome it without any problems if I was with Shine.

It was clear that I would not have been able to solve the problem if Shine had not helped me.

Since I finished studying for today, the rest of the time was free time.

I went straight to the computer desk and sat down.

It was clear that I was the only one using the computer, but there was an unfamiliar notepad on the desktop that I had never seen before.

Feeling puzzled, I clicked on the notepad.

    A short written phrase.

    get out!!

The exclamation mark at the end looks very strong.

    what?

I turned my head and looked at Amy and Shine.

“Amy. Did you use the computer?”

    “No?”

    “What about Shine?”

    “I didn’t write it either.”

I turned my head and touched my chin.

So, did I write this notepad?

    But you don’t remember?

I flip through the notepad and delete it without thinking about it.

The time given to me is very limited.

Go to YouTube and start searching for videos right away and watching them.

I pull the hat I had taken off because of studying down on my head and give my mind to the splendid images.

Right now, at this moment, I was flying in the sky as Lucy the Witch, not Jeff.

The newly uploaded video got me even more excited.

I look at the video closely with a pounding heart.

    [The Little Witch’s Great Adventure]

    Theatrical release.

A word that comes to mind strongly.

    I hold my breath.

I have to go see it right now.

I get up from my seat, wiggling my butt.

I have to get out of here.

    I have to go out!
