As I’ve also appended to my author name, this is a status update.

It’s been a long time since then; the final chapter was posted on July 18, 2021.

It is currently April 10, 2022.

Approximately ten months… Finally, I am truly delighted as the author to be able to deliver some happy news to my readers.

This series, *Because We Quit Being Childhood Friends*, has been confirmed for a comic adaptation by Shusuisha! It will be serialized digitally, and while the artist and serialization start date are still completely undetermined, I am truly delighted that we were finally able to make this announcement!

The added scenes mentioned in the afterword are also definitely planned to be included!

Unlike the novel, I, as the original author, am looking forward from the bottom of my heart to how the stories of Kyotarou and Tomoe, and Takeo and Chihana will be depicted in the manga!

If there are any further updates, I will inform you as they become available, so I hope you will wait for them!
