“Arlin, finish your meal first before we continue. You haven’t finished everything yet, have you? Just put it down and finish your meal.”

“Yes, hehe… studying with Vina unnie…”

Arlin, looking at me, giggled softly.

I haven’t done much for Arlin, just simple things like cooking and cleaning. I’ve only done what comes to mind when you think of a housekeeper. Why is she so happy about it?

So, I decided to ask the red-haired girl sitting next to me.

“Do you know why Arlin is so happy? I feel like I haven’t done anything special, so why is she acting like this?”

“Well, maybe she heard rumors about you from the association. She asked me about your past too.”

“Then shouldn’t she dislike me even more? Isn’t this a bit strange?”

“Arlin seems to be into that kind of stuff lately. Like… becoming allies with the enemy? She used to talk about how great that was.”

“Me, an ally? Ha, me? I’m a villain. I can’t possibly become a magical girl’s ally.”

“Well, you may think that way, but at least to Arlin, you might seem that way. A core member of a huge villain organization, now helping magical girls.”

“I really don’t understand. Becoming an ally of a magical girl. Ridiculous. Well… even if I can’t be an ally of a magical girl, I guess I can be an ally to Arlin personally.”

Finishing our meal, I sat Arlin down in front of me.

“Alright, can you tell me the scope of the exam?”

“Well, for math, it’s from here… to here. Other subjects are easy to finish, but this one is a bit difficult.”

“Hmm… joint. Let’s start by drawing a triangle.”

Elementary school math was really easy. At least there were no damn functions or calculus involved.

How much can you expect from elementary school level geometry?

So, it was actually more challenging to teach something that was already common knowledge, something that had become part of common sense.

Teaching addition, subtraction, or even explaining basic computer skills to someone who had no idea how to use a computer, was like passing on common knowledge.

It seemed like the key was to provide various suitable examples and gradually fill in the gaps through questions.

At least this level was easy to handle.

Teaching math was a relief as Arlin’s basic understanding was already there.

At least it wasn’t at the level of ‘let’s find the number of monsters and magical girls.’

    Next was social studies.

I thought it would be about politics, law, and economics, but it turned out to be history.

And not just any history, but Korean history.

To gauge the level, I asked for Arlin’s permission and looked through the textbook.

High school level history was already quite basic, but elementary school level history was even more superficial, not even scratching the surface, so I didn’t go into too much detail.

Since history was mainly about memorization, I explained it in a storytelling format, gradually connecting the dots with interesting material to keep Arlin engaged.

At least, it seemed like adding magical girl stories would be a good idea.

But Arlin seemed to want something different than those stories.

“So, this Kim Chung-seon person also came to Joseon like Vina unnie to realize justice and stop meaningless fights, right?”

“Well, I’m not here to realize justice like Vina unnie… but in Kim Chung-seon’s case, well, you could see it that way.”

“Sigh, thanks to your explanation, I feel like I understand it well. How are you able to teach better than our homeroom teacher?”

“I’m not sure. I have some teaching experience, but this is my first time teaching elementary students.”

“You’re amazing, unni. Can you continue to teach us in the future?”

“If you want me to, bring back good grades. Review everything I taught you today thoroughly on your own. Studying is like training.”

    “Yes! Thank you, unni!!”

I watched Arin’s back as she ran up the stairs to her room.

The stairs weren’t that high, but it must be tough for Arin to jump two steps at a time with her height. As I was thinking about that, the redhead came over to ask a question.

    “Um, c-can I… help too…?”

Am I a private tutor or a maid?

    “Yes, show me.”

“I can’t figure out how to solve this shape…”

“Oh, there, you need to draw a perpendicular line like this…”

And just like that, I ended up explaining advanced math to the redhead. I might as well have become a private tutor.

It would be nice if there was a jobless person lying down and looking at their smartphone, or Blanc helping by being a pillow for a crybaby. Not helping at all is really frustrating.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen high school math.

When did I switch bodies and regain my memories?

Thinking like that, it’s surprising that I can still solve problems at this level. Ah, I’m still alive, K-high school student.

I wasn’t even close to having the stamina of a monster back then, but I pushed myself to study.

Ah, I really struggled to survive.

Anyway, this student. It seems like they still don’t understand.

“Look. If you draw a perpendicular line here, there are several possible equations, right? You can see multiple acute angles, turning the sine law, turning the cosine law, even the Pythagorean theorem here, like this. Are you still stuck?”

    “Oh, no… it’s just that…”

“Do you want me to explain it like I did to Arin? Or should I bring a monster and draw a giant circle in the middle of the city for you to understand? Or should I start from the beginning?”

    “Umm, from the beginning…”

“Sigh, you keep trying to solve it by yourself. Look. Isn’t there a triangle inside the circle?”

It’s really difficult to make high school students understand.

Even Arin had already solved the problem and was holding onto it until she came down to the living room.

I tried asking detailed questions to see how much they knew and where they were struggling, and I answered everything, but if they still don’t understand…

“Sigh, you’ll have to try solving similar problems multiple times. Is that all?”

    “Oh, no… there are a few more…”

    Is this even making sense?

As I continued to teach the high school student, an alarm rang throughout the dormitory.

Despite that, I have adapted well to this maid life and know exactly what this sound means.

It’s the monster appearance siren. When there are signs of a monster appearing in the area where the magical girls of the dormitory are responsible, they alert the magical girls in advance.

It’s a slightly different pattern from the villain appearance siren, so even I, who is not familiar with this sound, can distinguish it.

“Redhead, shouldn’t you be heading out? There’s a monster.”

    “Oh, right. Sigh…”

While the redhead, who was looking at the information sent by the association on her smartphone, put her phone away and focused on the problem again.

“Aren’t you supposed to go out?”

“Oh, this is just a practical exercise for Arin, so Yoonseul or Hyewon will take her out. She should be able to handle this level on her own.”

“Let me take a look too.”

“Show confidential information to the villains on behalf of the association?”

“Ha, not now, right? Hurry up and show me.”

Whether it was because she was worried about Arin or not, I couldn’t tell. I asked her to show me what kind of monster it was.

For some reason, she looked at me with a cute look of her younger sister, but eventually showed it to me.

A normal reptile-type monster, of a decent size.

It was actually a monster used for training in Eden, so I was relieved now.

“Ha, this is it. I’m going again.”

“I can handle this much on my own. Arin too. It’s just that Yoonseul and Hyewon are following Arin because they’re worried.”

“Isn’t it too overpowered for those two against this monster? This one can be caught with just a dagger. If you attack by targeting its weak points, it’ll be over in no time.”

“Well, Arin doesn’t have that level of accuracy yet. Even though she’s improving through training, it’ll take some time.”

“Is that so. But, are these monsters naturally appearing?”

“Yes, these days all monsters are naturally appearing. It seems like the frequency of natural appearances has increased compared to when Eden was around.”

“Isn’t that natural? Where do we get monsters from? Do you know how much energy is lost in that process?”

“At least it’s easier to predict now, so we should be thankful.”

While chatting away without studying, Arin and Wooboo finished preparing to go out and came downstairs.

“Ha, Blang isn’t going, are you going instead?”

“I don’t need Yoonseul to come along.”

“Is that so. Please make sure Arin doesn’t get hurt. How sad would it be if she got injured right before the exam, it’s unimaginable.”

“Who am I. I’ll protect Arin. Vina, you watch the broadcast.”

Seeing off the two who left, I started studying with the red-haired girl again.

Well, I was watching the broadcast by threatening her, but still.

    Arin, you’re weaker than I thought. Hm…
