“Damn it.”

I was a fool to think that the police only moved during work hours. Above all, I couldn’t even imagine coming to a place like this in the early morning.

We comfortably arrived at the one-room apartment in a Rika car.

However, we met unexpected guests waiting for us. It was the SRS, not just regular police officers.

Seeing the emblem on their shoulders, a pattern I had seen before. A special abilities unit famous for ruthlessly taking down villains.

It was the SRS police officers, all with special abilities, who showed up this early morning.

We couldn’t hide our confusion as we stared blankly at each other.

Both of them were wearing masks used by special forces units. The person who approached with a frown, long eyelashes, and eye makeup looked like a woman.

She even took out a long sword and then put it back into its sheath.

“Hello, may I have a moment to talk? We are SRS police officers.”

Showing their identification from their vests, they confirmed that they were police officers.

Looking at the government ID, it matched the pretty woman in uniform. However, in front of me were armed individuals exuding vitality.

    “What’s going on?”

“I’d like to ask that, but where is everyone going? Um, just a moment…”

I asked the woman while sitting in the Rika car.

The woman, who was staring at me intently, took out her phone and looked at something.

“I recognize your face. Kim Shin. Your name is Kim Shin, right?”

“Yes, that’s correct. Why do you ask?”

Turning our phones towards each other, the man also looked at my face. Then he handed me his phone, showing a picture taken with government officials during a counseling session for reclusive youth.

“There was an incident at Kim Shin’s one-room apartment. Everything disappeared.”

“An incident… why? I had no idea.”

In times like these, one must remain calm.

My heart felt like it was about to burst, but I casually responded as if nothing was wrong.

The woman’s eyes widened at my response and she sighed.

“First of all, the Seoul city officials reported it directly. What was it… Just a moment. They visited for post-management of the reclusive youth program, but there was no one at home, and strange monsters were present. The official accompanying those monsters was stabbed with a knife, and Kim Shin’s disappearance is suspected.”

The police officer seemed to be reading the report details from her phone.

It was indeed the doing of the government official, Kim A-young.

Since meeting that woman, my life had completely turned upside down.

Every crucial moment kept going awry, so I vowed to prioritize resolving the current situation no matter what.

“Alright, Kim Shin. It has been confirmed that you are not missing. Where did you go and come back from? Were they friends?”

The woman pointed to Hop Goblin Krotan and the soldiers sitting in the Rika car.

“Yes. They are like family to me.”

“Family…? Why are they all wearing helmets, especially the teacher? Would you mind taking off your helmet?”

Approaching, the woman looked up at Krotan.

    “Grrr…”

“Ahem. Uh, well… all the friends here are patients with Hansen’s disease.”

Fearing that Krotan’s growling might give away their identities, I quickly intervened in the conversation.

Above all, I had to stop Hop Goblin, who seemed ready to throw a punch.

    “What, what? H-Hansen’s disease…?”

    “Eek!”

The man was startled and quickly distanced himself.

The woman looked at him and sighed.

“Geez. Student, you shouldn’t lie. Where do you find Hansen’s disease in this day and age?”

“It’s true. It might be better to keep some distance.”

“Hey, Dove! Let’s just go. Okay?”

The girl turned around and cursed at the man.

“Hey, you idiot. There’s an important clue right in front of us, and you want to leave? Do you really want to die?”

    “No… It’s Hansen’s disease, right? It’s contagious! I’m leaving!”

“Wow, this crazy guy. Come here. Talking about contagion. Are you really going to die?”

    “Whoa… Hansen’s disease, right? It’s contagious! I’m leaving!”

Suddenly, the two began to argue.

In a flash, the woman approached the man, grabbed his collar, and started slapping his cheek.

    “This is our chance.”

“Got it. You take care of the woman, I’ll handle the man. We must eliminate them. Everyone understood?”

    “Got it.”

As the man and woman engaged in their antics, everyone drew their swords in preparation.

I, too, kept a knife at my waist, watching the situation closely, waiting for the right moment.

It’s best to eliminate them here.

If we run away now, SRS will chase us to the end.

“We’re doing this because we’re in public. You’ll see later.”

“Okay, okay! Why is she so strong…”

    “What…? Mentioning ‘she’ again?”

The information about those skilled individuals was scarce.

Judging only by appearance and words, the woman, who seemed powerful, appeared to use a longsword as her main weapon.

Normally, in such cases, it would involve superhuman abilities, but the inexperienced man had no clue.

The woman, who had been cautiously observing us, suddenly turned around perfectly.

And as the man’s gaze was fixed on the woman, it was the perfect timing.

    “Now!”

    Thud!

At my signal, Krton swiftly grabbed the woman’s ankle.

    “What??? You bastard! Aaargh!”

    Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

Krton ruthlessly slammed the woman, whose ankle he held, onto the ground as if beating a rug.

Simultaneously, the four soldiers brandished their swords and rushed towards the man, striking him.

    Slish. Slish.

The soldiers’ swords tore through the man’s vest and clothes, blood gushing out.

The man, unable to hide his confusion, raised his hands in defense.

Between his guard, his eyes were fixed on the woman being pummeled by Krton. It seemed like he had no interest in the smaller soldiers, rolling his eyes as he observed Krton.

“He took that hit. Dove! Are you okay? Ugh!”

    Fwoosh!

Indeed, he was not an easy opponent.

Flames erupted from his hands and he charged towards Krton in that state.

    Thud!

Krton blocked the fiery punch with one hand.

Smoke emanated from Krton’s hand as it burned. Stepping on the ground this time, the man kicked, flames igniting on his foot.

Although he blocked with his forearm, his training suit caught fire.

Shaking his arm, Krton extinguished the flames, looking visibly burnt.

    Puff! Puff!

Krton swung the woman’s ankle he held in his hand towards the man. The two collided and crashed into a parked car.

    Thud. Thud.

    Slish, slish!

    The four soldiers relentlessly attacked.

Madly slashing, the man embraced and protected the woman. Despite numerous stabs and slashes on his back, he remained motionless.

“Krton, are you okay? Let me see.”

    “Got it.”

Krton, seemingly indifferent, gazed at the police officers. His palm and forearm showed severe burns.

“Be careful. Look for an opportunity to escape.”

    Swoosh!

Something sliced through the air, severing the bodies of the four soldiers.

In a split second, the dismembered soldiers fell dead.

“Gurgle! Gurgle. Haah, haah… Damn. Let my guard down.”

    “Haha. Almost died there. Right?”

The man and woman staggered to their feet.

Especially when the man removed his vest and clothes, flames began to engulf his upper body.

His monstrous appearance seemed straight out of hell, making legs tremble.

    Crackle.

The wounds inflicted by my soldiers’ attacks healed and the flowing blood ceased.

The flames seemed more like a power to assimilate physically rather than for offensive purposes.

The woman, holding a longsword in one hand and removing her mask, approached Krton.

As she discarded her vest, a black T-shirt snugly clung to her body.

Looking at her face and ample chest, it was clear she was the woman.

“You villains. People have gone missing because of you guys, right?”

Wiping the blood trickling down her lips, she adjusts her stance. Observing Krton’s exposed forearm, her smirk grows.

“Hansen Disease likes it. Hey, what’s your identity? Are you a devil worshipper? Where are the people?”

When I made eye contact with the person behind Kriton, he aimed his sword at me. The man, boasting strong muscles, also raised his guard and adjusted his posture.

“It seems like men are specialized in defense. Women are more dangerous.”

Indeed, they don’t send just anyone.

The balance of power between those police officers was perfectly maintained.

I thought the man would lead the attack by manipulating flames, but he actually boasted astonishing defense.

And when the woman swung her sword, my soldiers died instantly. It seemed like Kriton’s surprise attack caused damage, but seeing blood flow, it clearly seemed specialized in offense.

“Look at him rolling his eyes. Are you controlling this giant?”

    “No?”

“Not… You’ll understand when you see.”

    Shiiing!

    Thud!

    Thump!

    Pew pew pew pew!

    Attacks came simultaneously.

In the blink of an eye, the woman dodged Kriton’s fist and kicked towards me. Struck on my left arm, I flew several meters and crashed into something.

Meanwhile, the man was engaged in a physical struggle with Kriton, preventing him from moving.

    “Aaargh! Ughhh…”

Unfamiliar pain made me involuntarily scream.

The immense force was such that I couldn’t feel anything in my left arm. It seemed like my arm was broken.

“What…? Aren’t you a superhuman? What, what are you?”

The woman approaching me looked down at me with a perplexed expression.

I lay on the ground and stared at Kriton.

Kriton, too, couldn’t take his eyes off me while grappling with the male police officer. Being separated like this wasn’t ideal.

    “Kriton! Come here!”

    Thud!

Kriton jumped in place and landed where I was. Then, growling, he confronted the police officers.

“Phew. He’s really strong, huh? Feels like hitting a rock.”

    “Can we win?”

“I don’t know. Dove, it seems to be after you.”

While the two men and women were plotting, I tried to get up somehow. But I was experiencing excruciating pain, trembling all over, tears welling up.

“Damn. Useless body. What do I know besides getting beaten up?”

    I pondered.

I thought and thought about how to escape this situation. I had to somehow get up and get out of here.

Otherwise, Kriton could die from their coordinated attacks.

    Ping!

[The contractor is feeling life-threatening danger.]

    [Natural Recovery skill is granted.]

[Skills: Life Creation (Lv. 1), Natural Recovery (Lv. 1)]

    Ping!

“There is a specimen carrying a small amount of semen in the uterine pouch.”

    “The female will be modified.”

“A higher-grade soldier is immediately conceived to save the contractor.”

“Wow. Indeed, the gods haven’t forsaken me.”

    “Hahaha. Damn! Hahaha.”

I burst into laughter like a madman.

As they saw me lying down, crying and laughing, their expressions twisted.

Suddenly, the pain in my uncomfortable left arm subsided.

I slowly got up and took out my phone.

    Then, I called Samael.

“You guys are all dead now.”
