Chapter Index

When I was still half asleep and feeling groggy, I could confirm that someone was patting my body.

Feeling the weight on me, it became apparent. As I started to regain my senses slightly and opened my eyes, it was indeed Lily who was patting my body.

Despite my illness, Lily’s expression seemed bright and happy as if nothing had happened.

As she noticed me waking up, Lily’s head, which had been buried in her chest, lifted, and our eyes met.

    “Amelia!”

Lily called out my name with a wide smile. I was relieved.

However, I made Lily kneel down.

    “I’m sorry…”

“How could you leave without saying anything to me? Do you know how shocked I was when I saw Lily collapsed?”

Even now, seeing Lily being embraced by Camilla, my heart raced.

Still overwhelmed by those feelings, I tightly held onto Lily’s hand. How could I not worry when this child, holding my hand so delicately, suffered so much while awakening her mana?

“Next time, please! Please! Tell me before you leave. If there’s something you can’t say, just tell me you’re going out and will explain later. Understand?”

    “Yeah…”

    “You’ve worked hard. Thank you.”

After firmly grasping Lily’s hand, I warmly embraced her.

We descended to the first floor hand in hand and had a delicious breakfast together.

Now is the crucial moment. I thought as I gently stroked Lily’s hair to prevent her from waking up.

Lily’s mana awakening. Surely, this news will spread soon.

Mana awakening leaves traces. Even I, an ordinary person, can sense that Lily’s condition has changed, but skilled individuals will immediately grasp it.

Currently, being secluded in the annex poses no issues, but eventually, as Lily’s mana grows, it will become impossible to conceal.

    That’s where the crux lies.

Helena. Her son cannot awaken his mana and lacks exceptional skills. In other words, her son is ordinary.

But Lily is different. When she awakened her mana at ten, she was the youngest awakener. At eight? It will undoubtedly spark controversy.

No matter how tightly Helena holds onto the Estelle family, ignoring the gaze of other families will be difficult.

Placing either a normal son or a daughter who awakened her mana at eight in the position of heir was predetermined.

In this world, gender is not an issue as long as one is qualified, regardless of male or female.

That’s why Helena turned Lily into the worst witch, the villainess.

Despite Lily’s talent, she belittled her character and placed her own son in the position of heir.

In the game, Lily could only endure it, but now things are different.

Helena is now showing interest in me. Therefore, I must do my best to make Helena lose interest in Lily.

It will surely be a tightrope walk.

Helena was a ruthless woman. If there’s anything about my actions that even slightly bothers her, I don’t know what she might do.

In other words, if I don’t act, Lily will. That’s why I woke up this morning with a firm resolution.

    “Hmm…”

Leaving the pajamas Lily was wearing by her side as she slept, Lily quickly grabbed my pajamas even though she was clearly asleep and buried her face in them.

Seeing that, I chuckled briefly and returned to my room with my belongings.

A large mirror in my room. And the vanity in front of it. I prepared myself and sat down in front of the vanity.

Because of my male sensibilities, I had never wanted to use what I was about to unlock for the first time.

    It was cosmetics.

Cosmetics that I had never used even once in the modern world. Being a man, I always just applied lotion.

Fortunately, I remembered doing Amelia’s makeup. Was it because it was a game originally? The cosmetics were almost identical to reality.

Combining memories of watching makeup videos while wandering on YouTube in modern times and Amelia’s original memories, I could skillfully finish with amazing makeup artistry.

    “Ah…”

When I finished everything and looked in the mirror, I was stunned. Its impact was tremendous beyond my expectations.

The piece created from Amelia’s makeup skills and my modern memories was extraordinary.

Already large eyes became more enchanting, lips sparkled even more alluringly.

As the shading became distinct, facial features stood out more, making my face appear more attractive.

Even looking at myself, I was almost mesmerized. Could there be anyone as beautiful as this among modern celebrities? It seemed so.

    ‘At this level.’

I quickly began to put on the maid’s attire. More meticulously.

Tightening the corset that was always slightly loose, I securely tied the knots and struggled into a maid outfit that Amelia wore a few years ago.

Perhaps because of this, my figure became more pronounced, and the skirt was slightly raised.

Moreover, the chest protruded prominently, making even me want to poke it with my finger.

    It was perfect.

After all preparations were done, I left the annex. The main building visible in the distance as soon as I stepped out of the door.

Walking towards the main building, I pondered.

How should I approach Helena? Can I, as a man, do it well? How does nobility engage in same-sex relationships? But I don’t want any physical contact with Helena.

Come to think of it, how should I meet Helena?

    ‘Oh, am I an idiot.’

At that moment, there was an incident, and Helena had deliberately come to meet me.

There was no way to meet Helena. However, it was a bit intimidating to directly enter the main building and ask. It would seem like I came to meet her on purpose. Or if I consider it as accepting her proposal, it would be awkward.

Meeting naturally is not entirely up to me, so what should I do?

    And then, I met Helena.

    ==

“Oh my, finally at the main house… Oh…”

Today, Helena was carrying a large parasol instead of a fan. She seemed to have unified most of her attire in red, making it the focal point.

The maid, for some reason, was standing alone at the path connecting the main house and the annex.

Helena noticed Amelia coming and, smiling brightly, approached her. However, upon seeing Amelia’s made-up face, she stopped speaking and walking.

Amelia politely bowed as discreetly as possible. Her golden hair beautifully fluttered as it fell forward.

“Hello, Lady Helena. What brings you here… Lady Helena?”

Helena’s snake-like eyes had softened imperceptibly, revealing her nose and mouth that were unseen due to the fan last time.

Her sharp nose, slightly parted lips, and distinctly noble-looking lips exuded vitality.

Seeing Amelia, Helena blankly stared, then blushed.

‘Why is she acting like that?’

Realizing she was blushing, she took out her fan to cover her face.

    -Tap.

Something fell to the ground at that moment. The reason was Helena’s hand holding the fan also gripping the parasol, causing the parasol to drop weakly to the floor.

Helena tried to pick it up but hesitated, then tried again, unable to bend further due to a tighter corset or sturdy undergarments she might be wearing.

Amelia couldn’t help but approach cautiously, bending her knees carefully and taking the umbrella in her hands. Her large chest made it so that her chest was lifted against Amelia’s knees.

Already big, her chest became even more prominent when lifted by her knees.

    “Gasp…!”

Helena’s voice rang out. As Amelia lifted her head, Helena, startled, covered her eyes with a fan.

Standing up, Amelia carefully handed the umbrella to Helena. Their hands touched during the process, causing Helena to startle.

    “T-thank you. *gulp*.”

    – Thud.

In that moment, driven by the desire to see that sight again, Helena unconsciously loosened her grip, causing the umbrella to fall once more.

Assuring that everything was fine, Amelia bent her knees again, lifting her chest, and retrieved the umbrella.

    – Swoosh.

As the fan lowered slightly, Helena’s eyes turned towards Amelia’s chest.

    “S-sorry.”

“It’s okay. So, what brings you here?”

    “I-I was just… taking a walk!”

    “Here? In this place?”

“Yes! I got bored of the other paths!”

“I apologize for interrupting your walk. I need to go to the kitchen.”

After bowing politely, as Amelia was about to leave.

    “S-should I come with you?”

    “Pardon?”

    ==

Silently, Helena and I walked to the main house’s kitchen without exchanging any words.

It’s nerve-wracking how Helena keeps stealing glances at me from the side.

It wasn’t like this until last time.

Helena, exuding a predatory aura with snake-like eyes, seemed just like the Helena I knew.

But the current Helena gives off a fresh innocence of a newly matured girl… It feels quite alien.

But I must stay alert. She’s the one who killed the head chef.

Resolving internally once more, we arrived at the main house’s kitchen before I received bags containing various pre-packaged ingredients.

Once again, I nodded respectfully at Helena, who was watching me.

Hurrying out of the kitchen, Helena, with no reason to follow, simply watched me as I distanced myself.
