Chapter Index

I wandered around the gambling den in search of alcohol.

There must be a place selling alcohol, but it seemed unlikely that they wouldn’t sell alcohol in a place like this.

As I wandered around with confidence, I spotted someone drinking wine and playing a card game at a table.

I approached the person, taking a sip of wine.

    “Excuse me.”

    “Oh, you startled me!”

Startled by my voice, the person focused on the card game turned to look at me.

“Where did you get that wine?”

    “Oh, this? It’s from here.”

He nodded as I pointed to the wine.

“I’ve been wandering around this gambling den for about an hour looking for alcohol. If you go up to the second floor, there’s a bar in the corner, you can get it there.”

    “Is it that far away?”

How big is this building if you have to go up to the second floor?

“If it’s inconvenient to go back and forth, you can go get the alcohol yourself, or if you tip more, they’ll bring it to your table. I have to focus on the game, so you should go now.”

He waved his hand dismissively at me and returned to concentrating on the cards in his hand.

Without hesitation, I went straight to the second floor.

However, even after going up to the second floor, I couldn’t see the bar anywhere.

“This is strange… I was told it’s on the second floor…”

Scratching my head, I was approached by someone while wandering around the second floor.

“Are you looking for the bar by any chance?”

A man with brown hair approached me.

“Yes, I heard it was on the second floor earlier. But when I went up to the second floor, I couldn’t see it anywhere.”

“It seems like you’re here for the first time. You actually get the alcohol on the third floor, not the second floor. It seems like the person who told you got the floor wrong.”

He reached out his hand to me.

    “Yeong-ae, let me guide you.”

“Oh, no. Just tell me the location, I can go by myself, there’s no need to bother.”

His eyebrows twitched slightly at my words.

“Since I happened to notice you having trouble while I was also going to drink, there’s no need for you to feel burdened.”

    “Oh… then please.”

He took the lead, and I followed him.

“By the way, nice saber you have.”

As we headed to the third floor, he turned back and asked me.

    “Oh… it’s nothing, don’t worry about it.”

The conversation was cut off by my words.

Silently, the two of us walked towards the bar on the third floor.

When we arrived at the bar on the third floor, he pulled out a chair for me.

    “Please, have a seat.”

    “Thank you.”

As I sat down, he sat next to me.

Resting his chin on his hand, he gazed blankly at the shelves full of bottles of alcohol.

“Since it seems like your first time here, may I recommend a drink for you?”

The man with brown hair spoke to me as I stared at the shelves.

“I don’t mind whether it’s beer, wine, rum, or whiskey.”

I thought about what to drink among the many options.

“Rum? Wine? There doesn’t seem to be any beer… Whiskey?”

The variety of colors and bottle shapes on the shelves made it interesting to look at.

    “Bartender, two curtain calls here.”

The man with brown hair ordered the drinks.

I turned to look at him, curious about the unfamiliar drink name.

“Have you ever tried a cocktail before?”

    “No, never.”

I shook my head in response to his question.

After spending ten years on the battlefield, the only drinks I had were beer, wine, and rum, so I had no idea what a cocktail was.

“The curtain call I ordered is also a type of cocktail.”

He pointed to the bartender with his finger.

“It’s a drink made by mixing various ingredients. It’s easier to see it once than to explain it a hundred times.”

With the subtle lighting and the music flowing from the magical contraption, it all seemed quite sophisticated.

The bartender put various things into the shaker and started shaking vigorously.

Stopping the mixing, the bartender handed the glass to me and the brown-haired man.

The liquid in the glass was swirling like a curtain fluttering.

    “The cost of this drink…”

“It’s fine. It’s on me, so please enjoy.”

As I was about to take out the silver coin wedged between my collarbones, he stopped me.

Even at a glance, it seemed like it was okay to buy expensive drinks for strangers.

    “To your eyes.”

With a rather cringeworthy toast, he drank the drink.

“Thank you, I will enjoy it.”

Feeling a chill from his cheesy comment, I slightly moved away from him and took a sip of the drink.

The drink was sweet, and I couldn’t tell if it was strong or weak.

    “Wow…”

I looked back and forth between the glass and the brown-haired man.

    “It’s sweet, isn’t it?”

“Yes, quite sweet. It’s sweeter than rum. Of course, rum is also very strong and toxic.”

As he spoke, memories of the rum given to me by a sailor when I fought with Blytham on a ship came to mind, and my brow slightly furrowed.

    I finished the cocktail.

    “Anything else?”

Feeling relaxed with the delicious drink, I asked him.

“Ahaha… Of course, let me give you the one I always drink.”

    “Sure.”

At his order, the bartender nodded and quickly made a cocktail for me.

“I drink this one often too. Please try it.”

    “The glass is quite small.”

Although I didn’t like the size of the glass, I followed his suggestion and drank the cocktail in one go.

    “Oh… all at once.”

I don’t know why he reacted like that to a woman drinking this drink, but it seemed fine.

    “One more drink.”

At my request, the bartender poured another cocktail into the glass.

As soon as it was poured, I quickly finished the drink and handed the glass back to the bartender.

    “One more drink.”

The bartender poured another cocktail for me.

This pattern of the bartender making cocktails for me and me drinking them all at once repeated several times.

“Wow… even the strongest drinkers have never seen anyone drink this drink like this…”

The man marveled at me continuously drinking.

“Even though I may look like this, don’t underestimate me. If we were to have a drinking contest at a bar… oh… my head…”

Suddenly drinking so much, my head started to ache.

“Oh, sorry. Anyway, I’ve never been beaten in a drinking contest by anyone!”

Although my head hurt a bit, the feeling of being tipsy from the alcohol made me feel good.

    “Phew… it’s hot.”

I fanned myself and looked to the side.

The man’s face appeared blurry, probably because he drank the alcohol too quickly.

    “I… I’ve never had this happen before… ugh…”

“Is that so? Are you feeling a bit dizzy?”

    I nodded at his words.

My head felt a bit fuzzy, and even the lights on the ceiling started to blur and emit a cross-shaped light.

“Oh… why is this happening suddenly…?”

My eyelids kept closing as if I had been on guard all night, and my head kept nodding.

    “I… I’ve never had this happen before… ugh…”

    “I… I’ve never had this happen before… ugh…”

    “Why is this happening suddenly…?”

Feeling like I was on guard all night, my eyelids kept closing and my head kept nodding.

    “I… I don’t know, I just want to sleep.”

    I collapsed onto the bar.

André, carrying drugs as usual, wandered around Kongkista all night looking for a woman to play with.

The effect of the drug called “Orange Sapphire” that a man gave me today was amazing.

If you give this drug to the other person, the moment they take it, they will do as you command.

Since I had already bought off the bartender at Kongkista, all I had to do was lure a woman I liked to the bar, and the game would be over for that day.

André slowly looked around from the first floor, thinking that if he succeeded, it would be a jackpot, and if he failed, he would just drink a bit and go home.

However, unable to resist his curiosity, he headed towards a slight commotion in the distance.

There, a beautiful woman with platinum hair was kicking a man slowly and deliberately.

“Why! Do! You! Always! Damn! Damn! Why!”

André was taken aback when he heard the vulgar words coming out of the noble lady’s mouth.

    “Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!”

The man being stepped on by the lady’s foot was making strange noises, clearly in pain.

Despite the lady’s violent temper, whether it was the way she carried herself or the fact that she was currently stepping on the man, she seemed appealing due to her beautiful face and body, making her seem like a good candidate for a night of fun with some added medication.

If he liked her, he could even use more drugs and turn her into a plaything.

Of course, taming her violent nature completely would be a challenge, but it seemed worth it.

    “Yeong-ae!”

A man behind her grabbed her shoulder, trying to stop her.

André hadn’t realized she had come with an entourage.

He needed to find a way to separate her from that man and approach her.

André started following her from behind, waiting for an opportunity.

She began playing darts for a while.

Watching her play darts with her entourage from a distance, André sat down at a nearby table.

    “Will you join the game?”

A man at the same table asked André.

“No, I’m just sitting down because my legs hurt from walking around. I’ll leave soon, so don’t worry about me.”

    “Alright then.”

After André’s response, the man nodded and focused on the game.

    “Morbis de La Grange?”

Morbis was approaching her, engaging in what seemed like a friendly conversation.

Who was this ‘Morbis de La Grange’ talking to Yeong-ae? Wasn’t he the one who worked at the highest position in the Elance Treasury when King Ange XIII humiliated the nobles by assigning them menial tasks like ‘King’s exclusive hat handler,’ ‘King’s exclusive shoe handler,’ ‘King’s exclusive pen handler’ and employed bourgeois officials?

If he was on such friendly terms with her, it was a level of intimacy that made him hesitate to touch her carelessly.

André briefly considered giving up, but when he saw her large, swaying hips every time she threw a dart, the fighting spirit deep within him was reignited.

‘As a man, shouldn’t I try to have a taste of a woman like her at least once?’

As André’s mind raced with thoughts, Morbis began the dart match with her.

Even though she covered it with her dress every time she threw a dart, her figure was undeniable… André desired her.

He wanted to hold her in his arms.

What would it feel like to embrace her tightly, bury his face in her chest, and take a deep breath?

André laughed excitedly as he imagined passionately sharing his affection with her all night long.

Before he knew it, the dart match was over, and she started moving alone, leaving her entourage behind.

    ‘This is my chance!’

André silently applauded himself as he got up from his seat and followed her.

She wandered around the first floor, approaching a man playing card games while drinking wine and chatting, before eventually heading up to the second floor.

Meanwhile, at the dartboard, her entourage was still surrounded by people, throwing darts.

    “Idiot.”

André cursed as he climbed up to the second floor, giving himself the opportunity to shine as a genius.

There was only a card table on the second floor, but she continued to move around the walls, searching for something.

Andre decided to approach her pretending it was a coincidence.

The woman who had come closer to Andre was muttering softly, “Alcohol… alcohol…” as she looked around.

    ‘Bingo.’

She was looking for a bar to have a drink.

With a grin, Andre approached her.

“Excuse me, are you looking for the bar?”

Her expression, which had been slightly grimacing, brightened at Andre’s words.

“Yes, I heard it was on the 2nd floor when I was on the 1st floor earlier. But when I actually went to the 2nd floor, I couldn’t see it anywhere.”

    She replied, shaking her head.

“It seems like it’s your first time here. You can get the alcohol on the 3rd floor, not the 2nd floor. It seems like the person who told you got the floors mixed up.”

Andre reached out his hand to her.

    “Yeong-ae, let me guide you.”

    Quickly grab this hand.

You can have the drink you wanted.

And I can have the body I wanted.

Isn’t it a win-win situation for both of us? Hurry, take my hand.

Andre silently prayed like that, waiting for her reaction.

“Oh, no. Just tell me the location, I can go by myself so there’s no need to bother.”

Her response made Andre’s eyebrows twitch slightly.

“Well, I was going to get a drink anyway, so I noticed you were having trouble. You don’t need to feel burdened.”

    “Oh… then, please.”

Finally, when the answer she wanted came out, a smile spread across Andre’s lips.
