The reason I wrote this post was simple.

Just imagine if I had written something simple like [Registered as an adventurer].

Would ordinary people click on such a post?

In a world where countless people die every day, most people wouldn’t see the value in checking this post.

That’s why I had to make the title as exciting as possible, as if I were thrilled to post it on a bulletin board.

As if I knew nothing about the dangerous aspects of being an adventurer, only the romance.

That’s how you stimulate sympathy and get information.

Of course, you could receive information in reality as well, but that was a bit different.

I wasn’t particularly good at talking in real life.

    “Hmm.”

With that thought in mind, I waited for comments while extending my stay at the inn for another week.

That way, I earned a little more money.

    Ka-ching-

With the creaking sound typical of old doors, I arrived in my room.

I had installed alarm and defense magic in my room just in case, but fortunately, there were no signs of them being triggered.

Of course, a mage of a higher level than me could deactivate and reactivate these alarm and defense spells effortlessly… but there was no reason for such a high-level mage to be in Baruk District 3.

    ‘They shouldn’t be here.’

It might be embarrassing to say to others, but I could consider myself a fairly competent mage.

I could even hold an important position in the royal court.

With that thought in mind, I lay on the bed and checked the comments that had piled up.

    [Title: Adventurer Registration Post LOL]

[Content: (Picture) I registered as an adventurer today, any tips would be appreciated]

The content was very polite despite the clickbait title.

Act tough in front, act kind behind, and you’re more likely to be listened to.

L: What the hell, you registered as an adventurer today and you’re trash? You said you were trash, damn it.

    N: Seriously, what a scam.

L: You’re dead if I meet you for real.

L Kootluru: He’s a martial artist, so be careful around the hobgoblins. They get horny and attack when they see martial artists, making it tough.

N: He’s subtly bragging, wants to be cool. He’s a martial artist, so he punches enemies with his fists while having a bow and a sword, and when his hand breaks from hitting too hard, he becomes useless in battle, then hides in a corner until his teammates kill the boss and pick up the rewards.

N Kootluru: What did I do to deserve this, damn it…

N: The martial artist is crying, stop it.

N: The martial artists need a beating.

L Perus: Can I share some tips from my adventurer days?

    “Oh.”

Feeling like the last comment might contain very useful information, I immediately replied.

    N RealTrash: Yes

    And a while later.

A very lengthy comment was posted.

N Perus: First and foremost, if you want to be an adventurer, it’s crucial to entrust your money to the adventurer’s guild. You won’t go bankrupt that way. Deposit your money and withdraw only what you need when necessary to save money. Also, as mentioned before, be cautious of hobgoblins. They especially target magic users like you and martial artists. They drain your energy to become stronger. Lastly, the most important thing to be cautious of is other adventurers. They’re always ready to strike from behind. Of course, there are measures in place to prevent that, but just in case.

    “Oh… quite the long-winded one.”

Although I had asked for tips, I couldn’t help but think how nice it would have been if the comment had been split up into smaller ones. But I didn’t leave such a comment.

From my perspective, I was grateful for the detailed response.

With such thoughts in mind, this time I searched for the post of the user ‘폭렬은신이야’.

I was curious if there were any posts written.

I was also curious about the current status of my mentor.

However, I couldn’t find any posts written by them.

    “Sigh.”

    It was truly disappointing.

If there were any posts written, I could have found out what they have been up to these days.

Of course, I could contact them personally.

But if there were no posts on the gallery, there was no way to send an alert.

That’s why I haven’t been able to contact them until now.

    “Hmm.”

With that thought in mind, I checked the posts.

I wondered how many posts I had checked, and I was starting to feel tired.

So, I decided to check just one more post before going to bed.

    [Title: Today’s research…jpg]

    [Content: (Photo) Today’s research ㅁㅌㅊ?]

폭렬은신이야: If you don’t want to die, come out quickly. We’re all waiting for you.

불법죽어라: Oh, I’m almost done ㄱㄷㄱㄷ

폭렬은신이야: Are you not aware that you’ve repeated that phrase over five times already?

불법죽어라: Hehe.. Please wait a little longer

폭렬은신이야: Ugh, this is really annoying

    불법죽어라: (╹3╹)

폭렬은신이야: If you don’t come out within 10 minutes, I’ll just share your location and leave ㅅㄱ

    “Huh?”

I unexpectedly found my mentor in a place I hadn’t thought of.

They were using a different tone than when talking to me.

‘Come to think of it, they used that tone on the gallery.’

It seemed like Sylvia was separating their online self from their real self.

    A very appropriate attitude.

There’s no need to get too immersed in the online world.

It’s best to just use it for ‘fun’.

In that sense, Sylvia’s attitude towards using the gallery was very commendable.

I’ve seen people lose their lives over getting too involved in online activities.

    Especially among soldiers.

They found it hard to make ends meet, so they joined the military, only to foolishly leak military secrets.

Well, it wasn’t such a serious leak, but just the fact that they leaked something led to a photo of their severed head being posted on the gallery.

‘So the military is a bit…’

With that thought in mind, I was about to leave a comment-

    “Tsk.”

    I stopped.

    I hadn’t heard Sylvia’s response yet.

If I left a comment here, Sylvia would be notified, but ‘불법죽어라’ would also be notified.

    That’s why I couldn’t leave a comment.

I didn’t want to risk any repercussions for revealing that I have a disciple.

Well… I didn’t think anything bad would happen, but it was better to be cautious.

I knew better than anyone that Sylvia wasn’t someone to mess with.

With that thought in mind, I took out a book from my pocket.

    Advanced Magic I

    The book was simply written.

But I knew it wasn’t as simple as the title suggested.

After all, the title was ‘Advanced’ Magic.

It was bound to be difficult.

“Hmm… I could have started this sooner.”

Considering my level, I could have started with advanced magic sooner, but for some reason, Sylvia kept insisting on reviewing the basics.

I had no reason to refuse.

Back then, I just didn’t feel like studying.

Of course, I still didn’t feel like studying now.

With that thought in mind, I started reading the first volume of Advanced Magic.

    “Oh… this is the content.”

The content of Advanced Magic I was very simple.

    But simple yet challenging.

While basic magic required innate talent, advanced magic required simple memorization.

They said you needed a great mind to use high-level magic.

There was a reason why Sylvia said that.

“Hmm… is this how it’s done.”

Creating a spell formula that spanned two pages, and infusing mana into that formula.

With that, the wound scratched on the branch quickly healed.

Perhaps this is the potion called ‘Heal.’

The priests were people who specialized in studying and researching this type of potion.

Therefore, theoretically, a wizard with a sharp mind could also take on the role of a priest.

Of course, the methods were different.

And so, I delved into magic all night.

    *

    “Ah, stayed up all night.”

Honestly, I wasn’t particularly interested in magic.

    The reason was simple.

I could survive with just this much.

    But now, things are different.

The Demon King has been resurrected, so now I need to prepare as well.

To do that, I must master both of the books Sylvia left me.

    “..It doesn’t seem particularly difficult.”

To others, it might seem like boasting, but from my perspective, it didn’t seem that difficult.

    The basics were actually harder.

If the basics felt vague, then the advanced felt like cramming information into my head.

With that in mind, I locked myself in my room for three days, diligently eating and drinking while successfully mastering the basics and advanced aspects of magic.

I felt like I had reached a new level.

At this point, I could probably be considered weaker than a grand wizard.

With that thought, I stepped outside.

It seemed like it was time for a shower after a long time.
