by adminI felt truly wronged.
Others don’t really know about the speed at which people learn magic.
So, I simply asked about the speed of learning the first volume of basic magic, but to be called pathetic.
It was unbelievable, so I wrote another post.
[Author: SeriouslyPathetic]
[Title: Tell me for real, how good or bad am I at this?]
[Content: It’s my first time learning magic, so I don’t know how good or bad I am.]
As soon as I posted this, comments started pouring in.
IllegalDeath: If you really don’t know, I can tell you?
“Oh.”
The person famous as a magician in the gallery.
So, I immediately replied.
SeriouslyPathetic: Yeah, please tell me.
Although that person frequents the gallery, it’s rare for them to reply, so I didn’t have many opportunities to ask unless it was a moment like this.
Of course, I could have asked Sylvia, but… that felt a bit embarrassing.
Asking how good I am seemed a bit much.
With those thoughts in mind, I waited for the reply.
And after a while.
IllegalDeath: Are you a freaking genius?
A comment was posted.
And the moment I read that comment, I felt a bit excited.
To think I was a genius.
I had been feeling down about not having any talents since coming to this world, but now I had talent in magic.
It made me feel like I had become someone great.
Not just a genius, but a freaking genius.
And not just a freaking genius, but a freaking genius of the highest order.
A certified genius by IllegalDeath, the famous magician in the gallery.
I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride.
But then, another comment came in.
ExplosiveDivinity: Grow up.
“Gasp.”
They must have been watching the gallery.
Otherwise, there was no way they could reply so quickly.
So, I went to bed right away.
I had said to grow up, but if I showed that I was still awake, I felt like I would be scolded.
With that thought, I closed my eyes.

And so, the next day arrived, the day to learn the second volume of basic magic.
Honestly, just by looking at it in the morning, I had already finished everything in the second volume, so I didn’t really feel like studying.
But what can you do, if you have to criticize, you have to.
With that thought, I got up, took a shower, and went downstairs to the first floor.
There, I saw Sylvia eating.
“Oh, hello.”
“Mm.”
Sylvia seemed to have already finished her meal, as she was humming with something in her mouth.
It was probably a honey candy.
I remember seeing her really liking it last time.
She definitely seemed to have a lot of money.
To casually eat a candy worth ten thousand won.
Thinking that the way of life was different, I dipped the bread in the soup in front of me, and as I was about to eat it, Sylvia, who was staring at me with a puzzled look, asked, “Are you going to order something?”
Feeling a bit stung, I asked, and Sylvia shook her head awkwardly.
And so, the uncomfortable meal began.
As I mechanically ate the bread, not knowing if it was going into my nose or mouth, I remembered something.
So this time, I decided to ask Sylvia.
“Oh, did you not sleep last night?”
“Oh.”
“That’s why you replied to my post so quickly.”
“I sometimes check the gallery for useful information, so I occasionally go in to check.”
Sylvia explained about the useful aspects of the gallery without me even asking.
She seemed to not want to reveal the fact that she frequents the gallery.
But it wasn’t really surprising.
I knew that Sylvia used to flood the gallery with her daily posts.
Knowing that, Sylvia seemed a bit cute to me.
Well, I couldn’t pat Sylvia on the head, so I just smiled.
“Then I’ll go upstairs. Looks like you’ve finished your meal.”
“Oh, okay.”
Silvia seemed to be waiting for me to climb up with her, as she wasn’t going up alone.
I tried to slack off a bit by eating and browsing my phone in the bathroom after having my meal.
Feeling a bit disappointed, I went up to the third-floor study room to start studying.
Today’s study session seemed quite boring.
Basics of Magic II.
Honestly, it wasn’t that difficult.
But it couldn’t be called easy either.
If it was easy, they would probably give us something even harder.
So, I studied the Basics of Magic II next to Silvia.
And then.
“Hmm, I’m a bit hungry. Do you want anything to eat? I’ll go get it from the village.”
Silvia glanced at her stomach briefly and then looked at me.
“…Then just get me a Tanghulu.”
“Oh, okay.”
Honestly, I still couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that Tanghulu existed in this world.
Of course, there might be Tanghulu in China.
‘Do they have it?’
With that thought in mind, I grabbed some money and headed back to Baroque Zone 3.
The mansion was nice, but it was inconvenient to have to come back and forth every time I wanted to buy something.
With that thought in mind, I arrived at the door of Baroque Zone 3.
And there was the guard, wearing the same expression as always.
Maybe I could act like I knew him if I came a few more times.
With that thought in mind, I took off my robe and started the security check.
Of course, nothing was found.
“Go ahead.”
“Ah, thank you.”
I passed through the door and looked at the map to head to the Tanghulu shop.
The Tanghulu shop, which served sugary fruits, was located in a pretty expensive area.
The location was to the left of Amelia’s general store.
“Back here again.”
I still remembered when my hand swelled up from the iron bead last time.
Hopefully, nothing strange would happen this time – I thought as I entered the Tanghulu shop.
It was quite cool inside.
Perhaps because it was a high-end food shop, they maintained the coolness with magic.
Can’t let the sugar melt.
With that thought in mind, I placed my order.
“Can I have a Rafchimon, please?”
Rafchimon was a fruit from this world.
It was a mix of apple and pineapple, you could say.
It was quite a tasty fruit.
“Here you go.”
“Ah, thank you.”
I packed the Tanghulu and left the shop.
To prevent the Tanghulu from melting, I needed to use an ice magic spell.
So, I infused mana into the ice magic spell.
And then –
Whoosh –
The bag containing the Tanghulu became very cold.
It was so cold that it could freeze in an instant, but I adjusted the spell a bit, so that’s why it happened.
If I hadn’t adjusted it, would the Tanghulu have frozen right away?
With that thought in mind, I carried the Tanghulu and left the village, looking around.
I was always in Lucifelton, so the scenery of Baroque was quite unfamiliar to me.
I guess it could be considered a good experience.
There were kids playing soccer today, and there were also people selling fruits.
Well, the scenery in Lucifelton was somewhat similar, but the characteristic of Baroque was that there were more thieves stealing in between.
And then.
I saw some kids using the classic method of distracting the fruit seller and stealing fruits right in front of him.
Chasing them would leave the fruits on the counter vulnerable to theft.
There was a reason why the classic method still worked.
Because it worked well.
I used to do that kind of thing in the past and got caught, ending up getting beaten by the guards until my head was bleeding.
It could be considered a memory.
With that thought in mind, I approached the fruit seller trying to catch the kid who stole the fruit and handed him some money.
“They’re still just kids. Please take this as a little compensation.”
“…Alright.”
The fruit seller was quite calm.
He calmly took out a club from his right hand without scolding the kids who stole.
Perhaps if I had been hit by that club, my head would have been smashed in.
Even though thoughts of the past came to mind, I couldn’t just leave things as they were.
The physical difference between a child and an adult is very large.
That’s why if I hadn’t helped, their heads would have been smashed in.
That time when I did a good deed and proudly turned my back.
Thwack!
The kids who had stolen fruit earlier were now running off with my money pouch.
Just so you know, there were 24 gold coins in that pouch.
So those little bastards stole 240,000 won.
The moment I realized that-
I poured mana into the spell of Flame Burst.
And shortly after.
Whoosh!
The place where the beggars were running away from and the place where they were standing both went up in flames.
Naturally, the beggars who were running away were now writhing on the ground.
They wouldn’t have died from that.
I adjusted the firepower.
But the more I thought about it, the more annoyed I became.
“Ugh, so annoying.”
After trying to show kindness to the fruit vendor by giving him money, only for him to steal the pouch with the money in it and run away, I felt irritated. I approached the beggars who were lying on the ground and used my enhanced strength spell to feed them honeyed bread one by one.
And then, at that moment.
Suddenly, the thought of Tanghuru’s existence came to mind.
“…Oh. Insane.”
Tanghuru had melted away to the point where his original form was unrecognizable.
