Every time I took a step, my footsteps echoed in the hallway.

I checked the hospital room door carefully to see if it was open, but fortunately there were no signs of anything unusual yet.

The moment I thought, how great it would be if nothing happened and just passed by like this, I heard the sound of something made of metal falling behind me.

When I forced my tense body to move and look back, what I saw was the famous cutter knife that I used usefully at school.

    “Why is this here..”

The hallway was filled with all kinds of medical equipment, but most of it was corroded or rusted. However, the cutter knife, which I had no idea where it had just fallen from, looked as good as new.

For some reason, I wanted to get closer and touch it, but as someone who has watched many horror movies and cartoons, I knew that such an action would not be helpful at all.

I resisted the temptation and turned to head back to the elevator.

    “……”

The moment I turned around, I made eye contact with a man in his mid-30s who was looking at me. The man wearing a hospital gown had a thick rope around his neck, his tongue sticking out, and his head seemed like it was about to burst with blood, as if he had been hanged.

The man, who made eye contact with me but did nothing, passed me by and entered the open hospital room.

I was in big trouble. The thought filled my head. The moment I quickly closed my eyes and blocked my ears as instructed, I was standing in the middle of the hospital room with the door closed.

I ran towards the door and tried to open it, but it still wouldn’t open. Should I follow the rules now? Or, since the situation with the rules has already passed, should I escape on my own? These two thoughts were making my mind anxious.

In the end, when I was about to follow the rules that had saved and helped me so many times, I heard someone talking behind me.

    “My daughter…you killed my daughter!!”

When I turned around, I saw a woman who looked like a student and a middle-aged woman wearing what appeared to be high-end luxury goods arguing with each other. No, it wasn’t an argument, it was more like a one-sided middle-aged woman yelling.

“My precious and beautiful daughter… Her grades are good, so the only thing left to do is go to a good college and succeed!! Because of a scum like you…”

After hearing the middle-aged woman’s words, the woman raised the corners of her mouth and immediately laughed out loud as she left the hospital room.

The middle-aged woman was seen to hesitate for a moment, as if she was overwhelmed by the sight of the woman laughing so loudly that it almost made her crazy.

“Wha…what’s so funny!!! Are you ignoring me now!?”

However, the middle-aged woman seemed to get even more angry, so she raised her hand and slapped the laughing woman’s cheek so loudly that it echoed in the hospital room.

The woman who was laughing so cutely stopped laughing the moment she was slapped and glared at the middle-aged woman with an expressionless expression.

The moment the middle-aged woman raised her hand again and was about to slap the woman’s cheek, a sinister and alluring voice was heard.

    “You also crossed the line?”

Woman… As soon as Arin finished speaking, the door that had been closed behind me opened and a nurse and a police officer entered the room. The two people who passed me as if they couldn’t even see my presence approached the middle-aged woman and repeatedly told her to calm down.

No matter how the situation unfolded, I realized that this was my best chance to escape the hospital room, so I went out through the open door. No – I tried to leave.

Standing before my eyes was O Arin, the woman who had been lying on the patient bed just a moment ago.

Long, unkempt black hair and unfocused black eyes. It was clearly a beautiful girl, but the chill I felt as soon as I met her was warning me that this girl was definitely not an ordinary person.

O-Arin, who was staring at my frozen face without saying anything, circled around me and checked my appearance in general.

After finishing the confirmation, O-Arin stood in front of me again and came closer, bringing her face close enough for our lips to meet.

O Arin’s unfocused eyes met endlessly. Even though it was clear that the unfocused eyes were looking at me, it seemed like I was looking at endless darkness because nothing was illuminated.

How much time had passed? O Arin, who continued to make eye contact with me, smiled slightly and covered my ears with both hands.

I felt a soft hand on my ear, and I felt my vision getting darker and my eyelids getting heavier. Eventually, my eyelids became unbearable and heavy, so I closed my eyes.

Every time I took a step, my footsteps echoed in the hallway. As I was walking carefully, I had barely walked for a while when I heard the sound of something falling behind me.

But–ignoring that sound, I closed my eyes, covered my ears, and crouched in place.

As I crouched down, I heard the sound of someone’s footsteps.

Even though I was covering my ears, I could clearly hear the sound of footsteps circling around where I was crouching.

How much time had passed? Soon the sound of footsteps disappeared and the sound of the door closing was heard. Realizing that the crisis had passed, I stood up with a sigh of relief.

And as soon as I woke up, I realized. How did I know about this situation?

I entered the 3rd floor hallway… it must have been my first time walking down this hallway, but for some reason, my body acted naturally as if the situation just before had happened to me before.

I checked the rulebook to see if any rules I didn’t know about had been added, but the rulebook remained unchanged. In the end, I realized that no matter how much I thought about it, there was no solution, so I walked down the hallway with a feeling of discomfort.

Nothing happened after that. Arriving safely in front of the elevator, I pressed the up button to call the elevator and waited anxiously for the elevator to come up in good condition.

And then – the elevator finally arrived, the doors opened, and I went inside the elevator.

    “Damn bitch…”

No matter how much I thought about it, my anger did not go away. Even though I went to the hospital and slapped the face of the bitch who killed my daughter, the police, who knew nothing, said there was no evidence and how could it make sense to kill someone with a curse, and instead tried to accuse me of being an assaulter.

Both the police and the doctor ignored me, but I was convinced that she was the one who killed my daughter.

My daughter was never the type of person to choose something like suicide and had no reason to do so. Furthermore, I am sorry that the contents of the will left behind have been bothering Ms. O Arin – I couldn’t believe it even more.

However, even if I want to reveal the wrongful death of my daughter, the country’s public power is of no help.

I’m not the type of person to believe in superstitions, but what I needed most at this point was a shaman who was reputed to be brave.

    “What…what did you bring!!”

    “Ha? What should I bring?”

    “Get out right now!!”

“I’m in a dirty mood so I’m leaving. I’m leaving! The whole thing about being brave was just a rumor!!”

How many times have we already been turned away at the door? Even if I searched for a brave shaman, most of them were scared as soon as they saw me and would not even listen to my story.

Is it possible that my daughter’s unfair death cannot be resolved in the end? I am becoming more and more anxious. Slowly, the drive to the last remaining famous shaman I recognized began to feel difficult.

What should I do if I get kicked out of the door by this person as well? Who should relieve my daughter of her sorrow…? With various thoughts going through my head, I increased the speed of the car.

The place where the last remaining shaman was located was a thatched house that looked like something out of an old historical drama. Even when I asked if there was anyone outside, no one answered.

Still, just in case, I went up to the floor and opened the door, and inside I saw an old man with wrinkles sitting in a shaman’s uniform.

As soon as the old man saw me, his eyes lit up and he said:

“Cluck…I was bewitched, I was bewitched.”

My expectations, which had been slowly fading, grew slightly as I saw a completely different reaction from the shamans I had received so far. Unlike other fake shamans, there was strong power in the old man’s voice.

“Um, teacher…can you understand my situation?”

After hearing my words, the shaman looked at my whole body with magical eyes and took out an amulet from her pocket with her wrinkled hands.

However, the amulet that the shaman took out burned black as soon as it was brought before my eyes.

“Did you see it? You are not in a normal situation right now. I was taken to a strange place – I was possessed by a dangerous being.”

“Yes? Are you being dragged away?”

“Listen to me carefully. The fact that you are thinking of me right now is absolutely not a coincidence. Calm down, close your eyes, and cover your ears. No matter what sounds you hear or what sights you see – everything is ignored.”

The shaman stood up. The shaman with a bent waist was small in stature, but the energy radiating from his body was unusual.

“No matter how painful it is, no matter how painful it is – never react. What you went through is not what you should go through.”

    “Then my daughter…”

“Daughter? Hey… would you please take a look at this?”

The shaman took out a small purple hand mirror and reflected it at me. The image of myself reflected in the mirror was not that of an elegant middle-aged woman, but that of a young-looking man.

When I came to my senses – I was standing in a place that appeared to be a classroom. As I looked around, I saw several people standing there who appeared to be women with faces without facial features.

    “@&@[!*$#)!*$=*’×)=*#*#%×)?”

There was clearly no mouth, but a voice could be heard listing words whose meanings were unknown. As I stood still without understanding, something resembling a woman came up to me, grabbed my arm, and threw me into the cleaning tool box behind me.

The women’s laughter was heard and the door to the cleaning tool box closed. I tried to open the door with my hand, but for some reason the toolbox door wouldn’t budge.

Trapped in the dark, unable to see anything, I became increasingly anxious. Strangely enough, the cleaning tool box did not move even though I struggled to get out.

I’m starting to feel more and more out of breath, and my heart is becoming tight with fear. The fear of being trapped in a dark, narrow place and not being able to do anything was greater than I could imagine, and it was eating away at me more and more.

    “Please….help me…”

As I mumbled with tears in my eyes, the tightly closed door opened and a girl with long black hair stood in front of me.
