[Personal Declaration) But you guys need to know this;;]

The different species chatting here in the community are relatively docile, but there are plenty of aggressive ones too.

I’ve been keeping an eye on the community for a few days, and it seems like these different species are all influenced by this thing called ‘Transmission.’

So, it means that even those with inherently vicious or fierce natures exist among them.

    What does that mean?

It means that if you approach out of curiosity, you could end up dead, yeah.

I saw a bear-man tearing through steel plates on the street the other day, and just thinking that plate could have been me gave me chills.

    Seriously, be careful.

It hasn’t even been six days since things started unfolding, and there have been so many incidents.

I really hope they enact special laws for these different species soon.

    – It’s seriously scary. When a muscle-bound orc passed by growling, my legs turned to jelly…

    – Incidents happening is somewhat inevitable. Power exists, so who wouldn’t try to use it, right? Haha

    – But if it’s happening at a rate of one in a thousand, why not gather them all in one area? It would make management much easier, wouldn’t it?

    – You idiot, do you think that would work? Don’t bring solutions from the Joseon era.

    – These different species better cooperate. It’s a relief if no terror incidents occur, seriously.

    – Are there any species we should be cautious of? I’d prefer to avoid such species if possible.

    – For now, pixies and vampires shouldn’t be a concern, right? I heard pixies are filming “Man vs. Wild” every day, and vampires apparently hate Koreans because of the smell of garlic?

    – Seriously, these damn idiotic species haha

In summary, the situation was as follows:

Due to a large-scale incident involving species mutation in the upstairs apartment of my studio, a person turned into a dragon.

Just like any other day, while playing a game about diseases, I encountered someone cheating.

I was harassed throughout the game, even asked about my parents’ well-being.

Unable to contain my anger after witnessing this, I unintentionally breathed fire, engulfing the studio in flames.

…How did I find out about this?

    Well.

    “I’m sorry… I’m really sorry… Sniff…”

I came to seek forgiveness from those who found themselves in a situation similar to mine.

According to legend, a single prideful dragon is more formidable than any other species.

Seeing such a proud species humbly apologizing, it didn’t seem inherently evil.

But then, what can you do when you can’t control your anger and end up setting someone else’s precious studio ablaze?

Whatever the case, the girl squeezing juice out of fruits in front of me was nothing more than a nuisance in my eyes.

    “Sigh.”

Although I wanted to curse her out of frustration, unfortunately, I couldn’t afford to do so.

    Six hours until sunrise.

Within that time, I needed to find a place to hide my body.

I don’t want to burn under the sunlight.

“First, give me your contact information.”

    “Y-yes?”

“You won’t compensate for the damages? Do you seriously think that crying and admitting fault will resolve everything?”

“T-that’s not true! H-here… Here’s my contact information.”

“I’ll contact you soon, so wait for my call. If you don’t pick up, it will truly be the end.”

After leaving a warning, I gazed at the night sky and let out a long sigh.

    “Ahh…”

Why is it that ever since I transformed into this damn species, there hasn’t been a day without sighs?

Just when I thought I could relax a bit after extinguishing the urgent fire, another pressing matter arises, damn it.

“Ugh, I crave some strong liquor.”

I’m not particularly fond of alcohol, but facing continuous hardships, I longed to get drunk.

…Should I just buy some booze and crash at a friend’s place?

Having been the one constantly listening to complaints, it seemed like it was finally my turn to vent.

“…How about crashing at their place for a few days?”

Considering the urgent need to find a hiding spot, it didn’t seem like a bad idea.

Since a few of my friends attend the same university, their places are all nearby.

Even though it’s online classes, one might ask if crashing at a friend’s place is necessary and if it wouldn’t be bothersome.

Regarding the former, I could say, “I’m not sure how things will turn out.”

Deciding to take online classes until detailed instructions are provided.

Depending on how the guidelines unfold, things could get complicated, so I needed to find a place to crash until the end of this semester.

    As for the latter…

Given that my friends have crashed at my place many times, well, there isn’t much to say.

They’d drop by unannounced, share a drink, pour out their hearts, then crash and leave the next morning.

“If they’re not invited, they won’t come in. They’ll threaten to break down the door and cry in front of it.”

If not welcomed inside, they’d probably stage a protest outside the house.

Determined, I began searching for a friend who would take care of my sleeping arrangements.

The first person that came to mind was Hye-eun, who had helped me out a few days ago.

He came without hesitation when I called him late at night.

Explaining the situation and asking for help might make him grumble, but he’d likely still help.

However, I decided to put Hye-eun’s place as a second option.

If the landlord was an ordinary person, it would be fine, but now they were like an angel.

I felt suffocated when they visited my place a few days ago.

If a brief visit felt overwhelming, how would it be to stay longer?

“…I’ll think about it carefully. Probably not a good idea.”

While there was a chance it could work out, I wasn’t willing to gamble with my life.

So, I turned to other friends’ places.

“One is nice but has a small place, the other often argues but has a bigger place… Hmm.”

    The decision didn’t take long.

Having experienced both friends’ places, I knew which one would be more comfortable.

If I’m going to spend a few days, why not choose the more comfortable option?

After making up my mind, I immediately contacted Toodle.

    “[Dude, I’m screwed.]”

    “Check this out.”

(Attached photo of a cozy room)

[Where did my room disappear to…?]

Seems like Toodle was taking a break from work; he replied shortly after I messaged him.

    [??????????]

“What’s up? What’s going on exactly?”

“More importantly, where are you sleeping tonight?”

You can sleep at your place.

Muttering to myself, I sent another message to Toodle.

“I’m sorry, but can I crash at your place for a few days?”

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, I can’t go to Hye-eun and Jung-hyun’s places.”

    [Huh?]

Please let me stay. Your place is the most convenient in every way.

Did I wait anxiously while fervently praying in my heart?

Fortunately, Toodle allowed me to crash at his place for a few days.

“Just go in and take a nap for now.”

“Let’s talk about it tomorrow morning.”

Leaving a thank you message, I hurried towards his place.

    —–

“…Life can be quite spectacular indeed.”

A personal message from Jiwoo after a long time.

Seeing that he seemed okay with me staying for a few days, the boss approached me with a concerned look.

“What’s wrong? You don’t look too good.”

“Oh, I’m sorry, boss. Just dealing with some issues with a friend.”

“Hmm, what could have happened to make our always cheerful Jaehyuk look so serious?”

“It’s nothing much. Just because there was an issue with my studio apartment, I’ll be staying at my place for a few days.”

    “Oh, really?”

As if to say it was nothing significant, the worried expression on the boss’s face quickly turned mischievous.

…I wonder what he’s trying to say with that look.

It seemed like every time he made that expression, he had asked a rather awkward question.

Meeting his cautious gaze, the boss twinkled his eyes and threw a question my way.

“Is it a guy? Or a girl?”

“A guy. Why, are you worried I might have something going on with him if it were a girl?”

“That could be possible! Usually, friendships tend to continue…”

“Don’t say such dreadful things. Friends are just friends, sir.”

Thinking back to the lewd female friend who always made sexual jokes without hesitation, my head involuntarily shook.

A guy who would make anyone embarrassed. To think of continuing with him…

    “Ugh…”

Just imagining it made me feel nauseous.

I’d rather not get married at all.

As I tried to ignore the boss’s nonsensical ramblings and start washing the dishes, he took off my rubber gloves and spoke in a serious tone.

“You should go now. There aren’t many customers in the bar tonight, and you don’t seem fit to work either.”

“…Do I really look that serious?”

“Yes, you seem completely out of it. Haven’t I always said? What happens when a person is not in the right state?”

    “…They’re bound to make mistakes.”

“Exactly! Don’t stay and make mistakes for no reason; just go home, part-timer. You know you’ll lose your wages if you mess up, right?”

    “Yes.”

At the boss’s gentle urging, I quickly finished cleaning up and started heading back to my studio apartment.

An early finish for a change.

Increasing my walking pace, I speculated about what ‘unavoidable circumstances’ Jiwoo had mentioned.

What could those ‘unavoidable circumstances’ be that made Hyeun or Junghyun ask me instead of Jiwoo?

Asking me for a favor must have been quite unpleasant for Jiwoo as well.

“…Did they have a fight? But no, considering their personalities, they rarely clash with Hyeun or Junghyun.”

If there were clashes, it would be with me, not with others. Hyeun tends to tire out before clashing, given her high energy, and Junghyun is too kind to even consider a clash.

“If it wasn’t a fight, then what could it be? I really can’t fathom it.”

Lost in various speculations, I soon arrived at the door of my studio apartment.

Deciding to go inside and find the answers myself, I energetically pushed open the door.

“Six thousand seven hundred thirty… Six thousand seven hundred thirty-four… When will this ever end… Ugh…”

Instead of a well-built hunk, I saw a woman meticulously counting each grain of rice scattered around.

What on earth is this lunatic doing?

    Seriously.
