On the first day of waking up like that.

    The bed was very cozy.

To the point where I wanted to keep lying down.

But I had made a promise with Silvia.

    To learn magic.

“..I don’t seem to have any talent for it.”

I heard that those with talent can manifest magic even without learning it.

I didn’t seem to be on that side at all.

I had tried to use magic occasionally since coming to this world, but nothing worked.

So I had given up on the dream of magic, but yesterday I received a proposal, not a threat, to become a disciple.

So I decided to start learning magic today.

    “Ah, it’s annoying.”

    I never really liked studying.

Of course, I did well on exams without studying, but being good at studying and liking it were very different things.

Even if you have a head that can memorize everything just by reading a book once, if you never open the book, there’s no way.

Of course, I didn’t do such a stupid thing, but that’s the point of the example.

With those thoughts in mind, I went to the research lab to knock on the door.

    Knock.

I always knock on the door calmly at first.

When I knock calmly, the door opens slowly.

    Creak-

With the sound of the old door opening, Silvia, who was sitting at the desk doing research, appeared.

Silvia glanced at me, then set aside her research and used magic.

Suddenly, a book from the corner flew in front of me.

“Read that and memorize it. If you don’t know something, ask me. I’ll be doing research.”

“But may I ask what research you’re doing?”

I asked as politely as possible.

I don’t know how much older she is, but she seems much older.

It’s probably right to be polite.

When I asked, Silvia replied briefly as if she was annoyed.

    “Dimensional magic.”

    I could tell from that.

She wants to go back to Korea.

But I didn’t particularly want to.

Of course, when I was a beggar, I wanted to go back home… but now I’m provided with food and shelter, so is there a need for that?

With those thoughts in mind, I asked again.

“If it’s dimensional magic, are you trying to go back to Korea?”

“Yeah. It’s too boring here. Can’t even play games.”

“Why not make a game with magic?”

When I said that, Silvia looked at me with a very pitiful look.

“…If that’s possible, your brain must be beyond human level. Then it might be possible.”

    “Oh, I see.”

If I asked more here, it might seem like I was picking a fight for no reason, so I decided to stop.

Then I pulled out a chair and went to the corner.

I didn’t want to disturb Silvia while she was doing research.

The research lab was so big that just going to the corner could put me far away.

    But then.

    Whoosh-

Silvia used magic to pull me and the chair over to her.

“Sit here. Ask me if you don’t know something.”

    “Oh, okay.”

I felt like I couldn’t concentrate if the teacher was watching me.

That’s how I felt right now.

Like I had done something wrong, didn’t understand, and felt that way.

Feeling that way, I slowly checked the cover of the book.

    [ Basics of Magic Ⅰ ]

It seemed to be a book distributed to magicians from the tower.

In my opinion, Silvia didn’t seem to have enough time to write something like this.

With that thought, I slowly read the book.

The book had a table of contents.

    Ⅰ. Wind

    Ⅱ. Water

    Ⅲ. Fire

    Ⅳ. Earth

    “Oh, it’s already annoying.”

Just looking at the table of contents was annoying.

So I decided to read it slowly.

    While doing other things.

Glancing at Silvia, I turned on the gallery.

    There were many writings.

    [Today’s Saint Milk Jugs…jpg][13]

“Why are these necromancers such fucking assholes?”

“I really want to kill those bastards at Matap.”

“Suddenly, I feel like I’m a coward for not killing that asshole professor.”

Unable to bear the posts, I clicked on the first one.

[Author: The Assassin of this Era]

    [Title: Today’s Holy Maiden’s Cleavage…jpg]

[Content: (A picture of a girl with pink hair looking at the monitor and successfully fishing)]

    “Ah.”

    “Hmm?”

“Oh, it’s nothing, I just felt like I knew something all of a sudden.”

    “Hmm.”

I was drawn in by the title, but it seemed like a mistake.

There were probably curse words in the comments.

With that thought in mind, I checked the comments.

L: Show us your cleavage, holy maiden.

    N: Seriously.

    N: What is this…

L: If you don’t show your cleavage, I’ll just kill myself.

    N: What the hell, just…

    N: Please just commit suicide.

    L: Cleavage, right? Cleavage, right?

    N: Cleavage, right?

    N: Cleavage, right?

    N: Cleavage, right?

    N: Cleavage, right?

    N: Cleavage, right?

    N: Cleavage, right?

The Assassin of this Era: Stop it, you bastards.

There were many trolls, but not all of them were active in the gallery.

    The reason was simple.

Their lives in reality were busy.

Mages were busy researching magic, farmers were busy farming, and adventurers were busy adventuring.

Maybe martial artists didn’t spend much time in the gallery.

Other than occasionally wandering around the neighborhood and getting into fights, they didn’t have much else to do.

It could be seen as a slight, but it was a simple fact.

With that thought in mind, I clicked on the next post that caught my interest.

‘I should study just by looking at this.’

If I kept browsing the gallery, I might get caught.

So I decided to read just one more post.

    [Author: Unfaithfulness is a Sin]

[Title: Why are these necromancers such fucking assholes?]

[Content: They’re all crazy bastards who engage in human trafficking.]

    L: It’s because that’s their job.

Unfaithfulness is a Sin: That’s just an excuse.

N: What do you want me to do?

The Assassin of this Era: I have a necromancer hentai manga, will you trade it for two bottles of holy water?

    Unfaithfulness is a Sin: …Leave a comment.

The Assassin of this Era: Okay.

    ‘What is this guy doing?’

Every time he tries to establish a concept, he fails to do it properly, and he easily succumbs to temptation without making any effort to win.

By the way, I was a little curious about the necromancer hentai manga.

Necromancers are usually dark and busty… but enough of those useless thoughts.

From then on, I started studying.

Since I had already learned magic, I felt like I should at least know the basics.

With that thought in mind, I read the first chapter.

    ‘…Hmm.’

Honestly, it was a bit easy.

    I understand what they’re saying.

It must be because it’s just the basics.

If even the basics are difficult, there wouldn’t be anyone trying to enter.

With that thought in mind, I read a post that explained wind in detail.

How much time had passed like that?

    Tick tock.

    Sigh.

In the research lab where the lights were on at night, the only sounds were the flipping of pages and the rustling of paper.

Maybe Sylvia wasn’t looking at the gallery either.

    “Ah, I’m done…”

I don’t know how much time had passed, but I finally finished reading the book.

    I felt proud of myself.

As I said that and looked to the side, Sylvia sneakily took my book.

Then she looked at me intently and said, “Tell me the formula needed to create a fireball.”

    “Oh, that’s-”

The basics of magic were just that – basic.

There were only weak spells like fireballs.

So, it was easy to answer.

After answering smoothly like that, a little while later.

“Hmm… then let’s try the Yeompung potion.”

“But that wasn’t in the book?”

“Just, let’s create it by applying what we’ve learned.”

    “Um… then like this-”

By applying it, the Yeompung potion was created.

And suddenly, the Yeompung potion activated.

    Whoosh-

The book was engulfed in flames.

“Uh… I didn’t mean to do that on purpose.”

“..How did only the book catch on fire.”

    It really wasn’t intentional.

I can’t blame it on the sky, but.

    And a little while later.

“Alright, let’s take the test again.”

Using magic to restore the book, Sylvia put up a barrier on it and started the test.

How much time had passed like that.

    Finally, the test was over.

“Okay, you passed. Now take the book and study even while you sleep.”

“But I can’t study while sleeping?”

    When I said that-

Sylvia struck my head hard with the wooden stick that was next to her.

    “Is the disciple talking back…?”

    “Ah, I’m sorry.”

On the day I mastered the basics of Magic Ⅰ in just one day.

    I started learning Magic Ⅱ.

    ‘Ugh… I really hate studying.’

    That was my honest feeling.

Today, I learned the basics of Magic Ⅰ, so I learned the basic magic.

It wasn’t too difficult to manipulate mana using potions, so it wasn’t that difficult.

But Magic Ⅱ seemed a bit more challenging.

Of course, if I study hard, I’ll understand it quickly… but the process is just annoying.

With those thoughts in mind, I headed to my room.
