It takes a lot of time to learn and master the technique. If you train the same movement for a long time, your body will get used to the technique, and weak muscles will tear and become stronger. This series of processes took place in an instant. Instead of being distributed evenly throughout the body, the energy was concentrated in the muscles of the legs, waist, arms, and hands. The body was perfected as if it had been trained for a long time.

    Kook-

When I clenched my fist, I felt stronger than before. If this was a body made only for using techniques, how strong must the knight Jade have been? Even with just a hint of her power, I think I could subdue my past self with one hand.

    “How are you?”

“Please finish it. Should I just go defeat the Demon King like this?”

Demon King? Don’t mess with me, I’m invincible and the Goddess is a god… of course she’s a god. Anyway, I felt such omnipotence that those words just came out naturally.

I want to go out right now and swing my sword – Mayhen, who was looking at me excitedly with such thoughts, made a suggestion.

“Would you like to have a quick sparring session before going out?”

    “Is this a match?”

“Yes, go to the empty lot over there and swing your sword around lightly. Real combat is important.”

Mayhen, who disappeared while saying she would bring a sword for a moment, has disappeared. Hmm… Should I adjust my strength?

While Mayhen was gone, I walked through the empty space and tried to recall the sensation I had just felt. If I concentrated, I could feel the energy still stored in my heart. The remainder of what I had just used. The amount was small, unlike before. However, that was actually good for practicing.

    ‘Time moves. Time moves.’

I grabbed a blade of grass on the ground. Normally, because of the barrier, no matter how much strength I exerted, I would have to maintain this state. However, if I concentrate now and put my energy into the grass, the leaf snapped.

How to use the energy. Just testing it on a blade of grass was enough to teach me how to use it.

I grabbed the torn part of the blade of grass in my hand and returned it to its original place. Then, as I breathed life into it again, the blade of grass that had once been cut off became one again, as if nothing had happened. Perhaps the same goes for human wounds. No matter how much you were hurt, if you have enough energy and time to focus, you can restore it.

While I was trying out various things out of curiosity, Mayhen appeared with a sword. The sword looked as if it had been created by melting down 666 angels… No, it was just an ordinary straight sword, except that the blade was pitch-black.

“Mayhen, um, the clothes are still the same? Did you just bring my sword?”

“Yes, it is a holy sword tailored exclusively for the warrior.”

Even though it was a holy sword, it didn’t emit light from its blade or have any fancy decorations. Well, in this place where it was certain that gods actually existed, there was no need to decorate it like a ceremonial sword.

The Holy Sword was just like a normal sword, except for one special function. It could transfer the energy contained in my heart. Right now, it could only interfere with the time of the part of my body that was in contact, but when I held the sword, it naturally expanded to that part. If I wasn’t the one who could control this energy, it would just be a sword that didn’t break easily and was sharp. Of course, even with that alone, it was worthy of being called a famous sword.

“Oh, right. Mayhen, I just ran some tests. I think I can change the time of my body and the objects I touch. Is this the ability of the Goddess’s Jewel?”

Manipulating time – It was more surprising than Meihen jumping high with me, or my body becoming stronger in an instant. It was different from such indirect experiences. I felt that I had arrived in another world, knowing that there was an unknown power latent within me that I had never felt before, and that I could control it.

“In that short time? That’s amazing.”

“Yes, I got used to it after doing it a couple of times.”

Mayhen made a surprised expression, then stroked Hyunho’s head and praised him.

Is it that the mind follows the body? Even though I was treated like a child, I felt happy and not bad.

“Then, can you move the body where time has stopped? Originally, I was going to teach you the theory through sparring, but let’s try it out as if it were a real fight. It’s important to embody the technique in your body.”

That’s right. I nodded and closed my eyes. I spread the energy in my heart little by little throughout my body.

Done. It was much simpler than I thought. I wondered why I hadn’t felt the energy to move around so freely before.

    “Are you okay?”

“Yes. It worked. I did it, but it feels amazing.”

“Then, would you like to attack me once?”

I didn’t ask the same question. It was because Mayhen’s momentum, still in her maid outfit, was sharply piercing my entire body.

The breathtaking momentum made my whole body muscles contract on their own. I had been brimming with confidence until just now, but when I saw Mayhen, I realized in an instant that she was an opponent I couldn’t beat. I realized how arrogant it was to think that I was strong.

I was terrified by the momentum and froze in place. However, Mayhen, kindly, did not move an inch from her original position. She was waiting for me to attack in the same position as before.

I can’t be nervous while waiting like this. The difference in strength is stark. In that case, it would be polite to at least show my full power. I brought out the movements I had in my head into reality.

Lean your upper body forward and take a stance with your center of gravity forward. Hold the blade with one hand and the handle with the other, pointing the tip of the sword toward the floor. This is the ready stance.

He put strength into his hind legs and kicked the ground. Once while running forward, twice while twisting his waist, and three times while stretching his arms. The sword strikes that accelerated continuously were directed at Meihen’s body. He perfectly reproduced the movements that he had only imagined in his head.

When the arm stretched out and struck the still air, I could see why it was called a gust stab. Leaning forward, the accelerated body shot out at a speed that even it could not control. In order to stop, the sword that was thrust had to be stuck somewhere.

The last thing I saw, thinking that way, was a white glove clenching a fist.

    ***

    “Ugh! Ouch!”

I opened my eyes, screaming in pain, lying on Mayhen’s lap. My whole body ached, especially my back, arms, and nose.

    “Are you okay?”

    “No, my whole body hurts.”

“That’s too bad. But, except for the nose, all my muscles are sore. That’s because my body was overworked to the limit of its endurance.”

Even now, when I think about it again, it was a perfect stab. The feeling of each part of my body moving in conjunction to achieve a single goal was truly awesome. Even when I swung my sword, I felt confident that I could pierce through anything. It was such a well-made movement. I thought I had perfectly displayed the techniques I had learned.

But, I was subdued. And very easily. How can her thighs be so soft, yet so strong?

“But it was pretty good. There are no monsters with high erosion rates around this castle, so that’s enough. ”

That’s fortunate. If someone as strong as Mayhen is okay, then that’s what it would be like. My soaring confidence returned to its original state immediately after realizing the difference in level between Mayhen and me. This phenomenon is commonly called the Dunning-Kruger effect, which means that people who don’t know much have ridiculously high confidence. And when you come out of the peak of ignorance like me, you end up regretting your unfounded confidence.

“Ugh, I’ll get up now. My thoughts are complicated.”

“No, please lie down a little longer.”

Mayhen laid me down again as I was trying to get up from my lap pillow and patted my head. In fact, I couldn’t even get up on my own because of my muscle pain.

“I felt like I was letting time pass by in this training ground, and I felt like I could briefly go back to before I got hurt.”

“Is that so? I think it would be better to lie down though.”

Mayhen said that the body he had just created would run out of strength after just one stab, one proper use of the sword. That was actually the state of his body. His entire body was aching from the aftereffects of his body accelerating to its limit and then stopping after being hit by a punch.

You can turn it back to before… but natural healing and turning your body back to before you got hurt are different. Even if you turn it back to the state it was in before the sparring, it’s like getting muscle pain after one stab. In a real fight, you can’t stretch it with one technique, so you have to leave it alone until the torn muscle heals.

“So, you need to heal naturally so that your body can adapt to the maximum muscle mass.”

“Ugh, how long should I stay like that? Right now, even if I just turn my head slightly, it hurts so much.”

    “If it’s that bad… I think it’ll take 5 days.”

Hooo – Unlike rewinding time, fast-forwarding it costs more points. This is because it determines a future that has not yet been determined. It would be a waste to spend five days’ worth of points on something like this.

If you fix the body’s condition to the boundary, it will not be cured, so it is most cost-effective to adjust it to the natural flow of time that should have flowed originally.

“Then, I will hold your hand while you are unable to move at all.”

As I watched Mayhen confidently say, “Because I’m an exclusive maid,” I felt somewhat uneasy.
