I am Yugram Trident.

As a tool of Queen Marianne, he currently serves as the tutor of Princess Liliane.

Since Lady Marianne has ordered me to make the princess her successor as queen and prime minister, it can be said that my ultimate goal is to make the princess a prime minister. As a prime minister, you are one of the final decision makers in the kingdom’s major and minor affairs, so it is only natural that you need knowledge and the ability to handle work appropriate to your position and authority.

However, since it will be after the coming-of-age ceremony at the earliest for a princess to become a prime minister, it is not that difficult. There are still 12 years left until the coming-of-age ceremony at age 16, so it would be easy if she were to spend the remaining time as an education period of 8 years, or at most 10 years, and gradually gain experience by handling affairs with the current prime minister, the queen.

The only thing that worries me is that I have no experience as a teacher. Objectively, I consider myself competent, but on the other hand, I am also a young child who has not yet reached adulthood, so I have many shortcomings. I also realize that my way of thinking is a bit different from the general one.

Even though I am teaching a royal family, I am only a four-year-old girl, and I know that the human mind is different from subjects like mathematics or magic, which are based on set rules and laws. In other words, there are times when my assumptions and plans may all fall apart.

No matter how brilliant the princess’s brain is and how much I try to pass on my knowledge, if the princess has no desire to study, nothing will be achieved. If all members of society could make rational decisions, there would be no need to worry about crime, but the fact that the legal codes of all countries on the continent are as heavy as an average adult male without lightening magic shows how irrational and variable the human mind is.

So I looked into the cases of successful and unsuccessful priests through books, the greatest method of knowledge transfer that civilization has created. What educational methods were tried, why did those educational methods fail or succeed, and what were the results? I could not apply this to the princess in an ordinary way, but at least it was clear that the information would help me make a judgment when I had no experience or knowledge.

After gathering information, I found that there were three main ways: fear, understanding, and stimulation. Understanding seemed impossible to me, so it was a two-way choice, and fear seemed more likely, so I decided to choose fear.

Fear is probably the most universal and easiest method. It is used by everyone from commoners to nobles and even the military, and the fact that it is used in the military is proof that it is very effective and has a high success rate.

I personally believe that this is probably the oldest method in human history, where students perceive teachers or instructors as absolute superiors and are subject to corporal punishment when they fail to complete a task, and the fear of instructors and corporal punishment drives them to study or train.

However, it is not easy just because it is simple and old. Fear has its limits. Since the subject I am teaching is royalty and he knows it, the possibility of permanent physical damage, death, or a change in position is completely ruled out.

Also, to be honest, I wasn’t sure exactly how scared the princess was. Even in the military, there are people who leave because they can’t endure the intense training mentally, not physically. So it’s only natural that the princess’s mentality would be weaker than that, even for a worm like me.

First of all, I decided to completely exclude direct punishment and comments, and use the fear of the unknown. Simply ‘not knowing’ is meant to be fearful. I agree with this to some extent, as various possibilities come to mind due to a lack of information, and this soon comes to the burden of failure or a sense of crisis about oneself.

And I looked through medical books to find out how the body reacts when it feels fear. If you don’t have professional training, you can hide things like facial expressions, but you can’t hide natural body reactions, so using this information to judge the princess’s condition would be the most effective.

It is no exaggeration to say that this is the most difficult mission I have ever received from Lady Marianne, so I was quite nervous. Personally, I judge that I have almost no emotional ups and downs, but if I am aware that I am nervous, then it is quite serious.

As I was conducting the first class, I felt the burden that had been in my heart disappear. As expected of a member of the Karsten royal family, the princess was very quick-witted even at a young age and was able to accurately recognize and accept the need for education. She had the will to study and was also very capable, so the class was bound to go very smoothly.

The importance of early education has always been evident throughout history, and there have been numerous attempts. The simple idea that if you learn quickly and master it for a long time, you will be at an advantage in any field is something that anyone can do.

However, since a minimum level of growth was required to receive education, they naturally became absorbed into the culture after much trial and error. In the case of commoners, if they took over the family business or went to learn formal work at another store, they would begin education as a successor around the age of 10, and in the case of nobles, at the earliest, they would begin education as early as 6 years old. In the case of commoners, since most of them were engaged in physical labor, they naturally learned that it would be inefficient if they were not physically prepared.

However, the princess is currently four years old. Even if you don’t have any medical knowledge, it’s a young age that anyone would shake their head at, but it’s possible because she’s a member of the Carsten royal family, who grows very quickly and has maximized her physical abilities, including her brain. It’s almost impossible for even upper-class nobles to start studying at such a young age. Also, the fact that the four-year-old is very intelligent.

Also, I couldn’t tell if he was trying to hide it or if his expression wasn’t showing on his face, but I could tell from his body’s reaction that he was feeling fearful of me even though his expression was expressionless, so I knew that my training was working successfully. Since this was a long-term mission that would last for about 10 years, I was very fortunate that the beginning went as I expected.

The princess sometimes brought up the topic of fencing and self-defense classes. I told her that I had no immediate plans since I planned to focus on academic studies for two or three years, and she seemed quite disappointed. However… did the princess really know what fencing and self-defense classes meant when she asked me?

As I observed the princess and gathered information from the maids while conducting the class, I found that the princess is quite introverted. It is natural that she has difficulty with me, but she does not open her heart to the maids who have been with her in almost all situations in her life, and even when given free time, she does not go for a walk, but rather spends time in her room or goes to meet the princes.

Judging by this information, it seems like the princess just wanted to play with the princes and that’s why she said she wanted to take those classes. Maybe she’s mistaking the swordsmanship class for something like a picnic where the princes can chat and play together. She’s said to be very smart for her age, but in this regard, she’s still a child.

It may not have been my intention, but I can say that my lesson plan ended up protecting the princess. If the princess were to start taking swordsmanship and self-defense classes right now and realize the truth about them, I dare say that she would be so shocked that she would even refuse my lessons.

The royal family’s swordsmanship and self-defense classes are almost identical to the training schedule of the knights directly under the king. Many people knock on the door of the knights’ order for the honor of protecting the king and becoming a member of the best knights in the kingdom, but it is not uncommon for them to run away without completing the training schedule.

Of course, most of those idiots are either middle- and lower-class nobles who have lived relying only on their mediocre talents or simply lack physical ability, but even among the upper-class nobles, there are those who give up sometimes, so it seems that both the body and mind must be at a certain level to endure. Fortunately for the princess, it is a good thing.

After a year of training and a three-day break for the princess’s birthday, during the first class, I felt that something had changed in the princess.
