Chapter Index

    The light fades.

The flow that swept through space while flashing blue soon dispersed as if it had never existed in the first place.

Deltan gritted his teeth and watched the series of processes.

    “Fail again.”

A bedroom with a quiet atmosphere.

The woman sitting on the huge bed in the middle of it giggled and stretched out her arms.

With the movement, the blonde hair that fell over her shoulders becomes disheveled.

Then, the collarbone hidden behind the hair is revealed.

Deltan let out a short breath and lifted his eyelids.

Above the soft curved collarbones is a neck that looks like it might break if you squeeze it hard, and further up is a thin jaw line and lifeless lips.

    Stop-.

Deltan hesitated to move his gaze further to the smile on the woman’s lips.

Then the woman spoke with a smile in her voice.

“Why are you staring at your lips like that? Do you want it?”

    “… Damn it.”

“When talking to people, you have to look them in the eyes.”

The voice was full of playfulness.

    The Deltans knew.

This woman’s playfulness comes from my troubled attitude, unable to ignore it.

It was something that could have been simply ignored, but Deltan was incapable of doing such a thing.

What he values more than anything else in life is the unwavering pride of always being the winner.

A grim look filled Deltan’s eyes.

    Soon his eyes looked higher.

    “Are you done now?”

Although he said it provocatively, Deltan felt his stomach burn.

This was due to the light pink pupils resembling spring flowers and the dingy dark circles underneath them that were disturbing my vision.

It was because of her complexion that anyone could tell that it was the face of a dying person.

    … No, that didn’t matter.

What was more embarrassing to the Deltans than anything else now was what was about to unfold before their eyes.

    Tiring.

An artificial alarm sound sounded in Deltan’s ears.

Then a translucent screen appeared on his retina.

An inorganic sentence was sentenced to him.

The inevitable death of a woman.
