Chapter Index

Maguspol, a city of magic engineering where humans and various other races live together.

『Dream City』 is a game that contains the stories of various problem solvers in that city.

I really like this game called Dream City.

“Oh, which route should we take today?”

Like all open world games, Dream City boasted a significantly higher degree of freedom.

Do you like giving players and characters a choice?

To this extent, you can see the ending without directly fighting the final boss that marks the end of the game.

For example, before fighting a boss, destroy the entire field where the boss is located, or lure a boss that is equal to the final boss and do EJ.

Is that just it? If I had the conditions and abilities, I could persuade the final boss and then cast the pregnancy attack.

Sometimes, there were guys who went too far and played a hybrid game where they dealt with the final boss and destroyed the city themselves.

    I wasn’t that bad, but…

It was great to be able to do most of the actions you could think of in the game.

Of course, it is not a game that only has advantages.

“Oh my god, I don’t know who you are, but your timing is amazing.”

    “Ack! That bastard again!”

There is an ugly orc NPC who always shouts that there is a client who needs the help of the solvers.

    “We created over 200 endings!”

“The volume of this game is approximately 100 dungeons and 1000 locations.”

“There will be no loading during the game in this game!”

“Whatever you imagine… it will work out.”

“Oops, is this starting again? That bastard.”

Even developers who swear whenever they open their mouths.

All of those remarks were made when Dream City was announced.

I remember watching the broadcast reverently wearing alien sunglasses at the time.

Now that I think about it, there was no way something like that was possible… but that was before my head was sutured.

Of course, there are many disadvantages other than these two.

There were some parts that could be said to have been completed by modders rather than the developers.

    “Ahhhh!”

I was also curious as to why the insects and bugs were so perfectly realized that they were so close to reality.

Of course, despite that, I liked this game.

The play time is well over 3,000 hours.

Some people might think I’m a game junkie, but this wasn’t that many.

It is said that among Japanese animation directors, there is one who has worked 6,000 hours.

Compared to those real people, I was like new feet.

But one day, while browsing a game site, I came across a second creative novel based on Dream City.

No, it would be more accurate to say that I found out.

I didn’t see it in person, but just looking at the number of views of the novel posted by the author, I didn’t feel like doing so.

The number of episodes exceeded 100, but the number of views was less than 10 and the number of comments was less than half that number.

Even that was decreasing by 1 as it got closer to the latest version.

    Episode 99 / 3,051 characters / 4 people / 2 / 4 recommendations

    Episode 100 / 3,094 characters / 3 people / 1 / 4 recommendations

    Episode 101 / 3,043 characters / 2 people / 1 / 3 recommendations

Looking at the number of recommendations that are greater than the number of views, it is clear that even that is a fallacy.

Starting with the post posted by the author, other users also started cutting and posting only the number of views of that novel.

“Are you making love in there?”

I couldn’t just pass by the article.

‘Oh, I’d love to see those views and comments drop off.’

I just added that one comment…

After that, I fell into a deep sleep, forgetting that I had even posted that comment.

But suddenly I heard someone’s voice.

[Create a character that fits the relevant life pattern.]

That voice ringing in my head.

When I turned around to see what was going on, it was already…

    -Wheee!

The strong wind began to repeatedly hit my face and body.

Pure white skin that seemed to shine even though it was white, and a face so soft that I touched it just to see if it would be soft.

I wondered what on earth was going on, but there was something else important.

    “…Huh?!”

I thought as I desperately tried to balance my tilted body.

    Why!

“It starts from such a high place!!!!!!!”

    I’m afraid of heights!
