Chapter Index

    Episode 0 – Prologue

How many people actually enjoy their lives? Would you be happy if you succeeded in getting a job, which is said to be harder than threading a needle?

I lived as I was told, like everyone else, and ended up on the typical path: a decent university in Seoul, honorable discharge from the military, job preparation, and finally, employment.

A public institution located in a province a bit far from the metropolitan area. The salary is higher than that of a civil servant but there’s no pension, and lower than that of a large company, but guaranteed employment until the age of 60-a decent job.

The pros and cons are that while my retirement is guaranteed, that bastard’s is too. But there’s no pressure to perform, so the atmosphere within the company is fairly decent.

However, since work is only done within the set regulations, after working for about two years, you realize that there’s nothing you can do proactively. Eventually, you become a stagnant old-timer who goes to work without any motivation.

A life spent waiting for the weekend, day after day. Days without novelty or freshness, where today is like tomorrow and tomorrow is like today.

That is, until I obtained administrator privileges.
