EP.9 Saint of Another World-1

The Saint of Another World-1
It took a considerable amount of time to calm down the people who were trying to spontaneously combust and go on a rampage.
At first, I tried to stop them with kind words, but later I got so frustrated that I shouted loudly, and only then did they stop and listen to me.
It felt like the more I spoke, the deeper I sank into a quagmire, as they would exaggerate everything I said and try to do even more.
When I clearly stated that I wanted to wash, the clergyman who seemed to be the highest-ranking finally guided me.
I thought he was a high-ranking person because he was leading the way and his clothes were the most luxurious, but I later found out he was the Pope.
Anyway, as I put my body in the tub and closed my eyes, a warm energy enveloped my entire body.
Soaking in this way was a luxury that I could only enjoy when I was the Young Cult Leader.
“Please tell me if you need anything.”
A clergyman holding a jar of water spoke to the large jar.
He looked like a Priest from my world.
I nodded slightly and closed my eyes.
And I pondered what exactly this place was, and who I was in this place.
What kind of place is this?
The era is closer to the Middle Ages than modern times.
The square, the execution ground, and the architectural style were exactly what I had seen in textbooks or movies.
Considering that, it’s strangely neat, and there are items that don’t fit the era… I guess I should think of this as a fantasy correction.
And who am I?
They called me ‘Saint.’ The Saint in the Father, the Saint, and the Holy Spirit.
Judging from the Pope’s tone, it seems that I am more of a prophet or herald than the son of God.
“I’m going to get involved with religion this time.”
I’ve lived my whole life without ever being involved with religion, and now I’m not just getting involved, but I’m a Saint, a Saint.
The headache that I had barely calmed down seems to be coming back.
“Pardon?”
The Priest standing next to me asked back at my mumbling. Ah, this person was here.
“Excuse me, but could you give me a mirror?”
I haven’t seen my face since I Dimensional Shifted here.
As if it had been prepared, a mirror was immediately handed over.
When the mirror was brought in front of me, a man with exotic features was reflected in the mirror.
Come to think of it, is this only the second time I’ve been a Westerner?
The appearance was handsome, at least by my aesthetic standards.
The brown hair that came down to my shoulders and the messy beard were a bit of a turn-off.
One distinctive feature was the clear blue eyes.
Overall, it was shabby and dirty, but the eyes felt alive.
Thanks to the eyes, I felt like I had been upgraded from a simple beggar to a beggar hiding his strength.
“A haircut….”
I mumbled while wiping my soaked body with a sponge.
At my mumbling, the Priest leaned over and put his ear close.
The overly polite treatment was burdensome, but I couldn’t tell them not to, so I had no choice but to get used to it….
“I need someone to cut my hair and beard, is there a barber by any chance?”
I can wash my body myself, but I need someone to tidy up my hair.
“I’ll prepare it right away.”
The Priest left immediately, and I earned some time to be alone.
“Ah….”
I let out a long sound as I watched the rising steam reach the ceiling and turn into water.
“What am I going to do this time….”
My spirit wasn’t broken, but the feeling of helplessness remained unchanged.
Fortunately, I’m starting in a position where I’m the boss, so there’s no immediate danger, but… you never know.
“Because there’s even an Inquisitor.”
If I do anything that deviates from the doctrine, or if it’s revealed that I’m not the Saint, I’ll be back on the execution ground and my body will be chopped off.
No, would they kill me so cleanly?
Wouldn’t they tie me to a wooden pillar and burn me at the stake…?
No matter how used to death I am, burning to death is something I’d rather avoid.
“How am I going to solve this? If I knew how to read, I would read the doctrine in advance.”
I rubbed my face with my hands, trying to erase the feeling of helplessness.
As always, I will adapt somehow.
I still don’t like this Dimensional Shift. But I don’t think it’s all bad.
Because I’m enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime experience multiple times.
Of course, the thought of ultimately dying as the original ‘Kang In-ho’ has not changed.
I want to spend my complete life and die with my beloved parents and my longtime friends.
-Splash
As I got up from the tub, the water that had filled up flowed down.
I wiped the water off my body with a dry towel.
That’s why I’m enduring this fucking endless Dimensional Shift.
Someday, to find a very small clue to return to the original world.
“Saint. I have prepared a barber.”
I heard the Priest’s voice from behind.
I put on the prepared bathrobe and turned around.
And I put on the kindest expression I can make.
“I understand. Let’s go.”
I will act perfectly.
The best Saint.
“It is only right that a Priest carefully selected by the Bishops should attend to the Saint.”
As the Bishop raised his voice, the Holy Knight Commander next to him frowned slightly.
“However, to protect the Saint’s safety, a Holy Knight must be by his side anyway.”
The Knight Commander was saying that the Holy Knight should attend to the Saint, although he didn’t say it directly.
“……”
Unlike the Bishop and the Holy Knight, Lumen, the Inquisitor Captain, remained silent.
The Inquisitor was not suited to attending to someone, and their power was the weakest among the three forces that made up the Solarium Order.
He thought there was no need to open his mouth and be scolded for no reason.
“How about the Saint choosing the person to attend to him himself, rather than us deciding?”
Pope Runio made a suggestion in a difficult situation where he couldn’t take either side.
“How can we advise the Saint to do this or that? It seems that following the Saint’s decision is the true action of us, the children of light.”
At the Pope’s words, which were largely orthodox, everyone closed their mouths like they had swallowed honey.
