Exchange Meeting – 2

    Exchange Meeting – 2

    Exchange Meeting Day.

“Hmm… the causality is within the error range… no other dimensional distortions either….”

Solari examined the state of the dimensions she was in charge of.

It was the minimum measure to prevent problems in the dimensions during the time she attended the Exchange Meeting.

Several indicators in the air were within the safe zone.

Having recently suffered greatly from a sudden possessor, Solari repeatedly checked the figures shown on the indicators.

Just as she would check the gas stove several times after preparing to go out, Solari watched the indicators until the very last moment before leaving her dimension.

The Exchange Meeting was held in the dimension governed by their superior, the 2nd Class Dimension Management God Nibir.

Instead of going directly to her dimension, Solari waited for her party in the relay zone.

“As expected of a model student. You’re here early?”

Runin, with Empen’s arm around her shoulder, was approaching her, accompanied by a boisterous sound.

    “You’re not late.”

Solari said, observing Empen’s still stiff appearance.

“If I’m late, you’ll nag me again, won’t you?”

    Runin shrugged.

“If there are no more members coming, let’s leave right away. If we’re late, we might not even be able to greet our senior.”

Nibir, who was recently promoted to 2nd Class Dimension Management God, was a figure respected and loved by her juniors.

In the world of Dimension Management Gods, where rigid hierarchical relationships existed, Nibir treated her juniors with kindness and understanding.

[If Senior Nibir gets angry, it means the other person has really done something wrong.]

It was to the point where such a saying circulated.

Solari recalled when she left the Nurturing Center and became a 4th Class Dimension Management God.

At the time, Nibir, who was a 3rd Class Dimension Management God, welcomed her and Runin, and comforted and taught them, who made many mistakes in their first mission.

    “……..”

Solari thought that she at that time probably wasn’t much different from Empen over there.

Solari, Runin, and Empen headed to the edge of the relay zone.

It was a dimensional passage leading to where Nibir was.

Perhaps because many Dimension Management Gods were passing through the relay zone, a long line was formed in front of the dimensional passage.

Solari scanned familiar and unfamiliar faces, gauging the scale of her district.

“Empen, have you ever met Senior Nibir?”

“I’ve only seen her from afar at the Nurturing Center.”

Behind Solari, the time of persistent questions and desperate answers continued.

“Oh, you haven’t seen her even after being assigned? …Now that she’s a 2nd Class God, she doesn’t meet 4th Class Gods?”

Runin frowned and muttered to herself, while Empen still stared straight ahead at attention.

    “Empen.”

Solari, who was watching her, called her in a soft voice.

“There’s no need to be so nervous. You and I are both the same 4th Class Dimension Management Gods. We won’t eat you, so you don’t have to be so scared.”

Empen’s gaze turned to her, and Solari said reassuringly.

    “Yes, understood! Thank you!”

It was the same answer as always, but there was a subtle sense of stability mixed in, and Solari was satisfied with this.

“Accidents that occur while managing dimensions often happen during the early stages of being a Management God. It may seem like Runin is tormenting you, but she’s saying all of this for your sake.”

She glanced at her colleague Runin and added.

“Tormenting my ass. It’s just because I’m in charge of her training.”

Runin blushed and grumbled, and Solari smiled at the sight.

Solari continued to talk to Empen, and Empen’s stiff body gradually relaxed.

In the meantime, the long line gradually shortened.

“Ah, I think it’s our turn.”

Empen, who was groaning from Runin’s headlock, pointed to the passage with her finger.

The three Dimension Management Gods straightened their posture and headed for the passage.

“Ah, excuse me for a moment.”

Just as they were about to enter the passage leading to Nibir’s dimension, someone cut in front of them.

    White wings blocked their view.

    ‘Wings?’

Solari’s eyes twitched, and Runin sighed as if she was dumbfounded.

To think there was someone who would ostentatiously take out wings that were only used to show majesty to mortals….

She must be a rookie who hasn’t been a Dimension Management God for long.

    That’s what Runin thought.

“Hey, what’s the big idea cutting in? Can’t you see we’re standing in line here?”

At Runin’s sharp words, the uninvited guest, who was about to step into the dimensional passage, turned around.

    “Oh?”

A short exclamation came from the mouths of Runin and Solari as they confirmed the face of the uninvited guest.

The person in front of them was not a rookie 4th Class Dimension Management God.

The uninvited guest scanned their bodies from bottom to top.

Runin flared up at the clearly condescending gaze, but she closed her mouth at the difference in class she felt from the other person.

    “A 4th Class?”

The words wriggled like a snake with many intertwined meanings.

    “……”

Solari quietly imprinted that face in her memory.

“Nothing to say? If you have nothing to say, should I go?”

Perhaps satisfied that they had recognized her class and shut their mouths, the 3rd Class Dimension Management God turned her body again.

The uninvited guest flapped her wings as she turned, and the heavy wings brushed against Empen’s head.

After the uninvited guest left, Solari, Runin, and Empen could only stare blankly at the place where the other person had disappeared, even though it was their turn.

“Wow… what the hell is wrong with that bitch. Was there a bitch like that in our district?”

It was Runin who broke the long silence.

She kept huffing and puffing as if she couldn’t shake off her anger, and Empen couldn’t hide her anxiety at the sight of her looking angrier than she had ever seen before.

Solari rummaged through her memories. It was a face she had seen somewhere before.

After rummaging through the drawer called oblivion for a long time, she was finally able to find the name of the person she had just met.

    “She’s not from our district.”

Runin shifted her gaze at Solari’s words.

“This Exchange Meeting is supposed to be only for Dimension Management Gods from our district, right?”

Solari shrugged slightly at Runin’s question.

It meant that she didn’t know either.

“Senior Nibir might have called her separately.”

    Runin paused at Solari’s words.

“Hey, you. Do you know something? Spill it.”

Runin grabbed Solari’s shoulders and shook her back and forth at the somewhat detailed information.

“3rd Class Dimension Management God Ranael. You must have heard the name before, right?”

Solari said, feeling her head shaking.

“That… right? The one who left her name in the history of the Nurturing Center….”

Soon, Runin, who had remembered something, looked at Solari’s face and said.

    “A total disaster.”

Solari took the last words that Runin couldn’t bring herself to say.
