The Descent of the Heavenly Horse (Part 2)
“Aaaaaaaaargh!!!!”
Screaming, the short-haired girl swung her fist.
However, her attack didn’t reach.
It had been two hours since she began her relentless assault.
She struggled to tear the opponent in front of her to pieces, but the opponent only looked slightly tired, their breathing steady.
“Ugh… ugh!”
Faced with an insurmountable wall, the short-haired girl, Yeomjin, placed her hand on the ground.
“Are you finished?”
The face of her hateful Master, looking at her with an indifferent expression.
“Why… Master… why!!!”
Yeomjin squeezed her throat and screamed.
Her Master remained indifferent to her cries.
“She was a good child. A child who worked harder than anyone else. But… but why!!! Why would you make such a cruel decision!”
“Yeomjin, do you know how the peace of this Martial World is maintained?”
At her Master’s sudden question, Yeomjin raised her head.
“Every year, new enemies appear. And they increase their power by breaking taboos.”
“Do you know how threatening those who have abandoned morality are?”
Yeomjin couldn’t say anything to her Master’s question.
The enemies she had encountered while wandering the Martial World with her Master and her disciple were all strong.
“Their methods are becoming more and more cruel and efficient. On the other hand, we have no choice but to continue training in the same way.”
Her Master approached Yeomjin and lowered himself. Today, the distance between her and her Master, which she could never reach no matter how hard she tried, had narrowed.
Her Master stroked Yeomjin’s back, who was lying prostrate, and continued.
“Therefore, ‘Forced Growth’ is a necessary evil. Museong’s death is therefore meaningful.”
From the point where her Master’s hand touched, a cool energy slowly consumed her body.
Yeomjin felt her head becoming clearer.
“The fish caught by the fisherman, the meat sold by the butcher… they all have meaning only when they are eaten. And they prove their worth by being eaten by humans.”
“He took in an orphan with no one to rely on and treated him well for five years. Museong will surely have no regrets.”
It was absurd.
But, strangely, Yeomjin had no choice but to accept her Master’s words calmly.
For some reason, she felt that way.
Having burned away all negative emotions, all that remained for her was the name Yomryun Skill and a massive Inner Force.
And….
The realization that the act called ‘Forced Growth’ was for the sake of justice.
‘This is the driving force behind the continuation of Yomryun Skill, and the reason why the Martial World is peaceful.’
Yeomjin’s thoughts, having inherited her Master’s will, were firm.
She provoked Soyou’s anger with obvious taunts.
And while dealing with her as she rushed in, spewing flames, she waited for those flames to burn away all her emotions.
She deflected her attacks until she was so exhausted that she couldn’t even stand.
That was what Yeomjin had to do.
“……”
The enraged Soyou didn’t say much.
However, the Killing intent that made her skin tingle and the flames that seemed to burn her if she got too close indirectly represented her feelings.
‘I thought I had become stronger… but this could kill me if I’m not careful.’
Yeomjin was inwardly surprised, recalling the Inner Force she had gained after losing Museong.
This was because the amount of Inner Force Soyou had gained through Forced Growth was abnormally large.
For two hours, she narrowly avoided the threat of death by a hair’s breadth.
Soyou’s movements gradually slowed down.
‘Not much left.’
The trajectory of her sharp fist wavered erratically.
Yeomjin felt the sweat running down her back and thought.
“……”
Soyou’s movements stopped.
Seeing her disciple breathing heavily, Yeomjin kept a reasonable distance.
“I can’t beat Master after all.”
Soyou said, as if she had realized something, not with resentment.
“Soyou, do you know how the peace of this Martial World is maintained?”
Yeomjin repeated the words her Master had said verbatim.
She stimulated the sense of justice that Martial Artist of the Orthodox Sect should have.
“Every year, new enemies appear. And they increase their power by breaking taboos.”
“Do you know how threatening those who have abandoned morality are?”
Soyou didn’t respond to Yeomjin’s question.
“Their methods are becoming more and more cruel and efficient. On the other hand, we have no choice but to continue training in the same way.”
Yeomjin carefully approached Soyou.
“Therefore, ‘Forced Growth’ is a necessary evil. Inho’s death is therefore meaningful.”
Yeomjin gathered Inner Force in her hand. It was to calm her emotions by channeling Inner Force into Soyou.
Yeomjin firmly believed that Soyou’s mind, which had broken down due to excitement, would surely regain its composure.
“The fish caught by the fisherman, the meat sold by the butcher… they all have meaning only when they are eaten. And they prove their worth by being eaten by humans.”
Yeomjin carefully reached out her hand and placed it on Soyou’s head.
Just like she used to stroke Soyou’s head to praise her for completing a task,
Remembering how Soyou had found a sense of security in her that she hadn’t felt from her own parents, Yeomjin stroked Soyou’s head with sincerity.
“Do not forget that everything is for the peace of the world and for justice.”
The Inner Force flowing from Yeomjin’s hand passed through Soyou’s head and spread throughout her body.
“Master.”
Her disciple, whose breathing had stabilized, looked at her with clear eyes.
“What is it?Seeing the admirable and lovely old appearance in Soyou, Yeomjin looked at Soyou with a full smile.
-Thud
Soyou’s right hand grabbed Yeomjin’s arm.
And the strength of her grip gradually increased.
“Ugh… Soyou?”
Flames slowly rose from Soyou’s right hand.
“What Sorcery are you playing now?”
Soyou looked at Yeomjin with clear eyes that showed no sign of wavering.
Yeomjin thought that her spotless eyes were like a deep lake whose bottom could not be fathomed.
“Did you think you could quell the grief of losing Inho with a mere Sorcery?”
Soyou’s voice changed as she stared into Yeomjin’s eyes.
“You whore.”
Whoosh
Yeomjin’s arm began to be consumed by flames.
By pitch-black flames.
