‘Our’ Definition – 2

    ‘Our’ Definition – 2

The sound of morning sparrows chirping, the faint presence of today’s sunlight beyond the window.

The Heavenly Demon woke up feeling refreshed for the first time in a long while.

The first thing she saw was Inho’s face. And she felt his firm chest.

She remembered putting her arm around him, but she must have unconsciously moved onto his chest. The Heavenly Demon thought.

“He sleeps just like a child.”

She smiled at his soft snoring.

Then, as if reminded of something, she gently pinched his nose with her finger.

Inho, who stopped snoring, mumbled in his sleep, and she put her index finger to his lips.

Slightly dry lips. The Heavenly Demon stared blankly as her index finger moved along with the movement of his mouth.

It was a pointless action, but she wanted to do such a pointless thing for the first time in a long time.

    “Umm…”

Was it because she pinched his nose? Inho stirred as if he was slightly awake.

Wanting to continue this pleasant comfort, the Heavenly Demon paused her movements for a moment.

It was because she couldn’t let him wake up.

    “…Mina.”

What did he see in his dream?

Her disciple mumbled something in his sleep.

“Hehe, what kind of dream are you having?”

The Heavenly Demon chuckled, caressing his bridge of nose, philtrum, lips, and chin.

    She was happy.

She was feeling emotions that she couldn’t have imagined just a few days ago.

She doubted her eyes when she saw the painting with his face.

On the journey to bring him to Henan, she wondered if she was under some nasty illusion.

She mixed her body with him, and even when she fell asleep, she doubted whether it was a dream or not.

But that worry was meaningless, and here he was, next to her.

She was so happy about that fact.

“To think I would feel this warmth again.”

She playfully kissed his chest with a smack.

A pink mark of a kiss.

It felt good because it was like a brand proving that she was with him.

    “Umm… Mi…”

As she played with his face and body, her disciple’s mumbling became clearer.

She put her ear close. She was going to find out what kind of dream he was having and tease him when he woke up.

    “Lee Mina…”

And at the name of the woman she heard for the first time, her eyes narrowed and glared at Inho.

“Who is Lee Mina? What kind of woman appears in your dreams?”

He couldn’t bring himself to look at her.

The atmosphere was similar to when she said she would call a surgeon to pluck out his eyes yesterday.

    “Uh… well, to explain.”

“Keep your words short and concise. I hate beating around the bush.”

    Where should he start explaining?

“Uh… someone I used to work with? Something like that?”

Kuguguk. The hand on his chest tightened.

    It hurt.

“Worked together? You said it yourself. That you were a farmer’s son. The only survivor in this village. So what kind of work did you do together?”

“Umm… a long time ago that Master doesn’t know about… someone I used to do farm work with? Something like that?”

    “You’re lying.”

An ominous aura rose from her red eyes. No, we were pretty good yesterday.

“Can’t you give me a little space since it’s, personal?”

“Are you keeping secrets between you and me?”

    “What are we?”

“Master and disciple. Woman and man. We mixed bodies yesterday, and we are in love with each other.”

    That was immediate.

But aren’t we not in love with each other yet?

As he blankly stared at her face after her bombshell statement with a calm face, the Heavenly Demon’s face darkened in real time.

    “Inho.”

    “Yes.”

    “Don’t you love me?”

    “Huh?”

“Do you love that woman, Lee Mina?”

    “No… I…”

He was thinking of trying to get along with Lee Mina.

But could that be called love?

What is it to love someone?

Right, in the world I used to live in, I had someone in my heart.

When I was a student, or at a few blind dates.

But should that be called love?

After possessing this body, I had no words to say to the question I heard for the first time.

I was just thinking about adapting to the possessed world and surviving.

I didn’t have the time to feel or think about anything.

    “Tell me. Inho.”

“What is loving someone in the first place?”

At her urging, the Heavenly Demon’s mouth slightly opened.

It seemed like an unexpected question.

Silence followed, and she did nothing but gently stroke my body with her hands from time to time.

She had a look on her face as if she had been hit hard, and she rolled her eyes as if thinking about something, and I just watched her.

Along with the sound of birds flying away from the window frame, she broke the long silence.

“Come to think of it. I haven’t taught you about love.”

She said, clasping her hands together.

“After you came back to life, this is the first teaching. Listen carefully.”

She took a breath and continued.

“Love is when the other person is more precious than yourself.”

    “That’s cliché.”

When I retorted like that because it sounded like something I had heard somewhere, she grabbed my nose and shook it.

She grabbed and shook it quite hard, and tears welled up in my eyes.

    “Ouch! It hurts.”

When I protested in a nasal voice, she shook my nose a few more times as if she was resentful and then let go.

“How dare you criticize your Master’s teachings.”

“Still. What else can I say but that something cliché is cliché.”

“Being cliché also means that it is closer to the truth.”

She retorted with a triumphant face.

“Remember this well, Inho. Love is when the other person is more precious than yourself. It’s giving everything you have to the other person.”

    “…Yes.”

I was about to retort, but I answered obediently because I thought she would grab my nose again.

“Okay. I’ll give you everything I have, so you give me everything you have.”

    “Huh?”

When I looked at her with a face that said, “What are you talking about?” she snorted.

“Hmph! Anyway, you can only see me as a woman in this world. There’s only one choice in the first place. Why are you making that face?”

    Well… that’s true.

It’s almost impossible to meet another woman with the Heavenly Demon around. Of course, I don’t intend to do that either.

Maybe, if I continue to live in the Black Heaven Cult like this, I will continue to live like this with the Heavenly Demon.

I’m not sure yet whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

Isn’t it something I can decide after learning more about the Heavenly Demon and this Black Heaven Cult?

As I was thinking that, she hit my stomach with a loud noise and said.

“Well, it’s about time, so let’s go eat breakfast.”

The blanket fell, revealing her graceful naked body.

    Hmm… she’s pretty, our Master.
