The Last Battle of This Story – 1
A hanbok adorned with flower decorations and a dress decorated with stars rapidly swept across the earth. The wind belatedly chased after their passage, followed by the sound of compressed air exploding.
[—-!!!!]
The bloated target reacted sensitively to the hostility. It emitted an unearthly shriek, difficult to put into words, and slammed its hand down.
It was a dull, prolonged shriek, like a foghorn.
Bang!
Dust billowed as a pit formed. Naturally, the two women were unharmed, rapidly advancing towards Lee Mina.
As the black monster, having locked onto its target, prepared another attack, the Magical Girl leaped into the air, stepping on nothing.
Leaping into the air with the same speed as she had been running, she hopped as if stepping on invisible stairs, trying to match the target’s eye level.
The black monster, prioritizing the elimination of what bothered it most, swung its arm at the red-haired Magical Girl. The massive hand and arm, swung horizontally, became a giant barrier, crashing towards the Magical Girl. Kim Sung-ah felt as if a fortress made of mud bricks was rushing towards her flank.
Rumble-
The body of a giant tree met the monster’s arm, clearing a path for the Magical Girl.
Beneath the Magical Girl, Chunhyang, with golden eyes gleaming, reached out her hand. The tree extended branches covered in thorns, entangling the monster.
Sharp, hard thorns dug into the monster’s body, and it merely emitted a prolonged foghorn-like sound, whether from pain or discomfort.
The Magical Girl, momentarily stunned by the unexpected coordinated attack, regained her senses and began to climb the tree trunk.
Faster than she had been running on the ground, stardust fell and burned in her wake.
Like a retrograde comet, she reached the top with light trailing behind her, and leaped off a sturdy branch.
Crack!
As the tree, which had been holding off the giant’s offensive, broke and fell to the ground, the Magical Girl, airborne, soared through the air with the same speed as her jump. There was a reason why she, who could fly, had bothered to jump.
‘That thing regenerates really fast.’
Kim Sung-ah recalled the scene of the monster quickly repairing the places where it had been pierced by the thorny vines. While she ascended, Chunhyang blocked the enemy’s attacks with the tree, while simultaneously slashing at its knees and ankles with a vine sword. She had thought that she could knock the monster to the ground since it was cut without resistance, but it reattached as soon as it was cut.
Originally, she had planned to hit it with a Starlight Cannon at point-blank range. However, she calculated that firing a Starlight Cannon at a being with such regenerative abilities would be useless. The Starlight Cannon had considerable power, but the impact point was very narrow.
‘Even if I inflict a penetrating wound, it’ll regenerate quickly.’
There weren’t many options for her, who had relied on long-range artillery.
However, that didn’t mean the remaining methods were weak.
One of the new techniques she had developed in preparation for the fight against the Witch.
“Starlight, be.”
As she chanted the spell, starlight began to gather at the end of the staff she held.
Brightly shining particles of light gradually gathered, taking shape. The end of the staff became heavy, naturally drooping downwards.
Watching it gather into a rectangular shape, the Magical Girl, with a short shout, swung it over her shoulder.
When the Magical Girl’s ankles, which had been endlessly soaring into the air, were caught by gravity and began to descend, a giant hammerhead gleamed behind her waist.
“Stardust Hammer!!!!”
The hammer was slammed down on what was presumed to be the crown of the black monster’s head, and a powerful shockwave pressed down on the monster’s entire body like flattening a pot.
Guooooooo!
The target resisted the pressure created by the magically created hammer, and dozens of tentacles burst from its back, reaching out towards the Magical Girl. The tentacles defied the downward pressure, slowly reaching out towards the Magical Girl.
“Get crushed!!”
Kim Sung-ah sent magical power into the hammer, unleashing her full power.
The pressure pressing down on the earth gradually increased, and even with the force striking from high above, the stones on the ground slowly crumbled.
Despite the formidable power, the tentacles tenaciously moved to wrap around her body.
“You’re really persistent!”
As she bared her fangs and expressed her dissatisfaction at the approaching tentacles, the monster’s body shook violently with explosions.
Bang, bang
Pink and yellow explosions bloomed like flowers from the monster’s body.
“I shall show you a splendid flower viewing.”
Each time Chunhyang, with ominously gleaming golden eyes, snapped her fingers, an explosion occurred in the monster’s body.
“Why didn’t you do that sooner?”
Kim Sung-ah shouted, watching the tentacles shrink.
“It takes time to plant the seeds in its body. How can you be so impatient as a woman…”
Tsk tsk, the sound of tongue-clicking seemed to be heard even from afar.
Kim Sung-ah struggled to ignore the prominent vein on her forehead and steadily began to compress the opponent.
The head of the black monster, which had boasted a large build, gradually approached the ground.
Just when it was judged that the monster’s size had been reduced appropriately, Chunhyang lightly tapped the ground with the toe of her flower shoes, and a blue vine shot out, splitting the ground.
It began to wrap around the monster’s body like a mummy, restraining it so that no part of its body could twitch.
“I shall concede the finale to you.”
Chunhyang spoke magnanimously to the free-falling Magical Girl, as if she had finished gift-wrapping.
“Stop telling me what to do!!”
The Magical Girl, accelerating as she fell, once again raised the hammer above her shoulder and poured magical power into it.
The hammerhead, receiving her magical power, grew even larger, and she gritted her teeth and slammed the hammer down.
“Become starlight!!!”
The massive impact shook everyone standing on the ground, and a brilliantly shining pillar erupted like a geyser from the spot where the hammer fell.
The two women were able to confirm the results of the battle only after the stardust and dust had settled.
Torn black flesh lay scattered haphazardly in the deeply hollowed pit.
“Did we get it?”
After carefully examining the surroundings, the Magical Girl opened her mouth very cautiously.
“You certainly have a loose tongue.”
No sooner had the Magical Girl finished speaking than Chunhyang frowned.
“Huh?”
Just as she was about to ask Chunhyang back with a blank face, she felt the ground beneath them trembling.
“Haa- Prepare to fight. It will soon rise again in perfect condition.”
Chunhyang said calmly, pushing away the rising annoyance.
