EP.17 Dimension Manager God-1

Dimension Management God – 1
“The scheme that came out of that brilliant head of yours was just to run away from me?”
As the fifth strike landed on Lee Mina’s chest, the Ancient shadows that had been slowly gathering scattered once more and flew into the air.
The shadows were persistent. Originally existing as separate entities at Lee Mina’s feet, they had merged with her as one while crossing dimensions.
Initially, the shadows had devoured very little. They only consumed what Lee Mina designated.
Lee Mina’s criteria for consumption were as follows:
Entities directly responsible for Kang In-ho’s death.
Due to the differing times between dimensions, most of the perpetrators were already dead and decayed beyond recognition when Lee Mina arrived.
However, the shadows didn’t care. As long as they could detect traces of death, they could replicate and possess the target’s soul by consuming a part of it.
That was the power of the shadows and a side effect that the Dimension Management God Nibir had failed to consider.
She had misjudged that Lee Mina’s journey would not take long and would soon end.
However, with each Dimensional Shift, the replicated souls accumulated, constantly gnawing at Lee Mina’s mind and attempting to seize control.
Lee Mina resisted. She was the master of the shadows, and her will to follow Kang In-ho was clear.
At first.
During her journey, she encountered many powerful beings and had to face the limits of her strength.
Therefore, Lee Mina had to change the criteria for consumption.
It wasn’t her decision. Rather, the shadows persuaded Lee Mina to do so.
Agreeing with the shadows, she changed the criteria for consumption and devoured those who had directly or indirectly influenced Kang In-ho’s death.
Here, the criteria for ‘indirectly’ were ambiguous, so Lee Mina sometimes devoured entire imperial armies or mercilessly consumed the residents of villages.
The accumulated souls fought over control with Lee Mina, each with their own memories and obsessions, and Lee Mina was gradually eroded.
Unfortunately, the ‘shadows’ had no intention of harming Lee Mina.
They were loyal to their master and origin, Lee Mina, and only suggested ways for her to become stronger.
And they thought she had become strong enough.
Both Lee Mina and the shadows.
However, they were still weak in the face of those powerful beings outside the norm.
“Oh my… you’re still trying to bite me?”
As fragments of the shadow spread along her arm, the Heavenly Demon raised an eyebrow and clenched her fist.
The shadow flew into the sky again. It stretched its body pitifully to get closer to Lee Mina.
Its ends split like outstretched hands.
“Master! Stop it! I’m going to die!”
Kang In-ho interjected in the midst of the brutal assault.
He staggered, with tree branches dangling from his waist and legs.
“Shut up!”
The Heavenly Demon, who was grabbing Lee Mina by the collar, looked down and shouted.
Kang In-ho and the Magical Girl grabbed their ears at the shout filled with vigor.
Eyes flickering like flames and gleaming like blood turned to the disciple at her feet.
“There will be no second command.”
“No, it’s a request!”
“You foolish fellow… do you not understand your Master’s heart?”
“I don’t know why you’re in a bad mood… but please calm down.”
“Calm down? Did you just say calm down? You took the side of those other women in front of me, and after doing something terrible to me, you say calm down?”
The Heavenly Demon struck Lee Mina’s chin again, and most of the shadows attached to her body fell to the ground.
“Ah, no. That’s….”
Kang In-ho trailed off, as if stung by the Heavenly Demon’s words.
‘What, did they have a fight or something?’
The Magical Girl tilted her head as Inho and the woman who had suddenly appeared were arguing.
Kim Sung-ah slowly approached the Saint below the ground.
“Um, excuse me. I have something to ask.”
“Yes, sister who called me a crazy person.”
The Saint with heterochromatic eyes turned around with a bright smile.
“Ah… I’m sorry….”
“Hehe, I was just joking.”
“Ah….”
Are we even in a position to exchange jokes? The Magical Girl didn’t bother to voice her thoughts.
She thought she was ‘normal’, unlike the other women here.
“But what’s the matter?”
“Did that woman over there and that man have a fight?”
“Ah…. Saint scolded that foolish woman.”
“Scolded? It doesn’t look like she’s the one who should be scolded.”
Unless it’s the other way around.
“It’s hard to know where to start explaining.”
Maria muttered and folded her arms, her heavy chest crumpling and shaking.
Kim Sung-ah’s brow furrowed.
“Oh, by the way, please speak comfortably. You look older than me.”
The Magical Girl said with a sociable face.
“I’m twenty-six this year….”
“Wow… you look young for your age. But I’m twenty-two….”
A cold wind swept between the Magical Girl and the Saint.
“…I see. Well, anyway… did you say Magical Girl? What is that?”
“Just… a ‘young woman’ who uses magic, I guess?”
“Hoo… I see.”
Maria raised the greatsword she had put down.
“Then… can I think of you as a ‘Witch’ for now?”
“If I melt you all, you won’t be able to do anything either.”
Black flame erupted from the Heavenly Demon’s hands, which had grabbed Isis from behind, and the surrounding air heated up in an instant.
Isis felt the nanomachines gradually deforming from the heat.
Gleaming flames and a satisfied whine mixed together.
Isis briefly considered turning off the Emotion Module.
“Wait!”
Seconds before Isis turned into molten metal, a familiar voice reached the three women.
“Inho?”
Kang In-ho came running towards the Heavenly Demon in a ridiculous state, with tree branches attached to his waist and legs.
He ran like an ostrich, lifting his knees as high as possible, and each time, tree branches stretched out from the ground and grabbed his ankles.
“Ah, damn it! This is annoying.”
Resisting the clinging tree branches, he gasped for breath.
“Don’t come any closer. It’s dangerous here….”
Despite the Heavenly Demon’s warning, Kang In-ho’s speed didn’t decrease, and Namgung Soyou looked back and forth between him and Isis before withdrawing the Black flame that had risen in her hand.
The heated atmosphere gradually returned to its original temperature, and the warning sounds that had been constantly ringing in Isis’s head stopped abruptly.
“What’s going on?”
“Can you please stop fighting for now?”
As if trying to calm a beast, he showed his palms and spoke to the Heavenly Demon.
“Out of the blue?”
The Heavenly Demon showed her displeasure at the disciple’s attitude of not answering her question and only saying what he wanted to say.
“Can you see over there?”
Kang In-ho pointed to the back, and they saw Lee Mina, who had become obese after eating Alpha, and Chunhyang and the Magical Girl trying to stop her.
“What about it?”
“Huh? No, Mina suddenly became like that? We need to subdue her first….”
“Everyone here knows that Lee Mina became like that.”
“Really?”
Kang In-ho turned his gaze to Isis and Maria, and they nodded slightly.
“Then why… aren’t you coming to help?”
“Why should we help? Just as we are determining our superiority, isn’t the same happening over there?”
‘Of course, I’m the best,’ the Heavenly Demon added.
“That’s not it. It seems like Mina can’t control her power, so she became like that….”
Kang In-ho scratched his head. Even as he explained, tree branches wrapped tightly around his waist and ankles.
“So?”
The Heavenly Demon asked back as if she didn’t understand.
“Huh?”
“Why should I help? If they all perish, it would save me the trouble. Is there any reason to help?”
“Are you serious?”
At the disciple’s words, the Heavenly Demon nodded greatly and put strength into her hand.
Isis’s body sank further into the ground.
“I’m serious. You only need me.”
The Heavenly Demon tried to take her eyes off her disciple and turn her head to Isis.
“Namgung Soyou.”
However, she doubted her ears for a moment at the voice calling her name.
“D, did you just… call my name… your Master’s name….”
As she turned her head back to Kang In-ho, who had called her name in a trembling voice,
Slap
A fierce slap awaited her.
