EP.15 Carelessness

Carelessness
Lee Mina screamed, and black liquid spewed from her mouth.
Lee Mina’s ‘ㄱ’-shaped body flew through the air.
“Weak, undignified… I am beyond disappointed.”
Chunhyang frowned, looking at the traces of Lee Mina on her clothes.
She straightened her disheveled clothes and stood next to Kang In-ho.
“You still seem confused. How pitiful.”
Chunhyang stroked Kang In-ho’s hair, and Kang In-ho twisted his body, but his body, tightly bound to the tree trunk, would not move as he wished.
Lee Mina, who had flown high into the air, regained her composure. She had experienced this much pain many times, crossing worlds.
Lee Mina’s eyes darted in all directions.
“Do you think you can catch me by looking like that?”
Chunhyang’s voice, which had disappeared, began to echo again from all directions. Lee Mina scowled.
As she said, she couldn’t figure out the opponent’s location. Even using the hundreds, thousands of eyes within her, she couldn’t pinpoint her location.
Even though her head was hot with resentment towards Kang In-ho and anger towards Chunhyang, Lee Mina thought.
She realized from the exchange just now that rushing in without knowing the opponent’s location would lead to defeat.
‘It’s not a doppelganger.’
She had a feeling that Chunhyang was real right before the impact. The senses of the many warriors within her do not lie.
‘Mind control beyond illusion… very powerful hypnosis.’
While thinking about various things, one highly probable idea came to mind.
The Lich she had absorbed had also used similar magic.
She focused on hypnosis and thought about how to respond.
‘I need to figure out how hypnosis works.’
Clapping, pendulum, app… there must be conditions for hypnosis to be triggered.
She felt presences from all directions. The sound of the wind blowing and the sound of taut tree trunks being swung like whips.
There was no direct impact on her body, but it continued to stimulate her nerves.
Stress piled up, and her patience dwindled. Things she had taken for granted began to bother her one by one.
To the point where she could even smell unpleasant odors that she hadn’t noticed before.
‘Smell…?’
Lee Mina’s eyes widened.
Perhaps the smell is the beginning of hypnosis.
She quickly examined herself.
Thousands of eyes stared intently at her.
[Hand over your body to me.]
[I can use it better.]
[Hurry, hand it over!]
[Please, let me go to Young master Kang.]
[How rude, why can’t you hand over your body?]
There were eyes that clearly had consciousness and were scolding her, and
[Kkeueoeoeok]
[Ugh… save me….]
[Why, why am I….]
[Where am I? Who am I?]
There were eyes that were losing their ego.
Lee Mina clung to her fading mind. Every time she met their eyes, she felt like she was losing herself.
Mina quickly looked through the eyes. Surely, there would be someone suitable for this situation.
“Young master, leave that vulgar woman alone and let’s go.”
“Where to? It’s already a mess.”
Kang In-ho said, looking around the mountain full of broken trees.
“They were children who grew up dignifiedly, it’s a pity they fell like this. But don’t worry.”
When Chunhyang clapped her hands, stems sprouted from the ground and raised the fallen trees.
The giant trees that were in contact with the earth were forcibly raised, dropping small branches.
The stems wrapped tightly around the trunks of the trees and secured them.
“These children will be fine in a few days.”
“Of all the things I’ve seen crossing various worlds, your ability seems to be the most broken.”
“Thank you for seeing it so favorably.”
Chunhyang smiled shyly at Kang In-ho, who was muttering as if he was dumbfounded.
Behind her, a huge rock flew in, and the trees bowed to block the rock.
With a roar, the rock broke, scattering fragments like a shotgun.
“Ah!”
Stones pouring through the gaps in the intertwined trees flew towards Kang In-ho.
At Chunhyang’s signal, the stems moved to move Kang In-ho’s body, and the rock fragments swept through the spot where he had been.
“How dare you….”
Looking at the deeply gouged ground, Chunhyang turned around.
A sticky black shadow was lifting another rock.
“Don’t look at me with those eyes. It makes me feel bad.”
Chunhyang grinned, baring her teeth, at Lee Mina, who was looking straight into her eyes.
A blood vessel popped out on her forehead.
It was the second rock that Lee Mina threw that signaled the start of the second round.
Since she couldn’t pinpoint Chunhyang’s location, Lee Mina scattered large and small rocks in all directions.
Chunhyang had to move more busily than in the first round due to the barrage of rocks falling over a wide area.
It was to protect Kang In-ho’s safety.
Chunhyang raised a bow made of tree trunks and shot an arrow again.
The arrow flew and pierced Lee Mina’s shoulder, but Lee Mina only staggered for a moment and did not stop moving.
Her clothes became dirty with the rising dust and stone powder.
But even so, Chunhyang did not think about her defeat.
The opponent was still struggling in hypnosis.
If Kang In-ho’s safety was secured, it would not be difficult to twist the neck of that rude Plunderer.
When Chunhyang waved her hand, a tree trunk wrapped around Kang In-ho.
Like a pupa before becoming an adult insect, a tough tree trunk wrapped around Kang In-ho in layers.
“Please wait a little longer.”
Chunhyang, who had reconfirmed Kang In-ho’s safety, ran forward quickly.
The tree trunk wrapped around her hand and turned into a spear.
Chunhyang jumped up, aiming for Lee Mina’s neck.
When her spear came within range, Chunhyang stretched out her arm and thrust the spear.
The sharply honed tip of the spear was aimed at Lee Mina’s neck.
Lee Mina was still turning her back to her. Taking the life of a careless opponent was as easy as picking up a stone on the road.
Chunhyang did not say undignified words like ‘die’ or ‘take this’.
She was just quietly killing the invader who had recklessly set foot in her world.
It was when the tip of her spear was about to touch Lee Mina’s soft neck.
With the sound of bones breaking, Lee Mina’s neck turned.
As blood and flesh went awry, the spear missed.
“!!!!”
Chunhyang’s body leaned forward, and she met Lee Mina’s empty eyes.
“Among the things I ate, there was someone who couldn’t smell.”
Lee Mina snatched Chunhyang’s wrist and raised her other hand. Her black hand, transformed into a sharp knife, headed for Chunhyang’s face.
