EP.10 Reverse-1

Reverse-1
‘Ugh… my arm hurts.’
It was all well and good that I split Kim Jin-tae’s aluminum bat in two with such bravado.
But my arm started to ache, and I could feel a dull pain spreading throughout my entire arm.
In truth, Kang In-ho didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.
At first, he was just going to smooth things over and take Yoon Sia away.
That would have been the case if the people trying to harm Yoon Sia were just thugs.
But…
“Inho, are you okay? But it’s really not me… it’s a misunderstanding. It’s really a misunderstanding.”
After learning that the person who tried to hurt her was someone related to him, he changed his mind and decided to punish them thoroughly.
So that they wouldn’t even think about it again.
The biggest of the six used his physique to push Inho.
Inho slowly retreated, dodging the wildly swinging fists by a hair’s breadth.
Even so, he kicked the guy who had fallen down while rushing in the first time, knocking him down again.
As he gradually retreated, the remaining four, emboldened, began to rush in all at once.
Each of them was holding something in their hands, which was quite threatening.
If he were Kang In-ho from the martial arts world, he could have endured a blow or two from such attacks, but unfortunately, his current body is untrained.
He can mimic the principles of Yomryun Skill, but techniques and durability that can only be achieved with Inner Force are currently beyond his reach.
“Whew, almost got hit.”
Kang In-ho let out a sigh of relief as he dodged a wooden stick that came flying at him, arching his back.
As he took one step back after another, he eventually retreated to where Yoon Sia was.
“Inho?”
Inho turned to look at Yoon Sia, who was staring blankly at him.
“Why aren’t you filming? You need to film it so you can say it was self-defense later.”
He said, catching the wooden sticks that came flying at him again with his elbows and knees.
When the opponent struggled to pull out the firmly fixed wooden stick, Inho let it go with a flick.
The opponent, losing his balance, staggered back for a moment, and Inho didn’t miss the opportunity and kicked off the ground.
He leaped into the air and grabbed the opponent’s head with both arms and brought him down.
The face, pulled down by the rough hands, directly hit the incoming knee, and one person fell.
“First, one down.”
Inho, hearing the sensation and sound of something breaking, immediately lowered his body.
Another baseball bat swept past where his head had been.
Shifting his center of gravity as if sliding, Inho punched the opponent’s empty side.
The opponent, struck by the unexpected blow, let out a whooshing sound and fell forward.
“Two.”
Four opponents remaining.
Inho quickly scanned his surroundings to assess the situation.
One guy was taking care of his fallen friends, two guys were hesitating in confusion, and one guy was trying to pick up the baseball bat that had fallen on the ground.
Inho turned his body, using his left foot as a pivot, and launched a kick.
The guy who couldn’t react to the fast kick was knocked backward.
“Three.”
And a straight punch to the guy right next to him.
“Four.”
Two remaining. Inho pondered his next target.
The guy who picked up the weapon, or the guy who was still helping his friend.
His deliberation was short, and his actions were quick.
Inho quickly approached the guy with the wooden bat.
The terrified opponent swung the baseball bat wildly, and Inho hesitated whether to dodge it or not, then launched the kick he had done earlier.
With a thud! The leg and the bat formed a cross.
And with a cracking sound, the bat broke in two.
Inho, desperately ignoring the tingling sensation in his leg, poked the opponent’s Adam’s apple with his fingertips.
If it had been infused with Inner Force, it would have pierced the opponent’s neck, but fortunately, it only strongly struck his larynx.
“Five.”
Inho approached the opponent who had lost his will to fight and delivered a soccer kick to his face.
And so…
“Six… Want more?”
Inho, who had quickly resolved the situation, asked Kim Jin-tae, who was glaring at him from behind as if he wanted to kill him.
“……”
Kim Jin-tae, who was just now coming out of his initial shock, glared at him with wide eyes.
However, Inho could tell. That eighty percent of the emotion in those eyes was fear.
“Leaving?”
He glanced at the people sprawled out in the park without any emotion and turned around.
“Inho!!!”
Shin Jeonga threw herself at him from behind, as if clinging to him, and Inho twisted his body to avoid it.
Shin Jeonga ended up throwing herself onto the hard park floor, scraping her palms and chin severely on the ground.
“Ah… it hurts… Inho! Don’t go! Just listen to me for a moment!”
One would think he would at least turn around if she got hurt like this, but Kang In-ho didn’t even glance at her and approached the woman she hated.
“Can you walk?”
A voice full of tenderness was directed at another woman, not her.
Shin Jeonga felt the pain in her heart more than the pain in her hands and chin.
And so, Kang In-ho and Yoon Sia gradually moved away from her sight.
Inho supported Yoon Sia and returned home.
While supporting her, Inho was secretly worried. The reason was that he could feel his arm and leg, which had broken the baseball bat, swelling up more and more.
‘A sprained ligament… or a fracture…’
While calmly checking his condition, he didn’t show Yoon Sia that he was in pain.
He knew she would worry unnecessarily.
Inho didn’t ask Yoon Sia about the situation unnecessarily, and Yoon Sia didn’t explain the situation to Inho unnecessarily.
Only silence flowed on the hill leading back to his house.
The two arrived home and headed to the kitchen.
“Ah… the rice is all cold.”
Inho didn’t hide his disappointment at the cold rice and side dishes.
“Would you… like to eat some anyway?”
It was funny to ask if she wanted to eat after what had happened, but it was the best consideration Inho could offer.
“Yeah…”
Yoon Sia nodded with a dazed look.
And so, an awkward meal began.
Clatter, clatter.
Only the sound of utensils clashing echoed.
As the meal progressed, Yoon Sia’s tension eased, and she finally began to realize what she had just been through.
“Ugh… uh…”
And so, tears welled up.
“Sob, uh…”
Her heart, which had been fine in the park, was now pounding belatedly.
Yoon Sia put down her spoon and shed tears like chicken droppings onto the table for a long time.
“…It’s okay.”
Inho, who was already beside her, slowly patted her back.
Yoon Sia thought that the way he stroked her back from top to bottom to comfort her gave her the feeling of an older man.
After a tearful and comforting dinner, Yoon Sia, who was in no condition to teach, quietly sat on the living room sofa and calmed her startled heart.
The hot chocolate that Inho had made seemed to have some effect on calming her down, and she was in much better condition than when she had first entered the house.
“I’ll make sure to clear things up at school tomorrow.”
“Oh… yeah… Inho, are you hurt anywhere?”
“No, I’m not.”
He smiled, showing his gums, as if to show her that he was fine.
“That’s a relief… It’s getting late now…”
She couldn’t bring herself to say, “I’ll go.”
She was too afraid of the situation outside this comfortable house.
Would it be okay if Inho took her to the bus stop?
No, that girl knows where I get off.
Maybe she even knows where I live.
As she thought that, she opened her mouth and gaped like a goldfish.
Yoon Sia, you coward.
She reproached herself inwardly.
“Teacher, would you like to sleep here tonight?”
Next to her, as she was hesitating, an unexpected offer was heard.
