Problem Child-4
Yoon Sia, having finished her tutoring session, headed to a café.
It was a place famous as a study café within her area, but in reality, the owner of the café had no intention of running their business as a study café.
However, as numerous “caffè-people” (people who study in cafes) began to gather in groups of three or five at the large tables on the second floor, it became known as a study café by word of mouth.
Yoon Sia ordered a 1L iced Americano and then unpacked her belongings at a table somewhat in the corner.
-Ting
Her phone’s alarm went off.
[Illuni Café: 4500 won]
It was an alert for the coffee she had just paid for.
“When is the tutoring fee coming in…”
She muttered as she went into her banking app to check her balance.
The banking app, accessed after entering her security pattern, blatantly revealed her meager balance.
At the ridiculously small number of digits, she unknowingly let out a long sigh.
-Vrrr
While struggling with financial difficulties, the vibrating pager rang.
She left her phone on the table and went downstairs to get her coffee.
After bringing the coffee back, she picked up her phone again.
The banking app was briefly synchronizing, checking for new data.
[Deposit: 1,500,000]
[Memo: Tutoring Fee]
“It’s in!”She exclaimed loudly at the sight of the long-awaited tutoring fee, and the “caffè-족” around her subtly gave her disapproving looks.”
“……..”
Embarrassed by the attention, the smile on Yoon Sia’s face did not disappear.
The subjects she was in charge of were language, mathematics, and foreign languages. The conditions set by the parents were not very demanding either.
Just maintain a grade of 5 or higher – a condition that would make any tutor doubt their ears.
Three times a week, twelve times a month.
Two hours each time, six hours a week, twenty-four hours a month.
1,500,000 won for 24 hours.
This was the reason she continued tutoring, even while being treated like an invisible person by the student.
“Ah… now I can breathe a little.”
She sent more than half of the money she received to her family’s account, letting out a sigh of relief as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders.
She took a pen out of her pencil case and twirled it between her fingers.
Yoon Sia replayed the events of the day in her mind.
The student always lay in bed, either on his phone or sleeping, whenever she arrived.
So why was he so enthusiastic in class today?
To deceive her?
No, he would ignore her, but he wasn’t the type of kid to bother with such acting.
Yoon Sia’s mind became complicated.
“Did he suddenly take some kind of medicine?”
Recalling his serious attitude in class, she pouted.
“Could he have turned over a new leaf?”
She considered the possibility.
It was unlikely that he had been scolded by his parents overseas.
If his parents’ nagging could correct his behavior, he would have already become a model student.
“Ah… should I trust him this once?”
As he said, it might just be that he developed a simple interest.
She began to organize the content for the next lesson in her notebook.
It was a task she had never skipped since she started tutoring.
However, she could tell that she was in a slightly uplifted mood today.
“Will he listen well in the next class too?”
Yoon Sia hoped that Inho’s interest would continue.
A strange expectation lingered in her hand as she moved the pen.
Drugs, of all things. It meant that things I had never even encountered in my life were now lying around on the floor of this room.
Even though I didn’t buy or use them, if this were to be discovered, I would be the one punished.
“Hey, are you okay?”
A student with a youthful face touched my face.
Her actions, filled with worry, were overwhelming.
I raised my hands, grabbed the girl’s arms, and pulled them away from my face.
At my rejection, Ah looked up at me from below with a face like an abandoned puppy.
“Do you not like it?”
Too familiar to be a friend, yet a subtle caution stood like a wall, preventing us from being lovers.
“No, I just don’t feel well.”
Moving away from the distance where I could feel her breath, I took out water from the refrigerator.
I took the transparent plastic bottle and went straight up to the second floor.
Opening the door revealed a tidy room.
Ah, for some reason, was happy and entered the room before I did, immediately sitting on the bed.
“Wow, your room is really nice. It’s about the size of three rooms in my house combined.”
As if testing the performance of the mattress, she shook her body up and down.
The bed creaked, and Ah’s bulging chest shook.
It was a sight that would arouse the sexual desire of any man of this age, but I was rather cautious.
I might get caught by the Juvenile Protection Act.
“So, are we doing it here today?”
Leaning diagonally on the bed, Ah asked with an expectant voice.
“Doing what.”
I answered immediately.
As if it wasn’t the answer she expected, Ah looked at me with a bizarre expression.
It was as if I had rejected an offer she couldn’t refuse.
“Is it a side effect of Peniam?”
Hearing Ah mutter, I couldn’t help but let out a hollow laugh.
There were side effects of Peniam. I am the proof.
Whether it was misuse, abuse, or just that it didn’t suit my body…
The owner of this body had dabbled in something called Peniam and died.
And according to the rules of possession, I came to possess this body.
“So, now that you’ve seen my condition, can you leave?”
When I said that to her, whose name I didn’t even know if it was Kim Ah or Choi Ah, she puffed out her cheeks as if I were being petty.
“Aww~ Why~ I won’t go to karaoke without you either.”
Ah lay on the bed in a starfish position and flailed her arms.
“Weren’t you happy that you got your liquor license?”
She glanced at me.
“Did you think I liked drinking alcohol?”
Whether she didn’t like my answer, she turned her back to me and turned away.
Unexpected, I thought that kids who hang out would naturally like alcohol.
“Hey, I said get up.”
I said, approaching the bed.
Ah still had her back to me and didn’t react at all.
I’m going crazy, I need to get her out of here so I can study the surrounding relationships.
“Hey, hey.”
I poked the back of her shoulder with my finger.
“……..”
I poked her with quite a bit of force, enough to hurt, but there was no reaction.
It felt like we were still running parallel, so this time I grabbed her shoulder and pulled her towards me.
Then, Ah’s face, which had been facing the wall, turned back towards the ceiling.
“Got you!”
She quickly turned her body and grabbed my arm with both hands.
Soft hands wrapped around my arm.
Then she pulled my arm towards her chest, and I lost my balance and fell forward.
No unfortunate events like our bodies overlapping occurred.
However, due to the arm I extended to avoid falling, it looked as if I was pinning her down and occupying her from above.
“What are you doing?”
Suppressing the rising annoyance, I asked, and Ah smiled brightly.
If a fox turned into a human, wouldn’t it look like this? Just as I was thinking that, Ah raised her chin slightly and looked up at me.
“Inho~ Let’s do it here~”
