Problem Child-3
I didn’t reply to the message right away.
The name saved as [Jung Ah♡] made me wonder if she was my girlfriend, but after looking through our past conversations, it didn’t seem like it.
The conversation was one-sided.
She mainly sent long messages, and I replied with short, perfunctory answers.
Jeong-a♡: You read it early today? Are you awake?
As I continued to read through the previous messages, she subtly urged me to reply.
I moved my finger and sent a circle consonant.
Jung Ah♡: Wow, Kang In-ho replying this fast hahaha
If we were dating, it would have been a reply that could lead to a fight, but she seemed quite satisfied with my reaction.
Jung-Ah♡: So, are you coming today?
I was struggling to think of what to say when she kept talking to me.
She asked if I was going to the karaoke. I refused with a short answer.
To begin with, I couldn’t even guess my relationship with that group, and I wasn’t energetic enough to drink and play at a karaoke.
Jung-Ah♡: Whyyyy?
The girl named Jung-ah didn’t seem to like my answer.
I made a very standard excuse that I wasn’t feeling well and flipped my phone over.
It was more urgent to get what I could from the things in this house first.
A two-story detached house. Judging from the surrounding scenery, it was located in a very affluent neighborhood.
With a house this big, there should be a roommate, but for some reason, there were only traces of one person’s life.
Even that was only in the bathroom and my room on the second floor. There weren’t many traces of people in this large house.
“The parents might be working far away, or I might be a black sheep.”
The desolate kitchen seemed to tell a lot.
The cold living room floor and the dusty rooms on the first floor.
It felt like a clean abandoned house.
I went back to my room.
When I turned the phone back on, there were dozens of messages from the girl named Jung-ah.
It seemed like she had a group to hang out with, but was my not going that important?
“Am I free enough to hang out with you guys…”
I muttered as I flopped onto the bed.
My body was a student, but my mind was already an old man.
We wouldn’t be compatible, and there would be differences in our shared common sense.
It was better to play it safe than to go out and be treated like a weirdo.
About 4 hours since I possessed this dimension.
I didn’t get much information.
Gathering the scattered clues like dust, I could tell that,
‘I’ was quite a delinquent.
Delinquent? That also seemed like an old-fashioned expression.
The probability of me being a hikikomori who locks himself in his room and refuses to communicate was close to 0 based on the contents of the messages.
Most of the messages were things that didn’t suit a student.
“A seriously twisted life.”
I’d probably get caught up in an incident and die soon anyway, but even if there wasn’t a clingy girl, I had a feeling this life would have a lot of ups and downs.
I closed my eyes for a moment to rest my tired mind.
About 30 minutes passed, and I suddenly opened my eyes at a sound.
What woke me up from the comfortable bed was the same doorbell as when Yoon Sia visited.
I wondered if my family had come, so I opened the window, and there was a girl in tight sweatpants in front of the gate.
“Hey! Kang In-ho!”
After ringing the doorbell a few times, she called my name loudly.
An alien sound spread through the quiet neighborhood.
Why don’t the people who come to this house ever give up?
Annoyed by the relentless ringing of the doorbell, I got up.
“Ah, I should have gotten suspended like you… then I could rest at home.”
“I don’t know why that bastard only stabbed you. Honestly, Jin-tae hit him more, didn’t he?”
While passing through the gate and heading to the front door, the unwelcome visitor’s mouth didn’t stop.
She kept talking while openly looking at the interior.
“But this is my first time coming into this house. We always met in front of the house, right? I honestly wanted to come in.”
She, who I assumed was Jung-ah based on the situation, kept spilling information.
She followed me, looking around the house.
“So, why did you come?”
I asked as I entered the living room.
“I heard you weren’t feeling well, so I came to see you. But… you look fine?”
Her eyes scanned me up and down.
Judging from what she was saying, she was definitely the ‘Jung-Ah♡’ from the messages.
“No, I don’t have any energy. I have a headache too.”
I pulled my face back and averted my gaze.
“Really? You do look a bit haggard.”
“Ah, is it because of that?”
She thought for a moment and then spoke as if she knew the cause.
“That?”
“Penniam. I heard you got it.”
Penniam?
I think that’s what was written on the medicine bottle that was rolling around as soon as I woke up…
I opened my phone and searched for Penniam.
[Penniam – Namuwiki: Main Page]
I clicked on the document registered on the wiki site.
[1. Overview]
[Penniam is a powerful narcotic…]
“Inho? Why are you suddenly like that? Your face is pale?”
I need to correct my assessment that it’s a ‘seriously twisted life.’
This is a hopeless, trashy life.
I think I know now why I was able to possess this body.
