EP.10 Look at These Guys-6
by Shini
Look at These Guys?
How many times in my life have I experienced a crisis like this?
An unfamiliar terror slowly consumed Yoon Sia’s body.
But that unknown fear, as slow as it was, steadily opened its jaws and swallowed Yoon Sia whole.
Yoon Sia felt her blood drying up and felt slightly dizzy.
She staggered from the sudden dizziness, and to make matters worse, her trembling legs couldn’t support her body.
-Thud
Yoon Sia, who had fallen on her butt like that, could only watch the children approaching her, unable to make a loud noise or retreat.
“You, you guys, this is a crime…!”
The words she managed to squeeze out while trembling didn’t seem to have any effect on the children.
No, rather, they just smirked at her, raising their lips crookedly.
As six men, who were much taller than her, approached, Yoon Sia’s breath quickened.
She moved her body, supporting herself with her hands behind her, but only maximized her desperation, failing to widen the distance between them at all.
Before she knew it, the men who had narrowed the distance blocked her from behind.
The barrier created by two pairs of legs blocked her escape route.
And the remaining four stood beside her, looking down.
“Wh-what…”
Shin Jeonga’s footsteps responded to Yoon Sia’s squeezed voice.
Shin Jeonga approached Yoon Sia again with light steps.
“I was originally just going to give you a warning.”
Shin Jeonga said in a cheerful voice, crouching down to meet her eye level.
And then, a moment of silence.
Shin Jeonga scratched the side of her head.
“But the way you act is so annoying… I can’t just let it go.”
Yoon Sia’s body stiffened as she glimpsed a fragment of emotion in Shin Jeonga’s narrowly narrowed eyes.
“So… what should I do…”
At a distance where they could feel each other’s breath, Shin Jeonga admired Yoon Sia’s frightened face.
Shin Jeonga felt a thrill at the sight of that annoying face that had subtly looked at her in front of the school gate, now covered in fear.
Should I burn her face? No, it shouldn’t be too obvious.
Then should I slap her cheek? That’s too weak.
Should I break her leg?
Ah… that seems like a good idea… If her leg is broken, she won’t be able to come to tutoring, right?
“Well, I don’t know what the reason is, but…”
Yoon Sia tried to beg for safety from Shin Jeonga, who was contemplating,
“Shut your mouth, you bitch. Is this a situation for you to open your mouth?”
Shin Jeonga retaliated by slapping her cheek.
The sound of the slap echoed through the deserted park, followed by a dull thud.
“What’s that sound?”
Just as someone was about to turn their head to look for the source of the sound, the two men who had been blocking Yoon Sia’s rear slumped down like a mud wall collapsing in the rain.
“Huh?”
They were making bewildered noises, seemingly not even knowing why they had collapsed.
Someone grabbed Yoon Sia by the back of her neck and lifted her up.
Yoon Sia only let out ‘Uh’, ‘Uh?’ sounds at the sudden rise.
And with a sensation of being quickly moved backward, Yoon Sia was dragged away, fluttering like a paper doll.
“The food’s getting cold, what are you doing here?”
Just as she was surprised by the forceful but gentle touch, a familiar voice scolded her from behind.
It was a familiar voice, Kang In-ho.
Kang In-ho’s appearance was unexpected, but it wasn’t enough to significantly change the atmosphere of the park.
Shin Jeonga was quite embarrassed by his appearance, but Kim Jin-tae, who had gathered people in the first place targeting Inho, thought it was a good thing.
Originally, he had planned to give Yoon Sia a small warning, send Shin Jeonga back, and then call out Kang In-ho to deal with him.
But for him to come here himself like this, Kim Jin-tae thought he had saved himself some trouble.
“Six faces I don’t know, and two faces I do.”
Kang In-ho said in a carefree voice, as if his eyes had already adjusted to the darkness.
Yeah, try to act tough.
Kim Jin-tae knows Kang In-ho’s fighting skills well. Objectively, Kang In-ho, as Kim Jin-tae remembers him, is a pretty decent fighter.
But he wouldn’t be able to handle seven people at once.
“So, what’s the situation? Is it the kind of situation I’m thinking of?”
Kang In-ho asked, looking around, but no one answered him.
Kang In-ho, who had already taken Yoon Sia and distanced himself, was hiding her behind his back and slowly moving towards them.
He clearly seemed to have every intention of fighting.
“Ah, teacher. Please hold this for a moment.”
Kang In-ho threw something at Yoon Sia, who still had a bewildered look on her face.
Yoon Sia struggled to catch what he had thrown.
“Please record this.”
Kang In-ho shrugged at Yoon Sia, who had a look on her face that said, ‘What are you going to do with this?’
“So, explain it to me? I don’t like saying things twice.”
Kang In-ho’s face turned back to the group.
“Bullshit.”
Someone cut him off.
Kim Jin-tae and the male students began to slowly approach Kang In-ho.
“Hey, Kim Jin-tae. What are you doing?”
Shin Jeonga asked Kim Jin-tae from behind, as if she was blaming him.
Kim Jin-tae turned to look at Shin Jeonga.
“What?”
“Why Inho?”
“Then what? Are we just going to leave him alone? You were the one who told me to deal with him first.”
Kim Jin-tae smirked, and Shin Jeonga said urgently.
“When did I ever say to deal with Inho too! I only meant that girl…! Inho! This is a misunderstanding! I really, really didn’t mean it….”
Shin Jeonga appealed to Kang In-ho with a face that looked almost like she was begging, which further irritated Kim Jin-tae.
“Ah… this is fucked up. Always Kang In-ho, Kang In-ho.”
He muttered quietly, picked up an aluminum bat that had fallen on the ground.
“What, is this a revenge match from the cafeteria?”
Kang In-ho asked with a smirk, and Kim Jin-tae’s face crumpled in anger.
He really didn’t like that relaxed attitude.
“If you apologize now, I might just let you go? Seriously.”
“Fuck off.”
Kim Jin-tae, who ran forward, swung the bat down from above.
It was both an attack and a threat.
The bat that was swung down struck Kang In-ho’s shoulder.
A heavy sound was heard.
“Inho!”
“No! Inho!!”
Yoon Sia and Shin Jeonga’s shouts echoed through the park.
“Acting tough?”
Kim Jin-tae, who had become even more upset by those worried voices, sneered at Kang In-ho.
It was when he bent down to see Kang In-ho’s face contorted in pain.
“Hey, Kim Jin-tae.”
Inho’s low, sunken voice echoed throughout the space.
Kim Jin-tae was taken aback by the small but large, contradictory situation, and Kang In-ho raised his head, which he had been lowering.
His coldly sunken eyes were shining as if they were piercing through him.
“Now it’s self-defense, right?”
As soon as those words were finished, Kang In-ho grabbed the end of the bat with his left hand.
Kim Jin-tae tried to pull the bat out, but the bat didn’t budge as if it was fixed to something solid.
Kang In-ho raised his right hand. As if striking with a sword, his hand blade fell towards Kim Jin-tae.
He closed his eyes in preparation for the impact due to the faster-than-expected speed.
But the pain didn’t come.
However, his right hand suddenly felt lighter.
Kim Jin-tae slowly opened his eyes.
“…Sh-shit….”
He tried to accept the situation in front of him.
The aluminum bat was broken in two, held in each other’s hands.
Kang In-ho threw the upper part of the bat on the ground as if throwing away trash.
Then he turned around and said to Yoon Sia.
“Please record this well. This is self-defense.”
And then a powerful front kick.
Kim Jin-tae, who was kicked in the stomach, flew straight back.
“Okay, hurry up and attack.”
A fight without any preparation.
The six, excluding Kim Jin-tae, rushed at Kang In-ho at the same time.
“Fire pun… I can’t do that. I don’t have Inner Force.”
Kang In-ho muttered regretfully, tripping one of the people rushing at him.
