    Guidance-2

“Alright, class is over… You actually focused for once?”

Yoon Sia tapped the textbook on the desk and started packing her things.

Lately, she’d seemed displeased with something during class, but today, that wasn’t the case.

    “Yeah, well….”

Usually, Shin Jeonga would barge into the room twenty minutes after class started and distract everyone, but today, she was quietly in her room for some reason.

“It was quiet for me too, so I actually enjoyed teaching for once.”

Yoon Sia put the textbook in her bag and smiled.

Yoon Sia took a sip of the drink left in her cup and put it back on the desk.

Droplets of condensation trickled down the surface of the cup and fell onto the desk.

“It’s already the weekend. Do you have any plans for tomorrow?”

Inho asked about her Saturday plans as he opened the door and headed downstairs to the first floor.

“For me, it’s the same as always. The hospital doesn’t differentiate between weekdays and weekends. But they’ve been getting a lot better lately, so I’ve been spending less time at the hospital.”

“They’ve improved a lot, it seems?”

“Yeah. They’ve regained a lot of energy, and their progress is good, so it seems like they won’t need any additional surgery.”

    “That’s a relief. Really.”

At Inho’s sincere words, Yoon Sia gave him a deep smile and stared at him intently.

How could he speak so beautifully? She felt like she was looking at a working adult, not a high school student.

“Anyway, I have some free time now, so I’m going to catch up on some studying this weekend.”

Yoon Sia said as she walked down the stairs.

    “Studying?”

    Inho grimaced, and she chuckled.

“My exams are coming up soon too. I have to work hard to keep my scholarship.”

    “Wow… you’re really amazing.”

Inho said in a bored tone.

“I’ll go to the hospital… then study at my usual cafe until about nine, and then go home.”

She looked up and thought about her schedule for tomorrow.

“The second floor there is quiet enough to be perfect for studying. Inho, what are you going to do on the weekend?”

“Study and laze around at home.”

    He shrugged.

“Okay, try to improve your grades this time and surprise your parents. I want to get a bonus.”

    She patted his shoulder kindly.

    “You’re so materialistic.”

Inho narrowed his eyes and glared at her, and Sia giggled and went down the stairs first.

    He followed her down.

At the end of the second-floor hallway, the door to the guest room was slightly open.

After seeing Yoon Sia off, Inho briefly considered having a late-night snack.

Since he didn’t have anything special to do tomorrow, he felt an impulsive desire to eat his fill and sleep in.

“Ah… I have to watch my weight.”

He touched his increasingly soft upper arm and quenched his thirst with water.

    “……”

Kang Inho drank water and looked at the ceiling.

No, to be precise, he was looking as if he was piercing through the floor above the ceiling.

Could she be feeling unwell? He worried about Shin Jeonga.

He put the water bottle back in the refrigerator, turned off all the lights on the first floor, and headed to the second floor.

He headed to the guest room at the end of the hallway.

    -Knock knock

He knocked, but there was no sound.

But Inho couldn’t possibly miss the small sign of life.

    “I’m coming in.”

A notice without asking for permission, Inho counted to three and opened the door.

Like seeing a cocoon made by a caterpillar, something was rising up like a mound over the blanket.

Judging by the height, it seemed like she was sitting down and had pulled the blanket over herself.

    “Are you not feeling well?”

There was no particular answer to Inho’s question.

There was only the movement of the blanket, twitching slightly.

“Do you want to go to the hospital?”

He could see her shaking her head inside the blanket.

Inho pressed his fingers to the bridge of his nose.

She had been like this ever since he went to the hospital, went out for a while because she had an appointment, and came back.

Even if he asked, she didn’t really answer. However, she made it obvious like this, as if wanting him to notice.

Responsibility and sympathy for Shin Jeonga were painted over with Kang Inho’s unique annoyance.

    “…Is something wrong?”

He took a few steps closer to her.

Then, like a carnivorous plant opening its mouth, the blanket spread open, and Shin Jeonga, wearing a tracksuit, pulled him in for a hug.

    “Whoa!”

Inho let out a small cry and balanced himself with his uncomfortable leg.

She hid her face by burying it in his chest.

    “Inho.”

His name, spoken with hot breath, tickled his chest.

    “What.”

He reflexively lowered his hand, which he had raised to stroke her hair.

It was a habit he had when his Divine Doctor would cling to him and rub her face against him.

Shin Jeonga caught her breath in his chest.

    Her body trembled.

It couldn’t have been because the room was cold.

“Today… can’t we really do it? Slowly, gently, without overdoing it.”

    “…No.”

Why does she keep doing this? He had a headache.

Even though men are said to be driven by sexual desire, he wasn’t so twisted as to feel desire for a child who only seemed young and had a big age gap with him.

    “Inho, Inho.”

She seeks him, who is in front of her and can be touched by her hands.

    “I’m here.”

He didn’t completely ignore her psychological anxiety, so he replied appropriately.

    “Don’t abandon me. Okay?”

“Why would I abandon you… I said I’d take responsibility.”

It wasn’t something he had done, but he intended to take responsibility.

    “…….”

But those words seemed to hurt her even more, and the strength of her arms constricting him increased.

    “Even if there’s no baby…?”

Those words, muttered very quietly and carefully.

    Inho didn’t miss it.

    “What does that mean?”

Inho didn’t realize that his voice had hardened a little compared to before.

    “Eung… it’s nothing. I didn’t say anything.”

Shin Jeonga released her arms and took her face away.

Her face, awkwardly smiling, looked like it was about to collapse soon.

“Jeonga. If there’s a problem, you have to tell me… that’s how we can solve it.”

Pressing down on his frustration, Inho offered gentle advice.

    “Yeah, I know. Thank you.”

She pulled up the corners of her mouth as much as possible and gently pushed his body.

It was a signal that she wanted to be alone.

Even as he was pushed back by that weak force, Inho continued to look at Shin Jeonga.

Was that worried gaze sweet or something?

    Shin Jeonga smiled and said.

“I’ll solve it myself this time. And if it doesn’t work out, I’ll tell you then.”

    “Oh… okay, then.”

“Oh, right. What are you doing tomorrow?”

“Me? I’m going to rest at home. What about you?”

“I’m going to meet a friend for a bit. It’s a dinner appointment.”

“Will you be late? Where are you going?”

“I might be a little late.”

Shin Jeonga pursed her lips and added.

    “I think I’m going to a cafe…”

Her eyes glanced slightly to the side.
