Elf Rescue [Elf Resistance Force and Enemy Movement Routes]

As I praised and stroked Nisa’s head, she smiled bashfully.

    “Heeheehee~ I like Your Majesty’s touch.”

Following my instructions, the Elf army attacked the Baron’s territory ahead.

The main objective was to rescue Elf slaves, so the Elf soldiers raided the Baron’s mansion and entertainment district.

The Elves killed every human they saw and burned down buildings.

We rescued all the Elves who were sex slaves in the Baron’s mansion, those imprisoned in the basement, and those who were prostituting themselves.

We captured five more people from noble families who knew about the Elf slaves.

When I requested that the Demon slaves also be suffering, so they should be released, the Elves didn’t particularly touch the Demon slaves.

However, I couldn’t stop a few Elves, caught up in the madness of war, from killing Demon slaves.

The Demon slaves had heard news of the God of Darkness and were calling the God of Darkness’s country ‘Dreamland’ or ‘Eden’.

The Demon slaves, freed from the Slave Chokers when their nobles died, fled to the Elf Kingdom’s forest, which the God of Darkness had supposedly occupied.

The Demon slaves would be able to completely remove their Slave Chokers in the Kyle Holy Kingdom.

The Elf army continued to move south, raiding the territories of nobles they saw, rescuing Elf slaves, massacring humans, and burning down buildings.

The noble allied forces had already been defeated, so there were hardly any troops in the territories, allowing them to raid without much damage.

Marquis Naos’s army would surely be chasing from behind, so the Elves endured with their mental strength and even marched at night, managing to reach the river to the south.

The Elf Resistance army, which had started with 5,000 soldiers, had dwindled to 3,784 due to deaths in the meantime,

but we had liberated 2,424 Elf slaves from the noble territories and removed their Slave Chokers.

Among them, 1,071 were adults capable of combat, so the total number of soldiers became 5,137.

When the river appeared, Lirei asked me.

    “Shall we cross the river?”

“We must. We’ll make a vine bridge with plant magic.”

After Lirei and the Elf officers checked the plant mages, they reported to me.

“There are a total of 876 plant mages, but they don’t seem to be in good condition due to the continued march. If we force the vine bridge in this state, there’s a risk that their concentration will be disrupted midway, and the bridge will collapse.”

I pondered for a moment and then said.

“Even if we cross this river, there might be troops sent by Marquis Naos who have found out in advance.”

“Are you saying that Marquis Naos’s army is divided into two, with one heading south through Count Paraik’s territory and the other heading south on the opposite side of the river?”

“That’s right. If that happens, even if we cross the river, we’ll encounter the enemy’s army while exhausted. We’ll camp here and let all the Elves eat their fill.”

    “Understood.”

Lirei, along with the Elf officers, directed the construction of the Elf army’s campsite.

The Elf mages erected a barricade of thorny bushes around the army,

the Elf warriors and archers pitched the tents they had taken from the humans,

and the ordinary Elves cooked with the food they had taken from the humans.

After eating dinner and as night fell, I said to Lirei and the Elf officers.

“I’m going to go see the other side with Nisa.”

    Lirei hurriedly stopped me.

    “It’s too dangerous! You can’t!”

“It’s okay. Nisa can carry me and fly, and I have a trump card too. The Elves will be safe only if I see the other side.”

As I earnestly persuaded them, Lirei and the Elf officers stood at attention with determined faces and saluted me.

    “Loyalty! Then please return safely!”

    Lirei vowed.

“I will definitely protect the Elf Resistance while the Commander-nim is away!”

    “Good resolve.”

Nisa hugged me tightly and flew into the dark night sky, worried.

“Honey. Are you going to be okay?”

“Yeah. I’m originally the God of Darkness, after all. And I can fly too.”

    “Okay.”

“Our goal isn’t just to see Marquis Naos’s army. We’re going to meet the mountain Trolls in the southeast.”

    “Huh?”

“We need to get help from the mountain Trolls.”

    “I see!”

As Nisa carried me up to a considerable height, invisible from below, I spread my Tentacle wings and dropped from Nisa.

Nisa and I flew quickly to the southeast, and we could see an army camping in the plains to the north.

Because I am the God of Darkness, I could see well even in the darkness.

    I said to Nisa.

“That army is probably Marquis Naos sending troops, expecting us to cross the river.”

“If it’s a Marquis, doesn’t he have quite a lot of soldiers?”

“Probably. According to the information I received, the Marquis’s forces consist of approximately 24,000 soldiers and 56 knights. But not all of them will have come. There’s also the army sent to Count Paraik’s territory, and there are troops guarding the Marquisate.”

“The Elves will definitely survive only if we get help from the mountain Trolls.”

Nisa and I flew at high speed to the mountain where the mountain Trolls were.

Below, we could see a Troll village consisting of huge huts and burrows.

Nisa and I landed in the center of the Troll village.

The Trolls on guard duty discovered us and shouted.

“It’s a Fairy and an Elf!”

Since I was still operating the Concealment Flowers on both shoulders, the Trolls didn’t detect the immense dark energy within me.

Trolls with eyes shining like beasts rushed out of the huts and burrows, surrounding us and threatening us.

“Hureureup! Delicious Fairy and Elf meat!”

“Keureureureu! Did you come looking to die?!”

A male Troll, about 3.5m tall, walked over with a sneer and reached out his huge right hand to grab me.

“I’ll eat you alive, especially. Kelkelkel.”

I grabbed the Troll’s right index finger with my left hand and twisted it with powerful force.

    Ppadeudeudeuk

The Troll’s finger joints twisted, and the Troll knelt in pain and screamed.

“Kuaaaaa! It hurts! My finger! Kuaang!”

I shook the index finger while it was twisted.

The Troll writhed in pain and tried to pull his arm away, but it wouldn’t come off at all.

“Kuaaaa! How can you be so strong!! Ayaya!! Stop for a moment!”

    The surrounding Trolls were shocked.

“Crazy! It’s the first time I’ve seen someone stronger than Jengu!”

    “Strong! Dangerous! Keureureu!”

    I shouted loudly.

“I’ve come to negotiate with you! Bring the chieftain here right now!”

The Trolls murmured, and one of them ran to bring the chieftain.

As the Trolls stepped aside, an elderly female Troll, 3m tall, decorated with feathers and bones all over her body, approached with a wooden staff topped with a human skull, saying.

“Keureureu. I am Chieftain Gilta. The Troll whose finger you twisted is my son, Jengu. Is this how you negotiate?”

“You guys tried to eat us first. If you promise not to eat us, I’ll let go of the finger.”

    “Keureureu. I promise.”

At that moment, an elderly male Troll, 3.8m tall, holding a huge wooden club, shouted from behind Gilta.

    “Keureureu!! What promise?! Trolls fight!”

    Gilta stopped the male Troll.

“Honey. That guy is a strongman who subdued Jengu with one hand. If we fight, the Trolls will suffer greatly.”

The male Troll, who seemed to be Gilta’s husband, scratched his head and said.

    “Keureureu. Do as you please.”

The Troll chieftain seemed more wise than I thought.

When I let go of Jengu’s finger, Jengu grabbed his sore finger and wailed.

    “Kuaaa! Kuaaang!”

Two Trolls dragged Jengu away, and then Gilta asked me.

“Why did you come to the Troll village?”

I decided to show my true form now.

I stopped the operation of the Concealment Flowers, grew my body buaaaak, became a 12m tall Tentacle, and shouted.

“I am Kamait, the God of Darkness from a thousand years ago, and now I am called Kyle! I have returned to this continent to save all the dark races! Mountain Trolls, serve me!”

All the Trolls felt the immense dark energy and the holiness of original sin within me, trembled, and then knelt down all at once, reaching out their arms to me.

    “Ooo! God of Darkness-nim!”

    “We greet you!”

Gilta walked to me on her knees and said.

“God of Darkness-nim! Our tribe has been waiting for you for a thousand years!”

    “What does that mean?”

“It means exactly what it says! Our ancestors fought in the depths of the human empire during the Tentacle War a thousand years ago, but they fled to this mountain after you returned.”

    “Hoo~ I remember. Was it Boohashi’s group?”

“That’s right! My ancestor is the Troll hero Boohashi-nim! Our ancestors told us to wait, as the God of Darkness would return someday!”

“That’s right. This time, I will definitely drive out the light and fill this continent with darkness!”

The Trolls cheered all at once.

“Kuaaaa! God of Darkness! God of Darkness!”

    Gilta questioned me.

“But why was the God of Darkness hiding his dark energy, disguised as an Elf, and traveling with a Fairy?”

I briefly told her that I had absorbed the Bohark Forest, the Gale Kingdom, and the Elf Kingdom to establish a country for the dark races, and that I had formed an alliance with the Demon Lord Army.

I also explained that I was currently infiltrating deep into the human empire.

Most of the Trolls didn’t understand what I was saying, scratched their heads, and just cheered, but Gilta understood my words and nodded, impressed.

“Keureureu! The God of Darkness has become much wiser! The future of the dark races is bright!”

I instructed Gilta on what to do in the future, as the Hero sent by Goddess Elia would soon come to subjugate the mountain Troll village.

    Gilta replied.

“Keureureu! I will follow the God of Darkness-nim’s instructions.”

    “Then see you later.”

Gilta’s husband walked to me on his knees and shouted.

“I am Napokue! I apologize for my son and my rudeness earlier! Keureureu!”

    “It’s okay.”

Gilta’s son, Jengu, whose finger had healed, also bowed to me and shouted.

“It is an honor to have experienced the power of the God of Darkness!”

“It’s good that the Troll tribe’s successor has high ambition. Hahaha! Then I’ll be on my way.”

All the Trolls put their heads to the ground and saw me off.

    “Keureureu! Goodbye!”

I shrank back to normal size, became an Elf Hero, spread my Tentacle wings, and flew off with Nisa.

Nisa held my hand tightly and said with an excited face.

“Honey. You were so charismatic and cool today!”

    “Was I? Hahaha.”

I recalled what I had heard from Gilta about the mountain Troll tribe’s forces.

The mountain Troll tribe has 6,000 members, of which 4,800 are adults capable of combat.

The troop composition is as follows.

    1) Shaman 700: Generates totem auras. Enhances warriors (buff), sticky black mist (debuff).

    2) Javelin Throwers & Slingers 1500: Carry javelins and stones in baskets on their backs. Javelin throwers throw spears tied with stones, and slingers put stones in slings and swing them to launch them. Trolls can throw heavy stones with their strength.

    3) Warriors 2600: Use iron-studded wooden clubs or cobblestones.

Trolls, in the case of adults, have massive bodies of 2m ~ 4m, thick skin that is difficult to penetrate with a knife, powerful strength, and high regeneration, making them threatening monsters to humans, so the mountain Troll tribe was a considerable force.

Nisa and I arrived at the Elf Resistance camp in the middle of the night.

Lirei and the Elf officers came out to greet me.

    “Loyalty! Welcome back!”

I told the Elves that forces, presumed to be Marquis Naos’s army, were camping in the north and that if we crossed the river and went southeast, we would be caught from behind.

Lirei said with a dismayed face.

“In the end, we have no choice but to cross the river, set up a base, and fight a defensive battle.”

“That’s right. The path to freedom is naturally difficult and painful. Freedom is not something someone gives you, but something you acquire by struggling yourself. Just remember that we must fight and win to give freedom to the Elves.”

At my words, the Elves around me, including Lirei, clenched their fists and resolved themselves.

Lirei thanked me with a serious expression.

“Thank you for your kind words. I will engrave them in my heart for the rest of my life.”

As I led Nisa and walked to the commander’s tent, every Elf I encountered saluted with respectful eyes.

I lay down on the mattress inside the tent, hugged Nisa, and fell into a deep sleep.

Early the next morning, the Elf Resistance plant mages used magic to intertwine and grow vines with each other, creating a huge bundle of vine bridges spanning the river.

The Elf Resistance crossed the bridge and moved further south before setting up camp.

This time, they had to fight a defensive battle to resist Marquis Naos’s large army.

I and the officers came up with ideas and gave instructions to the soldiers.

The Elf plant mages created a 4m high thicket wall surrounding the Elf Resistance and created thorny bushes outside the wall to hinder rushes.

The Elf soldiers used shovels taken from the humans to pile up 3m high earthen mounds that would stick to the thicket wall.

I summoned Noahs, the Earth Spirit King, to pile up the mounds.

Elf soldiers would stand on the mounds, with Elf archers shooting arrows and warriors blocking the approaching enemies.

The Elf mages would make bushes grow from the thicket wall to block the enemy’s projectiles.

Elf civilians gathered in the center of the wall to wait, and when the battle turned unfavorable, they decided to flee to the Bohark Forest.

By evening, all preparations were complete.

Lirei looked at the Elf camp with a heart-filled expression and said.

“I can’t believe we made this. We’ve never had to build a wall like this before, thanks to the forest and the Spirits.”

“The safe Elf forest and Spirits are gone now. If you want to survive in this chaotic world, you need to realize what we have and know how to apply it.”

“I will keep that in mind.”

I knew that the war would begin tomorrow morning, so I ordered all the Elf soldiers, except for the guards, to rest.

The Elf civilians in the center made meals and snacks for the Elf soldiers.
