Defending Bridget Village (3)

Title: Bridget Village Defense Strategy (4)

    Author: Lilgirlchang

Content: Continuing from the previous guide.

Now that the deduction event is over, it’s time for the traitor judgment, which is essentially the final battle for Bridget Village.

Though it’s called a traitor judgment, it’s practically a boss fight for the Humanities Exploration class. The good news is that it’s easier than the Sun Ruins boss or the 8-player dungeon raid from the previous class.

Among the three bosses, the orphanage director route is the trickiest and requires Silena and Celista. Seraphine, as the main heroine, will naturally be there.

If you’re going the Celista abandonment route, at least bring Lilith. Her Healing Aura will help you survive.

Hankerton has some patterns you need to watch out for every turn, but honestly, it’s easier to just watch a YouTube guide. I won’t explain it here since I didn’t take his route this playthrough.

Next is Village Chief Rombel. Honestly, he’s the easiest, with the most straightforward patterns. He’s more of a summoner who just calls mobs and dies.

If you experienced the bandit raid event on the way to the Humanities Exploration class, you’ll know there are two named monsters: Bandit King Hyuma or the Twin Okam.

If you followed the event normally, you would’ve killed one of them, so the remaining one gets called here. The old man just summons them and then gets betrayed and dies.

Since they reused a mid-event named enemy as the final boss, this route is the easiest. The fight patterns are almost identical to Hyuma or Okam from the bandit raid.

They have more HP and hit harder, but it’s manageable. Probably the developers got lazy and just reused assets.

Lastly, there’s the village maiden Mel. She looks weak but is surprisingly tough. After being captured by bandits, she harbored resentment and absorbed the vengeful spirits of other murdered maidens, becoming stronger.

Since Mel was the collaborator in this playthrough, I’ll focus on her route.

    (Picture of Mel charging)

The event starts with Mel and another village maiden in an alley. The girl leaning against the wall (a corpse) varies, but it’s usually the one who had the most trouble with Mel during self-defense class.

Mel is lying on the ground, bleeding from her side, making her look like the victim. When she spots the protagonist’s party, she rushes over with a pitiful expression.

You get a choice: “Protect Mel / Be wary of Mel.” Picking the former will start the final battle with half HP.

(Picture of Mel stabbing the protagonist in the stomach with a hidden knife)

That’s because this bitch pretends to be a victim, then stabs you first.

I picked the first option for the guide, but unless you’re confident, just go in with full HP. I’ve cleared this enough that half HP doesn’t bother me, but one wrong move and you’re dead.

(Picture of Mel and bandits surrounding the protagonist’s party)

She’s tricky for two main reasons. First, she’s been passed around like an S-tier slut among the bandits, so she has a ton of followers.

Thankfully, none are Expert-level, but the mobs keep spawning endlessly. After 100 kills, they stop giving EXP, so don’t waste time farming. If you’re on Mel’s route, leave the melee fighters to handle the bandits (Seraphine, Luke, Natalie, Thomas, etc.).

Once you’ve assigned the useless melee fighters to defense, you’ll be left with ranged DPS and supports. Now it’s a numbers game.

Celista: Holy Light – Sacred Wave – Sacred Explosion – Prayer of Salvation – Holy Light (repeat cycle)

Silena: Barrage Shot – Focused Shot – Volley Shot – Barrage Shot (repeat cycle)

Agnes: Triple Fireball Casting – Triple Mana Bullet Casting – Double Advanced Flame Arrow Casting – Triple Fireball Casting (repeat cycle)

Lilith: Keep Healing Aura up and cast Arcane Shield on cooldown. Priority: Celista – Agnes – Silena – Lilith – Protagonist. Refresh shields as they break. Use Lesser Mana Elixir if mana runs low.

This cycle accounts for cooldowns and cast times for maximum efficiency. I came up with Lilith’s cycle; the rest are from foreign guides.

Why? Because Mel is a swarm-type demon. She controls the body, but about 100 vengeful spirits inhabit it. You need to land at least 100 hits to kill her.

But here’s the catch: even if you use ultimates or AoE attacks, each hit only kills one spirit. No overkill damage or multi-kills. So you need multi-hit attacks with decent damage per hit.

Silena and Agnes are the main DPS here. Celista has no multi-hit skills, but her AoE attacks also heal, so she’s useful for both damage and sustain.

Lilith has no offensive magic (unless you’re a pervert who taught her), so just use her for healing and preventing one-shots.

Once you whittle her down to about 10 spirits, phase 2 starts. From then on, just adapt to her attack patterns…

    ㅇㅇ(175.223): Guide gets my upvote.

    └dd: What?

└ㅇㅇ(223.38): (This guy just said “upvote” like it’s nothing.)

AgnesIsTheTrueWife: This dude’s still writing guides for this dead game? Get a life, seriously.

└oo: Says the one with that username.

└ㅇㅇ(61.43): The irony of someone with that name saying that is hilarious.

└Akari: This guy’s been obsessed with Agnes ever since he got rejected by her once.

    └Lilgirlchang: (Raises a toast.)

GuwonSunae: Where’s the orphanage director guide? I need it ASAP.

    └Lilgirlchang: www.natube.com/watchrpgahkwhtPrlrhkt

└└Lilgirlchang: This is the most organized guide, but it’s in English, so turn on subtitles.

    └└└GuwonSunae: Thx.

TrulyAGodTierGame: Can’t Lilith just use Arcane Arrow when her shield cooldown is up? It’s annoying to waste turns when no one’s shield is broken.

└Lilgirlchang: ? Did you teach Lilith offensive magic? Why? Are you a pervert???

    └└TrulyAGodTierGame: Because… it’s fun.

ㅇㅇ(1.224): I quit Lumia Academy ages ago, but I keep coming back for your guides. How far is the story now?

└Lilgirlchang: Humanities Exploration is early Part 3, so about halfway. Part 5 is the finale and wraps up quickly.

└└ㅇㅇ(1.224): Please keep writing till the end. I’ll upvote every guide.

└└└Lilgirlchang: Unless I die in a car crash or get possessed by Lumia Academy, I’ll keep writing.

Ethan’s twin swords slashed through the bandits swarming toward us, drawn by our formation.

With only Agnes and me left, we had to deal with that tentacle bitch ourselves.

“While Dan-nim holds off the bandits, the two of us will handle her, Miss Ness.”

“…She seems like a demon. Any ideas?”

“Demons aren’t special. Whether they’re demons or dragons, if you hit them enough, they die. So we’ll just throw everything we have-Arcane Arrows, Mana Bullets, Fireballs-until she drops.”

It’s easier to think of it as breaking through 100 layers of magic barriers. The catch is that you can’t break multiple layers at once, so multi-hit attacks are key.

In my past life, this was the pattern I used most against Mel, so it’s the most reliable strategy.

“Start with Triple Fireball Casting, Miss Ness. Then Triple Mana Bullet Casting, followed by Double Advanced Flame Arrow Casting. Just repeat that cycle.”

“You know you sounded just like that Hero guy, right? He always talked like that during hunts.”

“…Sorry. I’ll apologize later for bossing you around.”

“Don’t care. Your request isn’t hard anyway.”

With that, Agnes summoned three fireballs and launched them at Mel.

Now that I can use offensive magic, Agnes and I should be able to handle Mel. The real question is whether Ethan can hold off the bandits until then…

‘Sally, please support Ethan until the fight ends. If any bandits try to flank him, take care of them.’

    ‘Got it.’

Though only three of us are here, our available forces are greater.

Three people, three spirits. Two of the humans are Sword Experts, and the third is the main DPS of the Hero’s party.

For the final boss of the Humanities Exploration class, it’s not a bad lineup.
