    631 – Three Times Heavier

    631 – Three Times Heavier

I returned to the park after watching a movie with the kids.

It was a movie featuring a princess, but the main character was not delicate; she was strong and cool.

If she were a princess like that, it wouldn’t be so bad.

I was in the midst of writing my thoughts about the movie when Levinas spun around me in a counterclockwise direction.

    “Wanga! Wanga!”

    “Yeah?”

“Isn’t Wanga a princess? But can Levinas also be a princess?”

    “Of course, right?”

“Wow! Wanga is a great person!”

Levinas cheered and ran towards the Ggaemmi Guild.

Just as Levinas seemed about to enter the guild container, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

    “What is this?!”

Levinas, who had gone ahead of us, pointed at something in front of the Ggaemmi Guild with his mouth agape.

We couldn’t see because we were blocked by the guild container.

    “Why? What’s going on?”

“There’s a Wanga fan over there!”

Following Levinas, we arrived at a large fan.

One of its blades was about the same size as our kids.

    “Wow.”

I’ve never seen such a big fan in my life.

The fan was so large that it captured our full attention.

“This is beyond just a fan!”

    “Beyond?”

    “Yeah! It’s a booster!”

    A booster, huh.

It certainly seemed like it would propel you far if attached to a vehicle.

“But how do you turn it on?”

    Bomi circled around the fan.

It seemed to be powered by Mana from magic stones rather than electricity…

Just then, while searching for a button on the fan, Gaeul shouted.

    “I found it!”

Gaeul discovered a button on the top of the fan and pressed it with her finger.

    “Oh.”

Could it be because it runs on Mana?

The fan started spinning even though it wasn’t connected to electricity.

    Wheeeeee-!

As the fan picked up speed, we had no choice but to step back.

It wasn’t our will, but the strength of the wind was too powerful.

Surprisingly, the wind didn’t blow in a straight line; it came from all directions.

    “Ahhh!”

    “Whoa!”

We, who were relatively light, were knocked over by the strong wind from the fan and rolled backward.

Among us, only Saebyeok managed to stay upright, catching us as we rolled and checking on us.

    “Are you okay?”

    “Yeah! Levinas is fine!”

    “Me too. I’m okay.”

After confirming that the kids were alright with Saebyeok, I looked back at the fan.

It had an incredible airflow strong enough to lift a baby high into the air.

    “We activated a monster fan!”

“Did we release the seal of the monster?!”

Bomi pretended to be serious but couldn’t help giggling while covering her mouth.

Gaeul, not having seen Bomi’s smile, looked flustered.

She seemed to feel a sense of responsibility for activating the monster fan.

    “…Gaeul!”

    Thud! Thud!

    Gaeul pounded her chest.

    She seemed nervous yet serious.

    “Should Gaeul turn it off?”

    “No way…!”

    Phew.

Taking a deep breath like an adult, Gaeul got into position and charged at the monster fan.

As Gaeul ran, she started doing spot jumps at a certain point.

    “Yahhh!”

She gave it her all with a great shout, but the result was…

    Rolling-

Gaeul fell backward and rolled all the way to my feet.

I was able to make eye contact with Gaeul, who lay on the ground.

    “Hello, Gaeul.”

    “Ugh…”

The fan was intimidating enough that I didn’t dare approach it.

Still, the other kids seemed to gain courage from Gaeul and began to charge at the fan.

    “Yahhh!”

Levinas was doing spot jumps in the wind, while Haneul held onto the ground with her mechanical arm to brace herself.

Bomi circled around the fan, trying to find an opening, but the fan was blowing wind in all directions.

    “Ugh! Levinas is out now…!”

    Levinas was eliminated.

Now, we could only rely on Haneul.

Just as I was about to cheer for Haneul from behind, something shocking happened.

Haneul, who was holding onto the ground with her mechanical arm and using one hand to grip it, accidentally pressed the wrong button.

    Bzzzt-

The mechanical arm popped out, and Haneul flew toward us.

Even Haneul, whom I had trusted, had failed to turn off the fan.

    “What have we done…!”

“Ugh, we released the seal of the Demon King…!”

    Thud thud-

It was the moment Levinas desperately pounded the ground.

From the Ggaemmi Guild building, Yoo Sang-ah, the office staff at dawn, opened the door and came out.

“Oh my? What are you all doing?”

Yoo Sang-ah stood unaffected by the wind from the large fan as she stepped outside.

It was surprising to see Yoo Sang-ah, who wasn’t an adventurer, standing there calmly in front of the wind that had blown us away.

‘Is it because of her weight?’

No matter how light Yoo Sang-ah was, there was a weight difference between an adult and a child.

At the very least, she must weigh twice as much as us.

    “The fan…!”

    “Oh, the fan.”

    Yoo Sang-ah approached the fan.

As she got closer, it seemed to be difficult for her too, as she struggled to press the button on the fan.

If it was hard for Yoo Sang-ah, who was at least twice as heavy as us…

“Wow! The Demon King fan has been defeated!”

    “Wow!”

The kids spun around Yoo Sang-ah.

Haneul, forgetting to pick up her detached arm, also circled around Yoo Sang-ah.

It was sudden, but it was nice to be able to play in such a fun way.

    **

    “Is it a cooling fan?”

“Yes. I heard it’s used in the blacksmith shop, so I brought it.”

What on earth do they do in our blacksmith shop that requires such a fan?

Since I knew nothing about blacksmithing, I was just puzzled.

“I see. Thank you for always helping us.”

“Don’t mention it; if it’s our Ggaemmi Guild, we can help every day.”

    “Hehe.”

After a brief conversation, we said our goodbyes when Yoo Sang-ah mentioned she had work to do.

Left alone, I took a moment to think.

‘I couldn’t move at all in the wind.’

Everyone except Saebyeok had no way to resist the wind from the fan.

If this had been a real battle, it could have been a serious situation.

‘What if I encounter an enemy that uses wind as a weapon?’

Of course, there are ways to subdue an opponent from a distance with arrows or magic.

There are various methods, but it’s best to prepare at least a little.

‘I wonder what methods there are.’

If Gubugi’s protective magic could prevent being blown away, that would be great.

But relying on Gubugi every day felt a bit much.

Gubugi was also busy helping out here and there.

    ‘Hmm…’

Perhaps an item would be the best choice.

It would be easy to use and convenient to carry.

After much contemplation, I decided to visit Jeong Yuna, the guild’s expert in magical item crafting.

    ‘I wonder where she is.’

    Sniff sniff.

Using my sense of smell and pheromones, I located Jeong Yuna.

Fortunately, she was in her workshop.

    “Are you there?”

    “Yes, I’m here.”

I entered Jeong Yuna’s workshop after knocking.

Jeong Yuna was wearing a splendid magician’s robe.

“What brings Gyeoul to the lab?”

    “Well, you see…”

I told Jeong Yuna about the incident with the fan.

But for some reason, Jeong Yuna looked a bit disappointed.

“Why do you look like that…?”

“I thought it would have been cute to see you playing with the fan.”

“Hmm… then shall we play together later?”

    “Really?”

“Yes. It would be fun to play together.”

I was able to receive help on the condition that I would play with Jeong Yuna and the fan.

She mentioned that it was a common concern among adventurers and handed me an item.

It seemed like a small orb that could be fitted into equipment.

    “What is this?”

“It’s an item that makes you heavier.”

“Wow… how much heavier does it make you?”

“Well, it depends on how much Mana Gyeoul puts in, but since Gyeoul has a lot of Mana, it should get quite heavy.”

    “……!”

    Is that so?

    What a great item.

I jumped up and hugged Jeong Yuna.

“I’ll come back after testing this. Let’s play together then.”

    “Okay.”

I left the laboratory and headed to the park.

On my way, I spotted our Master.

    “Sir, sir.”

    “Hmm?”

“I got a really good item.”

    “What kind of item?”

“It’s an item that makes you heavier.”

I immediately infused Mana into the item Jeong Yuna had given me.

In an instant, my body began to feel heavy.

    ‘That’s amazing.’

The volume stayed the same, but my body felt heavier.

    Magic is truly incredible.

Through the unique senses of the Beastmen, I realized I had become almost three times heavier.

‘But the duration isn’t that long.’

It might last a maximum of ten minutes.

As I examined my body, I spread my arms toward Master.

“Do you want to try picking me up? I think I’m really heavy!”

    “Hmm…”

    Master reached out to me.

I thought he would be surprised by the heavy sensation, but unexpectedly, he lifted me up effortlessly.

“…Am I not heavy? I’ve become almost three times heavier.”

“…Even so, it’s not even sixty. An adventurer can lift this with one hand.”

    “Ah.”

    That’s true.

Even if my weight increased fivefold, it wouldn’t reach a hundred kilograms.

A hundred kilograms wouldn’t even be a warm-up weight for our guild’s adventurers, right?

Why did I think I would feel as heavy as a boulder?

I was wide-eyed at the unexpected situation.

    “Eh…”

An item that doubles my weight doesn’t seem like a good choice.

Disappointment made my ears and tail droop.
