    596 – Two Blessings

    596 – Two Blessings

    “Ugh, ugh…”

The hand that struck the wooden box was so painful.

I felt like I had become incredibly strong, but it seemed like it was just my imagination.

    “Augh…”

As I squatted in front of the box, whimpering, those who had come to watch gathered around me.

    “Captain! Are you okay?!”

    “Oh dear…”

Argo, Sophia, and even the prominent figures of the Beastmen village.

Everyone was looking at me with worried eyes.

    “Gyeoul, is your hand alright?”

    “Yes… I’m okay…”

    “I’m glad you’re okay.”

    Sophia rubbed my reddened hand.

Then, she examined my body here and there.

“Gyeoul, it doesn’t seem like you’ve gotten stronger.”

“Yes… I feel the energy, but it doesn’t seem to be the kind of energy that makes you stronger.”

What kind of energy could it be?

It didn’t feel negative, but I couldn’t figure out how to use it.

It seemed like I would have to take my time and learn about it slowly.

“I’m sorry. Everyone gathered here, but I only disappointed you.”

“It’s alright. It’s meaningful just to gather like this.”

“Noah is right, it’s a joyful thing just to be together.”

Nora and Flora comforted me for my failure.

Thanks to them, even though I had failed, our atmosphere was still harmonious.

“If I ever find out what the identity of the energy is, I’ll let you know.”

“Okay, I’ll look forward to it.”

Even though we couldn’t confirm the power of the blessing, we maintained harmony with a social gathering.

And the star of this social gathering could be said to be Levinas’s mother.

    “Ahem.”

Levinas puffed out his chest and showed off Ravi.

The Beastmen and family members who had been focused only on the blessing were finally able to realize Ravi’s existence.

It was also thanks to Ravi and Levinas stepping back so that they could focus on the blessing.

“Levinas, who is next to you?”

    “Levinas’s mom, that’s who!”

    “Is that so?”

Various emotions flashed across Sophia’s face.

Surprise, joy, and a very slight regret.

Sophia, who had been acting as the children’s mother, couldn’t help but feel a little regretful when the real mother came.

Of course, Sophia chose heartfelt congratulations over jealousy.

    “A mother, that’s a joyous occasion.”

“Yeah! Levinas now has two moms!”

    “Two…?”

The moment Sophia expressed her question, Levinas ran towards Sophia.

He took Sophia’s hand with his left hand and Ravi’s hand with his right hand, and smiled brightly.

“Yeah! Levinas has two moms… sniffle.”

Levinas, holding both of their hands, pretended to cry.

It was a pretense of crying out of joy, not sadness.

“Everyone, say hello to Levinas’s mom!”

Levinas grabbed Sophia and Ravi’s hands and ran around the park.

He greeted the people of the Beastmen village and even greeted strangers in the park.

Then, he greeted our children who had belatedly come to the park.

    “Hello.”

    Gaeul bowed deeply to Ravi.

Ravi’s face was filled with delight at seeing the polite Gaeul.

    “Gaeul, don’t you remember me?”

    “Huh?”

    Gaeul tilted her head.

She had only seen the young Ravi and had never seen the adult Ravi, so she couldn’t help but be bewildered.

    “I guess you don’t remember?”

It was the moment Ravi gave a smile mixed with regret.

Gaeul approached Ravi and began to smell her.

    Sniff sniff.

The more she smelled, the higher Gaeul’s ears perked up.

    “…Rabbit Horn?”

    “Oh? You remember?”

    “…Nyabi.”

    “Yes! I’m Ravi!”

    Ravi hugged Gaeul tightly.

She should have been surprised by Ravi’s larger appearance, but Gaeul only giggled.

    “Nyabi! Nyabi!”

Gaeul also enjoyed the joy of reuniting with Ravi.

Today was truly a monumental day for us.

    **

We finished our light social gathering and returned home.

It was to introduce Ravi to the house.

    “This is where Levinas sleeps!”

Levinas ran to the bed, covered himself with the blanket, and lay down.

He made snoring sounds, showing how he sleeps.

“Levinas sleeps in a good place, doesn’t he?”

“Yeah! Now Mom and Dad will sleep here together too!”

“Mom would like to, but it looks a little cramped for everyone to lie down together?”

    “Huh?!”

As Ravi said, our bed wasn’t that big.

I also realized that the house wasn’t that big either.

It was bigger than average, but not big enough for everyone to live together.

If Ravi and Levinas’s dad were to join the current number of people, there would be a total of ten people.

Of course, we could live crowded together, but Hanyeoreum was a woman in her prime.

Even though he was Levinas’s dad, it was bound to be uncomfortable to live in the same house with an unknown adult male.

Hanyeoreum sometimes walked around the house in her underwear.

‘But Levinas will want to live with Ravi and Dad.’

I wanted to live together, but the structure of the house made it impossible.

I had no idea how to solve this problem.

    “Living space, hmm…”

I couldn’t solve this situation on my own.

It seemed like I had to meet our Master.

    “Gyeoul, where are you going?”

    “I’m going to see Master.”

    “Master, you mean…?”

Ravi’s eyes lit up at the word Master.

Come to think of it, our Ravi also had a connection with Master.

“Do you want to come with me?”

    “Yes!”

So, I moved to Master’s office with Ravi.

As always, the guard opened the door with a knock, and Ravi ran towards Master as soon as it opened.

    “Master!”

    “Hmm.”

The reaction was so cold that I could tell.

Master was quite happy to see Ravi.

“It’s been a long time, Master! Do you know who I am?”

    “It’s Ravi, isn’t it?”

    “……!”

Ravi was surprised that Master recognized her, but I wasn’t particularly surprised.

Our Master was someone who knew everything.

‘Reunions are always a joy to watch.’

I watched the two of them reunite and then ran to Master and sat on his lap.

Just as Master was about to put his hand on my head, I told him my business.

“Master, can I get some help?”

    “What kind of help?”

“I want to live together, but it seems difficult.”

I confided in Master about my worries.

I wanted to live together but didn’t want to be uncomfortable.

Of course, I knew it was an impossible method, but surprisingly, Master offered me a solution.

    “Here.”

Master wrote a number on a piece of paper.

I didn’t know what the number meant.

    “What is this?”

“The password to the floor below.”

    “The floor below?”

Isn’t the floor directly below Master’s office the VIP room?

I thought it was a place for VIPs, but was I wrong?

I took the paper that Master gave me and went down to the floor below.

It was right below, so I went down the emergency exit, but come to think of it, this was my first time here too.

    Creak-

As soon as I opened the emergency exit door, I saw an elevator and a front door across from it.

The door was locked, so I entered the password that Master gave me and went inside.

    “Uh…”

I couldn’t help but be shocked when I opened the door and went inside.

It was because I realized that the entire floor was one house.

    ‘Oh my god.’

I had no idea how many rooms there were.

Since there was a house within a house, we could protect each other’s privacy even while living together.

‘Was this built to divide the attendant’s room, the guard’s room, and the VIP room?’

It was so shockingly good that I felt burdened, but I thought it would be good to receive it anyway.

I didn’t want to erase Levinas and Ravi’s happiness with my burden.

    ‘I have to thank Master.’

I’ll work hard and pay off this debt.

After checking the house, I went up to Master’s office.

Master gave me a look that asked if I liked it.

“Master, it’s really good, but if we use the VIP room, what happens when a VIP comes?”

    “You’re a VIP too.”

    “……!”

    I see.

Master thinks of us that way.

I knew it, but it felt so good to hear it directly from Master’s mouth.

“Thank you so much. Thanks to you, the problem has been solved.”

I thanked Master and returned home.

I was going to tell the children about the new house, but the children were packing their weapons.

    “Kids, what are you doing?”

    “We’re going hunting…!”

    “Huh? Suddenly?”

I looked at the children who were packing their weapons.

The children were glancing at Ravi.

Levinas even raised his shoulders a lot.

    ‘Aha.’

Levinas wants to show Ravi how strong he has become.

    Then, let’s go hunting first.

    **

We decided to go to the five-stage Dungeon.

It was a Dungeon where Trolls appeared, and as soon as we entered the Dungeon, Levinas blocked Ravi’s path.

“Mom! It’s dangerous here, so you have to stay behind Levinas?!”

    “Levinas is protecting Mom?”

“Yeah! Trust Levinas! Everyone will protect Mom!”

As soon as Levinas finished speaking, the children stood near Ravi.

Wooden Caliber, mechanical arm, black Mana, fist, and even Soap bubble necklace.

It was a guardian force that made me feel secure just by looking at it.

    “I’m so happy.”

    Ravi gave a happy smile.

So, we walked through the forest in a harmonious atmosphere, and we were able to find a Troll nearby.

The stomping footsteps were so loud that even if you weren’t a Beastmen, you could easily find it.

    ‘That means it’s that strong.’

    It’s strong but dull.

From the Beastmen’s point of view, the easiest way to fight was to dig into its weaknesses.

    Whoosh-!

    Thwack-!

I shot an arrow into the Troll’s eye.

The quickly flying arrow accurately pierced the Troll’s eye.

    Kua-!

The Troll’s advantage was its tremendous regenerative power.

Even though the arrow pierced its eye and pierced its brain, it didn’t die and rampaged.

Or maybe its brain was too small and it didn’t pierce it.

    Thump-! Thump-!

The Troll threw trees and stones at us.

Dangerous attacks flew haphazardly, but we had Gubugi.

    “Gubugi… huh…?”

I felt something strange the moment I was about to tell Gubugi to protect the children because I could avoid it.

It was because the flow of time had stopped.

The children, the rampaging Troll, and the attacks flying at us had all stopped.

    ‘What is it?’

I looked around in a panic and was able to realize.

Time hadn’t stopped, but it was flowing incredibly slowly.

In that slow time, I could move without any restrictions, at the same speed as usual.

It seemed like the second blessing effect had manifested here.
