    551 – Dungeon of Digestion?

    551 – Dungeon of Digestion?

I packed my lunch and, just in case, I also grabbed my bow and arrows.

Since it was said to be a meeting of the guild masters, I felt like I needed to bring a weapon.

    “I’m all set.”

    “You finished quickly?”

“Yeah. There wasn’t much to prepare.”

I grabbed my bag and held onto the Master’s hand.

Just then, Gaeul, who had been playing with the boss monster’s magic stone, approached me.

    “Juin Uddikga?”

“I’m just going to the Master meeting for a bit.”

    “Gu-ae?!”

Gaeul perked up her ears and ran to her spot in the office.

Then she started packing various items into her bag.

She stuffed in snacks she received as gifts from the sports day and, for some reason, a clip that was a supply item.

    “Gaeul, what are you doing?”

    “Gaeul is also going!”

“Huh? Are you going to the Master meeting too?”

    “Hek…”

Seeing Gaeul packing diligently, I couldn’t help but feel flustered.

I wasn’t sure if Gaeul, who wasn’t a Master, could attend the Master meeting.

“Gaeul, this is a Master meeting, so you might not be able to go. What should we do?”

    “No! I want to go!”

    “Really?”

    “Yes! Gaeul wants to go!”

Gaeul started packing her things even faster, glancing at me.

Did she think I would leave if she didn’t hurry?

To reassure her, I sat down in the chair next to her.

‘It’s been a while since I wanted to go together like this.’

I had been separated from Levinas while we went to the dungeon, and now I had to be apart again, which I couldn’t stand.

After pondering, I looked up at the Master and asked.

“Sir, can Gaeul come with us?”

    “It doesn’t matter.”

    “Oh.”

    So it really didn’t matter.

    Thank goodness.

I waited for Gaeul to finish packing while looking around at the other kids.

“Do you want to go to the Master meeting together?”

    **

The place we arrived at with the Master was a luxurious hotel restaurant.

Just stepping into the restaurant with its unique upscale atmosphere made me feel intimidated.

    “Wow…”

I heard chandeliers are very expensive; I wonder how much that one costs?

If I work hard to run the guild and become rich, I should get a chandelier too.

With that hopeful thought, I stepped inside the restaurant.

    “Master Kang Jinho has arrived.”

    “Did you come?”

There were quite a few people I knew at the Master meeting.

There were Master Chae Juyun, Master Park Tae-san, and a few other Masters I had met once or twice.

“Oh? This is a Master meeting, but there are friends who aren’t Masters here?”

Master Chae Juyun smiled playfully as she looked at us.

Despite her tone, I knew she was welcoming us.

Levinas seemed to know this too, as he wore a mischievous yet fierce smile.

“Levinas was actually a hidden Master!”

“Oh my, Levinas was a Master too?”

“Yeah! Levinas is the Master of the Animal King Card!”

    Ahem.

Levinas proudly puffed out his chest.

Indeed, he was the Master of the Animal King Card, at least according to the rules he created.

“I see. Then are the other friends also Masters?”

At Master Chae Juyun’s question, Bomi stepped forward.

Black Mana was swirling above Bomi’s hand.

    “I’m the Master of Pranks!”

“Pranks? Then do you want to play a prank on the Master?”

“Yeah! Should I turn you into a frog?”

“Uh, um… thinking about it, I guess I don’t want to be pranked.”

    “Aw.”

Starting with Bomi, the kids began to boast about their own Masters.

It was fun to hear what kind of Masters the kids were.

“I’m the Master of Eating Fish.”

    “I’m… I’m the Master of Cleaning…”

    Eating fish and cleaning.

These were areas where Saebyeok and Haneul were confident.

Then what kind of Master would Gaeul be?

We looked back at Gaeul with anticipation.

“What kind of Master is our Gaeul?”

    “Ggaemmi!”

Gaeul shouted confidently without a moment’s hesitation.

    Master Chae Juyun looked puzzled.

    “Isn’t the Ggaemmi Master Gyeoul?”

    “Huh?”

    “Oh?”

That’s right, I’m the Ggaemmi Master.

Gaeul made a blank expression at Master Chae Juyun’s question.

    “Juin Ggaemmi?”

“Yeah. Gyeoul is the Ggaemmi Master. Doesn’t Gaeul have anything else?”

    “……”

    Maaeng—

Gaeul stuck out her tongue and began to ponder.

After a long time of thinking, Gaeul finally shook her head.

    “Nothing.”

“Nothing? Then should the Master decide for you?”

    “Hek…?”

“Gaeul is kind, so how about being the Kind Master?”

    “……!”

    Gaeul’s ears perked up.

It seemed she liked the idea of being the Kind Master that Master Chae Juyun suggested.

    “Gaeul is kind.”

“That’s right! Gaeul the puppy is the kindest in the world!”

    “That’s right, that’s right.”

Having become Masters, we sat down at the hotel restaurant chairs.

After exchanging simple greetings with the Masters of various guilds, I looked over the restaurant’s menu.

    ‘Wow.’

I had expected it, but the food prices were quite high.

For someone like me who needed to save money for a while, these were definitely things I shouldn’t buy.

“Gyeoul! What do you want to eat?! They have fish dishes here; do you want to eat that?!”

“I’m fine. I brought my lunch.”

    “Lunch?!”

Master Park Tae-san looked at me with curiosity about what kind of lunch I had brought.

Since I couldn’t take out my lunch in a restaurant, I just scratched my cheek.

“Are you trying to eat something delicious all by yourself?!”

“Ah, no… The lunch is tasty, but not as good as the restaurant’s.”

“Huh? But why would you eat a lunch?”

“Well, starting a guild took a lot of initial capital, so I need to save for a while.”

“Oh… Looks like you’re serious about this.”

Master Park Tae-san gave me a thumbs up.

I didn’t expect I would be running the guild this diligently.

    “Hehe.”

As I smiled in gratitude, Master Park Tae-san reached out his hand to me.

It was a gesture as if he wanted something.

“Can I take a look at your lunch?!”

    “My lunch…?”

Looking at my lunch could be fun in its own way.

Nodding, I took my lunch out of the bag to show him.

It was a cost-effective lunch made of bean sprouts and anchovies.

    “Um…”

    “Hmm…”

The Masters who examined my lunch let out sounds of intrigue.

Was my lunch fascinating to them?

Seeing my lunch, I couldn’t help but wag my tail.

    “Isn’t the lunch amazing?”

    “Amazing?”

“Yes. Even though I’m tight on money running the guild, I can still eat this much.”

Bean sprouts, anchovies, carrots, and potatoes.

It was a feast that couldn’t even be compared to when I had to eat cornmeal.

    “What do you think?”

I proudly showed my lunch to the Masters.

I felt a sense of pride knowing I could eat this much even in a tight situation.

Master Park Tae-san seemed to think my lunch was amazing too, as he stared at it intently.

“Can I just have a little bit of your lunch…?”

Would you like to try a little bit of my lunch?

Before I could even ask, Master Park Tae-san picked up my lunch and stuffed it into his mouth.

    “No, my lunch…!”

It wasn’t that much, but to shove it all in one bite…!

I opened my eyes wide, just like Master Park Tae-san’s cheeks, which were stuffed with food.

    Munch munch—

    Crunch crunch—

For a while, the sounds of various foods being chewed filled the air.

After swallowing my entire lunch, Master Park Tae-san laughed heartily.

“Oh no! It looked so delicious that I ate it all! What should I do about this?!”

    “Was it tasty…?”

    “It was super delicious?!”

“Um… If you enjoyed it, then it’s fine.”

Though it was sudden, he said it was delicious.

I didn’t feel bad about it at all.

“I should buy you something as an apology?!”

“No, you really don’t have to…”

“Waiter, one fish steak! No, two fish steaks!”

Master Park Tae-san suddenly ordered fish steaks.

    Not one, but two.

The fish steaks I ended up eating were fantastic.

    **

    “Wow.”

The fish steak is really delicious.

I was rubbing my belly while savoring the taste.

Then, a man who introduced himself as the Master of Gwangcheon looked around at the other Masters and said.

“Shall we go to the dungeon to help with digestion?”

Master Park Kwang-hyuk from Gwangcheon glanced at me and said.

Most of the Masters showed positive reactions.

    “Shall we?”

    “I’m in favor.”

    “I remember there’s a seven-stage dungeon nearby…”

    “Oh, I saw that too.”

A seven-stage dungeon to help with digestion.

    Masters are truly amazing.

Thinking it wasn’t a place for me to butt in, I started to quietly slip away, but Master Chae Juyun grabbed my hand.

    “Are you going too, Gyeoul?”

    “Me… too…?”

    “Yes. You’re a Master too.”

    “Uh…”

“It’s okay. The Masters will protect you. Let’s go together, thinking of it as studying.”

    A seven-stage dungeon.

It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

After a short deliberation, I nodded at Master Chae Juyun.

“Then I’ll apply for the dungeon.”

    “Oh, will you do that?”

    “Yes.”

Since I wouldn’t be much help in the dungeon, I should at least do this kind of errand.

I ran to the dungeon that Master Chae Juyun had told me about.

“Hello. Can I apply for entrance to the dungeon?”

    “You…”

The official in charge of the dungeon stared at me.

She was a young woman, and she looked perplexed as she looked at me.

“Aren’t you from the Dawn side? Your name was Gyeoul, right?”

    “Yes. That’s right.”

“As far as I know, you don’t have the skill to enter a seven-stage dungeon yet?”

“Well, I’m not going in alone…”

    “Who’s going with you?”

As the official expressed her doubts, I slowly folded my fingers.

I was counting who was entering the dungeon with me.

“With our Master, Master Chae Juyun, Master Park Tae-san…”

    “Uh…?”

“And there’s also the Master of Gwangcheon Guild, the Master of Black Bird Guild, and the Master of Bio Zero, and then…”

The names of the Masters kept flowing.

The official’s complexion began to pale.

    “Yes…?”

Unable to contain her surprise at the endless list of Masters, she soon began to speak formally.

It was indeed an impressive list, even I could see that.
