Chapter 359: Let Me Introduce the Guild (2)

    A live broadcast.

I’d been wondering how to edit out all the scenes of us playing around.

But it turned out everything had been streamed live.

    “Oh…”

If I’d known, I would have tried harder.

    My shoulders slumped in dismay.

Seeing me like this, Levinas’s expression also darkened.

“King, did Levinas do something wrong…?”

“No, Levinas didn’t do anything wrong.”

    “Really…?”

Color returned to Levinas’s anxious face.

This was clearly just a lack of communication, not Levinas’s fault.

“I thought this was video recording, not a live stream.”

“Sorry, Levinas should have told you.”

“No, I should have asked first.”

Since we were filming a guild introduction video.

Using a live stream wasn’t necessarily wrong either.

‘The problem is we only showed ourselves playing around.’

From now on, I needed to be serious without any playing around.

The training grounds would be perfect for that.

I moved to the training grounds with the children and camera.

    [No filming in training grounds]

    [Authorized personnel only]

    “Oh.”

While carrying the camera, I noticed the signs at the training ground entrance.

Signs I’d never paid attention to before suddenly caught my eye.

Levinas captured these signs on the broadcast.

    “King, what should we do?”

“Um… let’s go back for now.”

    “Oh…”

We’d planned to show adventurers training impressively.

But that plan had fallen apart.

As I was turning away dejectedly-

“Gyeoul, what are you doing there?”

Jung Yu-na called out to us from inside the training grounds.

She seemed to have sensed our presence and come to check.

“We were trying to broadcast the training grounds, but apparently filming isn’t allowed.”

    “Really? Who said that?”

    Jung Yu-na’s brow furrowed slightly.

It was hard to tell if she was confused or angry.

“It says ‘no filming’ right here.”

“Oh, that? Don’t worry about it, just come in.”

    “Um… is that okay?”

    “Yeah. It’s fine.”

    Is it really okay?

I scratched my cheek as I entered the training grounds.

As we moved while looking at the smartphone,

Something seemed odd about the chat reactions as we talked to the camera.

[How dare a mere sign lol]

[Who am I? ‘Yeomyeong Guild Owner’]

    “Huh?”

    What were people talking about?

I tilted my head as I entered the training grounds.

When the interior was revealed, the chat started scrolling rapidly.

    [Wow ㄷㄷㄷ]

[Whoa;; look at the size of this training ground;;]

[The underground facility is bigger than a stadium.]

    Most comments were expressing amazement.

    This made me curious.

“Has the training ground never been shown before?”

“Hmm… it has been, but this might be the first official reveal? We banned entry and filming because too many people used to sneak in to look around.”

    I see.

So this was the first official showing.

Since that was the case, I decided to give a thorough introduction of the training grounds.

“This is a treadmill. But you have to be careful with the speed settings. If it’s too fast, you’ll fly off.”

[So that’s why you flew off…?]

    [Poor flying Gyeoul ㅠ.ㅜ…]

    [Nyaaah!]

“These are dumbbells, but I can barely lift just the bar. I can’t lift it with plates added – too heavy.”

[How heavy is the bar? Is it different for adventurers?]

    [No, it’s similar, about 20kg]

    [Wow, Gyeoul is strong.]

[My goodness, Gyeoul lifting the bar ㄷㄷ]

“This is the shooting range, and here is…”

I showed them adventurers training hard and sparring.

The reactions were good no matter what I showed.

‘I think we’ve shown everything in the training grounds…’

    What should we show next?

Just as I was wondering this, Jung Yu-na called out to me.

“Gyeoul, are you done showing the training grounds?”

    “Yes. We’ve shown everything.”

“Want to go to the Master’s office? Master’s looking for you.”

    “Ah.”

    The Master’s office.

There couldn’t be a better place to show.

I nodded, said goodbye to Jung Yu-na, and headed to the Master’s office.

    **

    Ding-

The elevator doors opened to reveal the Master’s office on the top floor.

The children and I ran straight to the office.

As always, the security guard greeted us warmly.

    “Hmm…”

The guard glanced at the camera, then knocked and opened the Master’s office door.

As the door slowly opened, the broadcast chat exploded.

[First ever reveal of Master’s office ㄷㄷㄷ]

    [So excited lol]

    [Show us quickly!!!!!]

The door opened amid people’s excitement.

When the office was revealed, the chat suddenly froze.

    [?]

    [????]

    [What?]

Question marks started appearing one by one.

I knew why people were reacting this way.

The office of a guild led by someone called the strongest adventurer.

They probably expected something dignified and prestigious.

Unfortunately, our Master’s office was far from dignified.

In the center of the office.

Snacks, dolls, and toys were scattered on the table.

The toys we’d played with a few days ago were still there.

The nearby bookshelf was filled with children’s books the kids loved.

Some storybooks were laid out on the table too.

Books the Master had prepared for us frequent visitors.

    [Not Master’s office x Children’s playroom o]

[???: This is mine too lol]

[???: Gotta show off the playroom lol]

Had we made the Master’s office too messy?

Feeling embarrassed, I put the storybooks back on the shelf.

    “Master.”

    “Master!”

    “Master.”

    We approached the Master together.

The Master held up his palm toward me.

“Wait, don’t film this side. There’s confidential stuff.”

    “Ah…”

    I flinched and stepped back.

Seeing this, the Master waved his raised hand.

“No, it’s fine if you come over.”

    “Okay.”

I approached the Master with the children.

The broadcast chat was scrolling rapidly in real-time.

    [Confidential lol]

[Forget confidential, wanna see the kids lol]

[Honestly I’d choose the kids too.]

[Anyone who’d choose confidential here should just be banned.]

The chat people were joking, but the Master had already quickly hidden the confidential documents.

Though people must have seen all this, they just joked about it.

    Stream viewers were quite mischievous.

“Master, I heard you were looking for me.”

“Just wanted to see your face.”

    “Ah.”

People don’t always need a reason to call someone.

I often came to the Master’s office for no particular reason too.

I sat on the Master’s lap and turned the camera toward the children.

After greeting the Master, the children went about their own activities.

Gaeul was eating snacks, Saebyeok was sleeping face down on the sofa.

Levinas was choosing a storybook from the shelf.

“Master, I was introducing the guild today.”

“I heard. No need to push yourself too hard, take a break now.”

“Okay. Then I’ll end the broadcast here.”

    Tap tap-

I tapped the smartphone screen to end the broadcast.

People protested in the still-open chat.

    [Nooooooo!!!!!!!]

    [Argh!! Kang Jinho you bastard!!]

[I’ll curse you from hell Kang Jinho.]

I deliberately ignored the scary comments.

Putting the smartphone in my pocket, I swayed back and forth while sitting on the Master’s lap.

“Since the kids and I worked hard today, we should play for the rest of the time.”

    “Then go to the park.”

    “The park?”

“Yeah. Jeffrey said he prepared a gift.”

    Jeffrey suddenly giving a gift?

    I looked up in confusion.

My eyes met the Master’s as he looked down at me.

“He said his ranking went up thanks to you.”

“Hmm… then shall we go to the park?”

“Go ahead first. I’ll follow after I finish what I’m doing.”

    “Okay. Then…”

    Levinas was reading a storybook.

    We couldn’t leave right away.

I played on the Master’s lap until Levinas finished reading.

    **

We went to the tent in the park together.

Jeffrey was sitting in a chair there, waving at us.

    “You came?”

    “Yes.”

“Jeffrey!”, “Jeff.”, or just tail wagging.

The children greeted Jeffrey in their own ways.

“Those are gifts. Take one each.”

    “Those are…”

There were bicycles where Jeffrey pointed.

Heuk! Levinas, who had been running toward the bikes, suddenly stopped in place.

    “Levinas, what’s wrong?”

    “It’s a difficult bicycle…!”

    “A difficult bicycle?”

“Yeah…! It only has two wheels…!”

    Ah.

Two-wheeled bikes are hard for beginners.

    But it wasn’t impossible.

“You could probably ride it with practice?”

    “R-really…?”

    “Yeah. Let’s practice together.”

Levinas picked up a black and pink bicycle.

She carefully sat on the seat but kept her feet on the ground.

    “Levinas can ride like this!”

Levinas moved forward by pushing off the ground like riding a kickboard.

Too scared to lift her feet, she didn’t put them on the pedals.

“Let’s try keeping your feet up a little longer.”

    “L-like this?”

Levinas pushed off and stretched her legs forward.

She kept her feet stretched out for about three seconds, then put them back down when the bike started wobbling.

“Wow, you kept them up for so long just now.”

    “Really?!”

    Had she gained confidence?

    Levinas pushed forward again.

I was ready to catch her from behind if needed, but she managed to move around well despite wobbling.

    “Levinas, you’re doing great.”

    “Horned rabbit.”

    We ran after Levinas.

Though there were several bikes, we decided to use just one for safety.

    And then, wobble wobble-

As Levinas was moving around unsteadily, she suddenly charged toward the pool playground.

    “W-whoa.”

    Splash-!

The bike that had been cutting through the pool water stopped from the water resistance.

Levinas fell sideways, but the pool water prevented any injury.

    “Oh…”

Levinas, who had sunk to the bottom of the pool, floated back up.

Her body was shivering as she surfaced.
