    37 – Enduring Advice Level 999 (1)

    37 – Enduring Advice Level 999 (1)

Mr. Lee attempted to defend against Apola’s turret robbery but failed repeatedly.

It would be one thing if it were a different repertoire, but it was the same repertoire every time.

Lay down the smokescreen. Play with vision.

    Yet, he couldn’t catch them.

[Overall] Back wound is the shame of a loser: Slow

So even when the inner turret of the lane he was guarding was destroyed.

[Overall] Back wound is the shame of a loser: Since when did you think the turret was safe?

Even when Apola arrived in front of the core turret.

[Overall] Back wound is the shame of a loser: For me, demolition is murder.

    That damn dark cloud.

A 3-minute cooldown with a 30-second smokescreen continued to shake the battlefield.

No, they said not to use the trash that tiered players had organized.

Could it be that those who used it were Apola noobs?—It was just that the bronze tier users couldn’t handle the suddenly appearing smokescreen ghost.

When the area skills fell like rain, the existence of the dark cloud became irrelevant.

To make matters worse, the mascot was stuck like gum.

What was it that they decided to just heal while eating ramen?

Clinging to Apola, not falling, dying together with Apola, just mindless healing.

With items focused entirely on recovery, now just healing would grant Apola a speed buff and a hefty shield.

At least it was easy to catch since they only knew mindless forward movement.

Every time they got caught, they drained Mr. Lee and his teammates’ skills or ultimates, making the game naturally chaotic.

It wasn’t just Mr. Lee; his teammates seemed to be losing their minds too.

[Overall] Back wound is the shame of a loser: Are you scared?

Maybe because everyone was around the bronze tier, they all rushed to block Apola.

But there was always someone who was just a step behind.

That said, the opposing team wasn’t just idling either.

With Apola and the mascot drawing all the attention, if they stuck together and relentlessly picked off the stragglers, the front line would continue to be pushed back.

    Why did they get caught?

No, they got caught while trying to block.

Of course, they would get caught if they were alone.

What are you talking about? They got caught while trying to stick together. Why can’t you block just one Apola?

The one who got caught talks too much.

… Before long, Mr. Lee’s team chat was ablaze.

[Team] ActorIfActorIsGeniusActor: ^^1st, who the hell is feeding Apola?

[Team] ActorIfActorIsGeniusActor: Bronze dude, ^^shut your mouth?

[Team] ActorIfActorIsGeniusActor: Try talking a bit, lol.

[Team] TerminalCancerStage: If someone hears this, they’ll think Kiri is losing because she’s a noob, lol.

[Team] TerminalCancerStage: That tool isn’t working like a tool, lol.

[Team] ActorIfActorIsGeniusActor: Do you want your mom to disappear?

    Hmm.

Yeah, this is Naore, which gets a lot of flak when it’s boring.

Why go through so much trouble to reach silver tier in this game?

    “Ugh. Damn….”

Sighing, Mr. Lee deleted Naore from his computer, which he had devoted twenty years of his life to.

After that day, he practiced Naore alone for a few more days.

At the very least, he wanted to confidently say in front of Komari, “I’m good at this.”

He dove into ranked games for harsh training.

A few days later, it was the day he had promised Komari.

[Komari: I’ll buy you dinner today.]

    [Me: No need for that.]

[Komari: No, I’ll treat you because of the content.]

    [Me: You cannibal.]

    [Komari: ?]

At first, he thought it would just be a casual online collaboration where they each played their games.

But it turned out she wanted to sit side by side like Dora and do a collaboration.

The Team Leader had told him to go, so he did, but seeing that she was even offering to buy dinner made him a bit worried that it might turn into a harsh day.

    Komari is cold.

    Especially when playing Naore….

A few hours later, while mixing soy sauce into the gyudon he ordered, he asked Komari.

“So, I play the game, and you give me advice from behind?”

    “Yes.”

“Is there a particular reason for that?”

“To help the Naore players get their heads straight.”

That was roughly the gist of the content.

They always give him advice while he plays ranked games, but he wanted to show that it only makes the listeners angry rather than helping.

“It’s a sort of mirror therapy.”

    It was a clever strategy.

Even if Komari got annoyed by the advice, she wouldn’t express her intense emotions.

What truly makes him angry is when the Boss suddenly takes a break… and so on.

“The Naore players can be a bit much. Even after giving warnings and banning them, it’s amazing how new Naore players keep appearing.”

“There are too many users. It’s harder to find someone in our country who doesn’t play Naore… There are just too many self-proclaimed experts.”

He was the one who had to deal with that difficulty.

A pure newbie who had never played Naore before was here.

“Anyway, I get it. But this is quite a tough job, isn’t it?”

“Yes. That’s why I’m treating you to dinner. It’s all scripted, but I hope you understand in advance…”

    “Hm.”

It was a decent content suggestion.

Moreover, it could reduce the workload of the suffering managers.

It was about time to build a new Impel Down.

However, it couldn’t be denied that the effect would be temporary.

As Komari said, Naore players are everywhere and appear every day.

Even if he calms down the viewers watching the broadcast, new Naore players will flow in from somewhere.

If they’re going to do it, it seems better to establish some discipline.

Since Komari loves Naore so much, he had recommended taking a month off, but she didn’t take a break, which was a problem.

    And more than anything.

“If this happens, only Komari will become the villain.”

Someone would surely try to pick a fight instead of receiving the mirror therapy.

They might say it was content but were actually trying to torment Jikwon D.

He didn’t see Komari that way, but still.

No matter how much they scripted it among themselves like WWE, it could easily escalate into a big fire in the community, and the chances of that fire leading to speculation were high.

Like rumors of discord between staff and virtual YouTubers…

While he could overlook the cute level of her biting and clinging to him during the Dora days, Komari’s pouring venom during ranked games was quite terrifying from a member management perspective…

But as Komari said, if they could get a grip on the malicious Naore users, it would make things easier for many people.

As he diligently ate and racked his brain, a good idea quickly came to mind.

“Hm. I feel like it’s a bit lacking with just food.”

“What… should I buy something else? Beef is fine too.”

“No, no. Rather than food, I want to slightly modify the content you suggested.”

“Huh? That’s been a while. What is it?”

A way to filter out the persistent advice-givers without making Komari the bad guy.

    That was simply.

“It’s a content about enduring advice.”

    “Enduring advice?”

“Basically, while you watch me play, if you fail to endure the advice, you get a penalty.”

    “A penalty?”

He rummaged through his phone and introduced a game to Komari.

    Rubber Duck House.

It’s a game where you keep an eye on various rubber ducks that periodically fall into a swimming pool while doing nothing but rotating the viewpoint to complete your collection.

Literally, the goal is to just watch quietly while doing nothing.

For Komari and the viewers who feel the dopamine from playing Naore together, it would be immense torture.

    “Ugh. That sounds terrible…”

“For every time you give advice, it’s one hour of this game. How about that?”

    “One hour?!”

“But ten minutes is too little, and thirty minutes feels like a drag.”

    “Well, that’s true…”

    After some contemplation, Komari said.

“I feel like viewers will leave in droves if we do this…”

“It’s just for one day. There are so many streamers playing Naore, so if they come to watch you, it’s because of your charm. So, it shouldn’t matter if you take a day off, right?”

Honestly, while there are many transient viewers because it’s a popular game, those who settle down have already done so.

After all, Komari’s Naore broadcasts have been going on for more than a day or two.

It has already continued as a fixed content for several months.

Moreover, it’s not like she’s in a low tier; she’s in emerald.

It’s a tier that doesn’t exist in the Battle Colosseum, but if you had to compare, it’s just below diamond?

“More than anything, there’s no need to hold onto those who would leave just because you didn’t play Naore for a day. Those people are probably the real malicious Naore users.”

Listening to that, it seemed to make sense, and Komari’s eyes sparkled.

    “… Okay. Let’s try it. I won’t play like a bug.”

After finishing the meal, they bought an ice cream on the way back—ice cream eaten as a dessert after a warm meal is particularly special when it’s cool or cold.

Back home, he set up his illustration at the 5 o’clock position on the screen.

He placed Komari’s Live2D on top of it.

In the meantime, he had already prepared for his mouth to move.

Indeed, it was the best software utilization among the first generation.

Sitting in front of the keyboard and mouse, he finally revealed the truth he had been hiding from Komari until now.

“But you might go crazy while giving advice.”

“Come on. Jia isn’t a noob. I know she plays most games quite well.”

“That’s true, but Naore is a bit different.”

He smiled bashfully and logged into his account.

Click, click, entering his information revealed the shining metal badge.

[Back wound is the shame of a loser]

    Iron II – 66p

Seeing the tier, Komari was momentarily speechless.

After all, Iron tier was known as the place where only bugs, not humans, reside, being the lowest tier in Naore.

Since he had been competing even with diamond tier in the Battle Colosseum, it seemed she was quite shocked to find out he was in Iron tier.

    “No. Why is your tier…?”

“I practiced with the Boss on the weekend and then played ranked games alone. I broke my lane tower and made it to the base. But our team was so bad that we kept losing.”

    “What champion did you play?”

“Apola. Her tower demolition motion is really cool.”

    “……”

She had a look that seemed to understand something.

Then came a sigh and a shake of the head.

Komari thought for a while, resting her chin on her hand, and then said.

“I thought of what to title today’s broadcast.”

She began typing away, filling in the broadcast title field.

[Broadcast Title: The one who beat the pros in Battle Colosseum, is a loser in another world?]

He scratched his temple and muttered.

Honestly, he was a bit offended.

“The reason I’m in Iron is that the team threw. Calling me a loser is a bit much.”

    Author’s Note (Author’s Commentary)

    (Offended)

P.S. Komari is an elf, and since elves are associated with leaves, I named the fandom ‘Leaves,’ but I found out today that it overlaps with an existing fandom name, so I revised the entire first part to ‘Leaves’!
