Chapter 28 : Arched

The sacred green energy unique to the Holy Church gathered in one place and spread throughout the princess’s formation.

As the Healing Sanctuary activated, an intense battle erupted.

    “Kryaaaargh!!”

    “Krooooh!!”

    “Kuaaaagh!!”

The Centaur Orc Cavalry displayed a level of lethality never before encountered.

Each monstrous creature exuded such powerful dark energy that the central army’s formation collapsed almost instantly.

The golden holy armor and weapons were quickly corrupted by the overwhelming dark energy, rendering them unable to exert their full power.

Because of this, the soldiers fell like autumn leaves, unable to put up much resistance.

Even worse was the fact that the Healing Sanctuary, cast by the Holy Church, was failing to take effect.

Despite the battlefield being within the sacred healing zone, the green holy energy was nowhere to be seen around the monsters.

The princess, her eyes wide with shock, turned to the saintess in desperation.

    “Saintess?! What is happening?!”

    “I—I don’t know…!”

It was the first time the princess had ever faced such a situation, and the saintess was no more prepared.

A dark energy that could erase holy power itself.

Such an absurd force had never been seen or heard of before.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, the princess hurried forward.

If this continued, the central army would be annihilated before the left and right flanks could even arrive, ruining the entire strategy before the encirclement could be completed.

She needed to shift the battlefield’s momentum before it was too late.

The saintess tried to stop her.

“You must not, Princess! What do you plan to do?!”

    “I will cut down Ternak.”

“That’s too reckless! Holy power is useless against these monsters. We must retreat!”

“I wasn’t fighting at full strength before. This time, it will be different…!”

Ignoring the saintess’s desperate pleas, Violeta leaped onto her white steed and charged forward.

Even after witnessing her holy energy being erased by dark energy, she still couldn’t fully accept it.

Perhaps, deep down, she refused to believe it.

If her father’s words were true…If holy power truly no longer worked on monsters.

Then she had no way left to restore her honor.

That would mean she had nothing left—nothing but a pitiful, defeated existence.

    ‘No.’

    ‘No.’

    ‘That can’t be true.’

    ‘It must not be true…!’

Gritting her teeth in desperation, Violeta unleashed every ounce of her power as she charged at Ternak.

    “Haaaaaaah!!!”

“Krahaha! What a spirited little human girl!”

“Shut that filthy mouth, you beast!!”

Ternak’s dark, ominous energy clashed with Violeta’s black flames, the two forces twisting together in the air before scattering in all directions.

    “W-What…?! How…?!”

“Hoooh. You are quite the strong human woman.”

Even after pushing her power to the absolute limit, she couldn’t overpower Ternak’s dark energy.

    ‘This can’t be happening… This can’t be happening…!!’

“Krahaha! The stronger the woman, the more enjoyable it is to break her! Krahaha!! Take this!!!”

An even darker, more sinister wave of energy erupted from Ternak’s crimson-black skin, surging towards Violeta.

She fought back with all her might, summoning her black flames once again.

But this time, she couldn’t withstand the overwhelming force.

    “Uwaaaaaah!!!”

Violeta screamed, pouring everything into her next attack.

“Krahaha! That weak little trick won’t stop me—hm?”

Just then, three additional attacks flew toward Ternak:A blue crescent slash.

A piercing arrow that detonated on impact.

A spear strike aimed to pierce through everything.

    “Tch! Annoying little pests!”

Even though Violeta’s divine black flames failed to harm Ternak, there was no way these weaker attacks would do anything.

    “Princess!!”

    “We’ll support you!”

    “Cedric! Let’s go!”

The left army had arrived, led by Cedric, his fiancée Herneon, and Darkin.

    “Cedric! Where is Prince Leonid?”

“He saw your black flames and is charging in from the opposite side. He’ll be here soon!”

“Good! Before we take any more losses, we must take this beast down! Surround him!”

At the princess’s command, the three warriors spread out, each wielding their blessed weapons:Cedric, wielding the Holy Spear of the Celestial Spear Constellation.

Herneon, drawing the Holy Bow of the Shooting Star Constellation.

Darkin, gripping the Moonlight Blade of the Lunar Constellation.

These were the brightest young talents of the empire’s future.

But Ternak, his lustful eyes gleaming, licked his lips as he gazed at Herneon’s blue hair and Violeta’s golden locks.

‘Hehehe… Today is filled with such beautiful women…! And that one over there too… Hehehe…’

His gaze drifted toward the raven-haired saintess, who was pouring all her strength into maintaining the Healing Sanctuary.

    Then suddenly.

From beneath his tattered loincloth, a grotesque, swollen pillar sprang upward.

    “Uuuuuuuhhh!!! Hhhhhhhuuuuuuuh!!! Haaaaah!!!”

With an ear-splitting roar, he violently groped the breasts of the female centaur he was riding.

    “W-What the hell…?”

    “Disgusting…”

Both Herneon and Violeta scowled at the vile display.

As they hesitated in shock and disgust, the centaur, following its master’s frenzied command, reared up and charged directly at Violeta.

“Human woman! Entertain me! Excite me even more!! Wahahaha!!!”

Even as she desperately blocked with her black flames, the corrupting lust energy surrounding Ternak overwhelmed her defenses, and she was thrown from her horse.

    “Kyaaaah!!”

She hit the ground hard, her head smashing into the dirt—and lost consciousness.

“WAHAHAHAHA!!! Such a sweet, delicious scream!!”

    “PRINCESS!!”

    “You damned monster!!”

“Wait, Cedric! Don’t just charge in—!”

Watching Violeta fall, Cedric and Darkin recklessly charged at Ternak.

The holy spear thrust forward, the moonlit blade slashed down.

    “Kheheheheh! FOOLS!!”

Ternak coated his fists in darkness, moving half a beat faster than the two young warriors.

Before they could react, he lunged in and grabbed both of them by the throat, lifting them into the air.

    “Ghhhk…!”

    “Ackkk!!”

His sharp claws dug into their necks, corrupting their bodies with dark energy.

    “GUAAAAAAGHHH!!”

    “DAMN YOU!! Let me go!!”

    “CEDRIC!!! NO!!!”

As Herneon’s fiancé struggled in Ternak’s grasp, she pulled back her bowstring in desperation.

    But Ternak merely laughed.

“You weak, pitiful males are unworthy of such fine women!”

He tightened his grip—and the nightmare was only beginning.

Darkin writhed in agony, his entire body convulsing from humiliation, disgrace, and unbearable pain.

But Terknak paid him no mind.

Instead, he shoved the severed remains of Darkin’s manhood into the mouth of the centaur he was riding.

“Here. A special delicacy for today! Eat to your heart’s content! Hahaha!”

Obeying its master’s command, the centaur chomped down on the flesh with all its might, chewing and swallowing eagerly.

Covered head to toe in Darkin’s blood, Cedric stood frozen in place, paralyzed by fear at the grotesque and horrific battlefield unfolding before him.

    “Uhh… Ugh… Uhhh… Ughhh…”

“Cedric!! What are you doing?! Get out of there!! Damn it!!”

Hastily, Herneon pulled back her bowstring and fired again.

This time, the arrow struck Terknak’s arm—the one still holding Darkin.

With another explosion upon impact, Terknak’s expression twisted in irritation.

“You annoying wench!! Stay out of my fun!!”

Frustrated that his enjoyable execution had been interrupted, he hurled Darkin toward Herneon, followed by Cedric, who had still been lying on the ground.

    “Kyahhh!!”

    “Ughhh!!”

The force of their impact caused Herneon’s horse to lose its balance and collapse, throwing her to the ground.

Darkin’s unconscious body landed right on top of her.

Rendered completely senseless by the unbearable pain, Darkin could no longer even scream.

Meanwhile, Terknak resumed his previous activities, groping the centaur’s chest while turning his attention to the fallen Herneon.

At that moment, Cedric didn’t even glance back at Herneon.

Without a second thought, he scrambled to his feet and bolted, desperately running away to save himself.

“Cedric?! Cedric!! Wait!! Help me!!! CEDRIC!!!”

She had fought so hard to save him, yet now, when the situation had turned against her, he abandoned her without hesitation, caring only for his own survival.

Dumbfounded, Herneon stared at his retreating figure in disbelief.

“Hahahahaha!! That male is rotten to the core!!”

Terknak laughed mockingly as he closed in on Herneon.

Startled, she turned her gaze forward, only to find him looming over her.

“What do you say, woman? Forget that pathetic excuse of a man and devote yourself to me! I’ll make sure you spend your life carrying my offspring! Kuhahahaha!!!”

Herneon gulped, her face twisted in shock as her eyes locked onto the grotesque, swaying monstrosity between Terknak’s legs.
